did u trie it? there is a lag on the scrolling of menu and home pages?

Have you tried this? The value packs have had LFX build names and this seems like a very late KPX update. I have a feeling this isn't a value pack.

Does it have English menu I want to have call recording feature but need to use this in India.
What all google apps have been removed from this rom?

We all should kick on samsung's ass for giving ancient age rom when now a days even jelly bean roms are too commonly distributed by many companies officially. **** YOU SAMSUNG...!

Yes we did indeed signed few petition on their FB page & another website but samsung has treated i9003 as a step son & just left us. Most new phone they launched after this are having new updates but not for i9003.
I will have to change this phone just bcoz I badly need call recording for my work as I am mostly on the move so stopping & taking a pen and paper to note numbers in the age of smartphone sounds stupid.

If i can mange call recording this phone stays with me else will get rid of this phone & buy a new one which supports call recording.

Yes we both know this for sure.

First root it, you can find CF-ROOT http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253.
Then download http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip and flash it in Recovery.

Thanks for these links, although the gapps you linked are quite old but I guess after installing I may be able to update them to latest version.

Yes u can update them.

Well I updated to this rom for call recording & it works great on stock dialer itself no need for extra apps, though I will test it with 3rd part apps too.
One problem I am facing is that after I flashed gapps only 2 apps (Car home & Market Updater) show up rest of other apps are there in the zip file but I cant see them installed or don't see their icons in app drawer.
From the market I am unable to download any apps neither google apps nor any 3rd party app as of now,may be its temporary issue with server or account, will see it tomorrow if it works or not.
My main benefit is call recording finally works on i9003 & there is lot less crap apps from samsung on this rom.
DO NOT flash BAM kernel v13-v15
It breaks the call recording feature on this rom, lerant it the hard way re flashing it again to get call recording back.

Well I left the phone turned on in the night connected to wifi & in the morning I noticed that play store was updated to latest & all the gapps which I was trying to download were found installed. Maybe it was a server issue or it could be that market needed an update before I could update other apps.

DO NOT flash BAM kernel v13-v15
It breaks the call recording feature on this rom, learnt it the hard way re flashing it again to get call recording back.
To root ZCKPL ONLY use Amit Bagaria CF universal root from this link.
bagaria-09.GT-I9003_PDA.tar
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351056
Unfortunately all kernels which are pre rooted
Bam kernel v15 breaks call recording
VurrutKER_stock_v9.1 breaks wifi
Amit Bagaria CF universal root breaks wifi,
choosing static IP also didn't work either with anyone of them.
CF-Root by ganeshbiyer does not flash at all there seems to be some problem. I posted my problem here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44002422&postcount=774
My only hope is to find a Chinese XDA member who has this rom & may have successfully rooted with some tool or some developer who can modify the kernel or Cf root.

I still don't think people understand. If you are running tiamat rom or tiamat update for 3.1 you are not wifi anymore. You are on a 3g system.
Here is the stock 3.1 wifi build.prop http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18315605/XDA/build.prop

new icon for memo and all the stock wallpapers are back.
music player reads the album art more faster.
ram usage has been decreased considerably.
its better than before.
i used the fede's music app(zune like music player for android) and its more smoother.earlier the fluidity in app was not good.but its far better than before.will try some games now.
mail sync problem over 2g network is still there or is it solved???
IS it better than 2.3.6 XXKPQ, becoz almost all the recent developments are for XXKPQ only?

Wifi issue??
Hi guys, one question: what's the wifi issue you're talking about? I use wifi a lot and didn't notice any wifi issue so far with previous version... Please, let me know.
Also, I'd like to know if this version update would erase any of my current installations/configurations (contacts, sms, apps, etc).
THANKS!!
De-Odex link here.
PLease Mediafire links !
Rom is smooth...
Network reception and signal strength improved a lot...

Wifi connection drops randomly using certain routers but the workaround is to use static IP rather than using dynamic IP. If you update using kies then data will not be lost but if you flash using odin then yes data will be erased hence take backups.

I have a doubt with what you say. I originally bought my i9003 with Froyo 2.2.1 and then flashed it directly to GB 2.3.6 (DDKP2) using Odin3 v1.0 and I kept all my applications, few messages and contacts all intact. What would be the difference now? Cause it shouldn't change too much from the upgrade I did with DDKP2... And I installed a lot of apps in the last month and a half
Thanks for your quick response.
Regards,
Cesar.

Using Odin you cant have the apps & apps data intact, it will be deleted, you must have used kies which keeps that not Odin. Thats what I know from last 7 times flash, may be I am doing something different in odin that you are doing.

So it's merely an Indian localisation. Seems that Samsung is no way aware of existing problems. I'm so gonna spam their support.

I have already flashed this ROM. Thing to be considered while flashing & after that:
1) You not need to wipe data if you are already over Leaked ICS version
2) There is no major changes in this ROM. Few thing added which you can already have or huchison 3 is providing for there customers only (as that has provided app for that).
3) Only Polaris office is beneficial for all user.
4) Dont Even think to Flash DEODEXED zip file to this version, else you will find your phone in BOOT LOOP. then you have to delete all thing & have to flash again this ROM. Until the DEODEXED version not released.
5) Take CMW backup first after flash this one. Coz anything can be happened anytime (its for safer side).

I believe the issue here is that if you flash this official, odexed ROM, and then attempt to flash one of the deodexed versions through CWM, you will hit a boot loop - guaranteed.
That's probably a worthwhile addition to the OP as it may save a few newer, unwary users from frustration that we may be able to avoid (provided they read of course, lol).
The way I see it, by including this point in your OP, you may be able to avoid the torrent of 'I got a boot loop when...' posts that are bound to follow from a bug like this.
I will add here though, that if you aren't planning on modifying any of your .apks or framework (i.e. themeing etc.), you are better off running an odexed ROM. Deodexing adds some overhead to app loading times and, contrary to what is commonly believed, results in slower response than odexed files

Thats a gud catch buddy. Yes its ICS 4.04 . For refernce you can check here - XXLQ7
However, the PDA and its release date is same as our leaked version. So rarely there will be any change with the one we have now. But gud thing is that it has a dedicated CSC & Baseband and available as one single package to be flashed via Odin. Also with this version, we can have Multi language support
Great!
Seems a formal ROM from Sammobile. Yes, it is ICS
Some Body Pls download & confirm it whether it's ICS ???

Well can you confirm, that if some one downloads this ROM from sammobile..can he flash directly from ODIN ?? if he is on leaked ICS ??
or has he needs to first downgrade to GB and then flash this rom ??
if he needs to downgrade to GB, then which is the safest method ?? CWM or ODIN ??
Can anyone tell me does this rom has carrier bloatware.... 3 hutch broatware... ?

IMO, definitely.....
Android ROMs are such that, you have == Google bloatware + OEM bloatware + carrier bloatware..
thus sucking the space..

Yes it can b flashed via Odin buddy. It can be flashed over leaked ICS or any other Custom ROMs. And since being in ICS, this flashing does not require wipe data. But if in case , u want to wipe data, follow this method for a safer flash.
1. Being in leaked ICS or any custom ROM, flash ardatdat's kernel (with eMMC erase bug off).
2. Do a wipe data/cache/dalvik cache
3. Boot to Download method
4. Flash the new ROM via Odin.
5. Reboot
