So I rooted a few days ago with Synergy 1.4 and like it. Now i'm looking to change the font and was wondering what app is the best and which one people have had good luck with.
I went onto the play store and most said that they didn't work with ICS.
Suggestions??
I've had luck using ROM Toolbox (lite) to change my fonts. It comes with a huge selection and hasn't given me any issues on stock or a custom ROM (Beans).
I just changed my font with rom toolbox and it went flawlessly!!
I tried to change some icons and that didn't work so much!!

I have been a keyboard junkie since i got my phone, hopping from one to another. Then i flashed my phone and found the glorious HTC_IME mod keyboard and have not turned away.
About 10 minutes ago i downloaded and installed one of the custom themes from gimpsters theme tool. I liked the color for a second because it fit with the theme of the phone, but i realized it was stressful to the eyes. I went and installed the Stock themed HTC_IME mod v27 just to get back to the basic keyboard, it turns out that now everytime i try to enter any text the keyboard FC's.
i not sure if im installing this right or if im installing a version not meant for my phone

You Have a non-HTC Device thats why.. you need to install another .apk called ClickerHi.apk.. find it here in the attached files..
AND REMEMBER TO TICK MY THANKS METER IF THIS SOLVES THE PROBLEM!
BTW you need to keep both apks installed.. HTC_IME and Clicker_HI !!
I've actually installed both of those files prior to writing this post (i think twice to be sure) but no luck but thanks for the suggestion.
I just went back to the gimpsta theme site and created a keyboard theme that was a little more easy to look at. Weird thing about those themes is that they don't come with the clicker_hi.apk its just a zip file that has one apk inside it and for some reason they work and the officially released one FC's

If it's Android 2.2, installing the version for 1.5 worked for some reason.

I just flashed to Axura 2.2.7.1 a couple of days a go and it turns out that the HTC_IME was removed due tom constant FC's. I had experienced this issue prior to flashing so it was a glitch between my phone and the prior rom. I'll definitely give the 1.5 version a try and see if thet solves the issues.

Im new to this whole rooting rom thing. I just put gummycharged 1.8.5 on along with pbj oc and was wondering if I can install http://www.appbrain.com/app/minimalist-metal-adw-theme/com.david1171.minimalistmetal aswell. I tried and I cannot get it to work from the android market.
Thanks
It sounds like you don't have ADW launcher installed. Go to the Market and search "adw launcher" and download the free version. If you want to apply that theme you'll have to go to the ADW Launcher options and apply it through there.
Yup just install ADW Launcher and then apply. You'll be golden. I'm currently running the Honeycomb theme on ADW
Just be carefull applying system wide themes, unless they were made specifically for the rom your using, otherwise essentially you are changing the rom. For example, say the dev of yiur rom made some tweaks in the framework-res.apk to increase battery life, then you install a theme you found somewhere over the top, now you have lost the tweaks because you just overwrote the framework-res.apk with another one.
As said above though, you can apply any launcher themes without worrying about messing up your rom. hope this gives u a little insight.

So just to be clear I can't brick my phone by putting a theme over gummycharged correct?
Does anyone know if that theme I want conflicts with gummycharged 1.8.5

Hi everyone - first post here EVER so be gentle. First of all major props to the insane dev action attacking these phones, esp. the Verizon bootloader. Awesome to watch, can't wait for the results.
Question: I'm getting the vzw SGS3, and while I'd like to eventually flash a CM10/JB ROM, in the meantime I'm interested in clearing out as much of the touchwiz as possible without a full ROM. I'm looking at Apex Launcher and that seems like it can change a bunch of the icons, and I've read the thread about using ICS apps.
1. Will Apex Launcher change icons (camera, phone) to stock ICS icons? is there any other way to do it?
2. Does the VZW root solution posted now allow me to remove touchwiz apps and install the ICS apps I want (messages, calendar, email, calculator)? I'd plan on using Titanium backup
thanks! keep up the amazing work
one other question I thought of -
Is touchwiz done in Roboto font? If not, is there any way to get it back in? I really like the stock look.

I don't have the phone yet, was just wondering - so samsung has replaced roboto? can anyone confirm this?
So I just got my Nexus 5, I was waiting for a stable custom rom to come out to actually root my phone, but I couldn't wait anymore and rooted my phone. I'm still running stock, build number KRT16M with Ponury Kernel. I've been flashing different mods, and I came to point that I wanted to change my font. I wanted to know if it is successful using Font Installer(In ROM Toolbox), and if so what font are you using. Thanks very much guy!
Look at the reviews of the app. Many of the fonts give you bootloops.
I would recommend the font thread in my signature. These font packs theme all text throughout the system (unlike font installer) and they are all tested and working well. I can guarantee that you will never have a bootloop when flashing one of my packs.
