XDA App Still Not Working Correctly - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Yesterday I noticed that when I went to profile > posts that I get an error that says "user has no posts". A couple other members said they were having issues also but that they went away. Mine is still acting up. I've tried uninstalling and installing again, clearing cache and data, and flashing a different rom. Anyone else having this problem?
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app

I've actually never used that feature before, and its not working for me either. Same thing, it says "user has no posts".

Mine still acting up as well I got the same error as mentioned. This happened a while back and it had to do with some back end maintence that xda was doing on the servers. I'm sure it will get sorted out up until 10 minutes ago every time I went to recents participated I got a message that said I had no topics. Give it a day or so.

Here's a post from bitpushr explaining the situation.

I believe the developer (Tapatalk is also involved) has been notified to correct a number of small issues. I prefer the Tapatalk app over the XDA app anyways.

If I click a user's ID, I just a get a blank screen, nuthin'.
On AT&T One X, with the Premium HD app.

It appears to be back up and working for me.

The easier way of doing that is to subscribe to the ones you regularly post in and also to topics just after you first post in there. That way, instead of the participated tab heaving from threads you have no interest in anymore, you can just unsubscribe from them and not have it pop up all the time.

I'm not a dev either but think you might be able to unzip the APK on your computer, replace the icon.png, rezip. then replace apk to phone.

same problem since day 1. i don't know when the last update was but definitely not working for me. Search function is also non-existent.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Oh yea, the search is horrible. Doesn't even give you the option to search within the thread or for a thread in the section.
That's why there are double post. People search and can't find it, so they post it again and then we have members getting angry about not searching and double posting.
The search, searches the entire site. I don't have time to scroll through 100 threads to find the 1 for our phone.

Yeah you should be able to search within a device's forum and also within a thread itself that way rom q&a's not stated in op's don't have to be reasked all the time.

Yeah, I have been wanting to ask a question about XDA's notifications, and search on the app was not helpful. I was concerned about making a new thread, then somebody getting down on me for making a duplicate thread.
I could already see the comments, "you should search before you post" "I will not help, because you are lazy" So it goes not getting the help, we request.
Not to mention names but it's the same few members who troll the forms and flame or report everything.
I honestly think that until the search engine for this app is fix that members who flaming for duplicate threads should be ban for a 12 hours. If you think about it, that flame is going to make the thread unless because it will just be a battle between the op and the flameer. Instead of helping out the op as a community or posting the link to the original thread.

some of us actually like using our xda app (search included). paid for it so most people expect it to work. personally, after realizing that the app's search is not working, i almost always try to log in and use xda and google search before asking here.
there is no need to be defensive or sarcastic here. if you feel the need to report then do as you wish but don't expect everyone to like what you are doing. some people are honestly just clueless regarding the search engine.

You're just a big child. You see a post you don't like and cry to your dad (insert name of favorite mod here) and get it shut down. Some new member started a thread and you reported AND flamed him/her. Instead of trying to be a tyrant you should be pointing new members in the right direction. And if someone's phone is not working, you should actually try to help before crying to the mods. You hold the exact same amount of power as any other member. Having more posts or thanks doesn't change the fact that nobody should have to take crap from someone on the same level as them.

And people come here for broken phone fixes because some members actually do help or point in the right direction. If someone's phone isn't working right for whatever reason, don't turn them away just because there's already some large thread on something remotely similar to their problem. Those types of threads don't get users as much help (especially if it's an urgent issue) as a single thread.
It's like if someone was lost on the way driving to Tampa and they asked you for help, and you told them they were noobs for not knowing every detail about the trip before they went on it. And you reported them to have their car towed because they didn't get help from a group talking about how to get to places that are kind of near Tampa.

Kinda agree with Eollie. Trying to police a duel multi device thread is going to result in endless 'this is the wrong thread to post in' posts in the main development thread....which will make it just as cluttered and unbearable to read. These Q&A threads work for our community within a community but I don't think it is a good idea to start splitting info for a multi device mod like this. Your going to get duplicate posts etc....imagine going to V6 Supercharger thread, reading the entire thing, then finding out half the current info isn't even in that thread....not user friendly. I know you guys are going to do whatever but a second thread in this case seems counterproductive and overkill

True, but it's even worse when the development thread gets utterly clogged with thank yous' and how do I do this. In the middle of trying to get help the devs plus get important information across about bugs, and errors that need attention. Can you imagine having to sort through all the extra weight just to get 1 log cat? I understand that this is a multi device mod. I know it may seem overwhelming for DS. However that's when we could come into play. Such as what was said above xtreme88 didn't know which A.I. was for GB and for ICS. So I, just regular Joe on the block, knew the correct answer and told him. See it's that easy if you know an answer then share an answer. This thread doesn't to rely solely on DS. There really no such thing as overkill it's ether dead or not dead, but their is such a thing efficiency. By splitting this up and delegating some the work to other people we can make the process a lot more efficient then flooding one thread.
This is where I go on my rant about using the wiki again. You can keep the information updated. You can link to it from the OP. Someone asks a question, link them to the answer in the wiki. They WILL ask again sometime so might as well have a good response in the wiki. Think the response is not good enough? You can edit it to make it good enough.

[Q] Official Jelly Bean Issues

So this new Jelly Bean update is awesome, but I am having a rather annoying issue. I CONSTANTLY get a pop up error message "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped." Has anyone else run into this issue or have an idea how to fix it? It's pretty frustrating when an official update acts this way literally as soon as the update finished.
Stop the Media storage application, Clear the Media storage data, and reboot.
Won't boot after update
Yes, as you expected, the noobs like me will have issues with the jellybean update.
I installed the latest jellybean update via Keis. All went well, phone starts OK. Then I access my memos and the system migrates my memos. I come back to my phone and it's frozen. I reboot it and it gets stuck on the AT&T logo.
I do not have a backup. (Yes, I am shooting myself now - "what could go wrong??".)
What are my options?

Thank you. I read some comments on a YouTube video of people complaining they lost all their stuff. To some of the ruder members: You see I'm new to the website and I ask questions that I don't know the answer to. That's what smart people do.
We aren't rude, I don't know if you've looked around but there's a lot of freaking stupid questions being asked that shouldn't be. It's annoying as hell for us who have been around here for a while and we're all sick of telling people to freaking search. It doesn't matter how new you are, do some research before you ask on here. Btw, nothing changed with my phone since last night, and and I did try a fresh install of the xda app. tia

Same here, though mine was a more assorted story (tapatalk 4 forced me out of the beta, bought the paid app first thing this AM and that's when I noticed problems... Initially blamed tapatalk).

I presume the site is having difficulty. Got this once before when they reindexed the whole place. Hoping it is just that.

Wish there was some official post, re: this so we know that they know about it (and it wasn't something that only a select group was seeing).
Ooh well. Fingers crossed for a quick end. This is too large of a message board to not have search.

Haha.. i reloaded everything over to my new Note3 & the app didn't work properly & took me a while to realise it wasn't something i done wrong ... very confusing though as the app stopped working at exactly the same time & still shows blank as above.

Yep, I switched to the paid xda at the same time. Also bad luck, I guess.
I sent a Web report... If it is just us we'll know soon (I hope). Still shocked there isn't any message, nor a ton of "noise". Odd.

I have this issue as well. Any news regarding this problem ?

Hi everyone,
Sorry, I hate to close this thread, but there is already a thread for problems with the xda app and that one is actually monitored by the people who can fix things, so can you please post your problems in the xda Android App - Problems thread.
Thanks!

Just a heads up for anyone reading this - I am reindexing the search which will fix this error. It will take a few hours to run through.

[Q] Question in regards to posting

I've just tried posting in the Samsung Galaxy SIII Development section and was prevented from doing so with an error.
Is this normal procedure?
Please excuse my ignorance.
I'm hoping someone will give me an answer before this thread gets moved by Mods.

Ah. The newer development forums seem to lock you out until 10 posts past.
You'll get in there after 10 posts. I don't think a mod will close this thread :/

I think he was just posting that in here to reach the 10 post limit. He's a new user, I bet he posted that in 10 different device threads. Kind of a d-bag move imo.

Do you have something against me posting or something because I'm a little taken a back by your inauspicious attack on me and now you're calling for the mods to ban me, on what premise may I ask?

Do you have an S3 or the Blaze? If you have a Blaze, then you're all good posting in our Forum and I apologize for the vitriol. If you have the S3, then we're saying go there and quit using our forum to raise your numbers. Jeezus, it's not that complicated...

I shouldn't be answering this question as you can see I did not provoke this attack from you guys, I initially took the whole thing as a joke until I saw the response from Thomas Raines which changed my whole perception.
I've been here longer than what my profile suggest just that I don't post as often as I would like to and secondly I lost my original login profile, I would like to think that that is not the reason you guys jumped on me because of the low count that I show on my profile which is wrong since I did not provoke or antagonize anyone here.

In my OP I was merely asking because the issue I'm having with Blaze is with one of the radios that is based off of S3 and I wanted to post about the problem, but I couldn't and since the Blaze forum is the only one i can post at, that is the reason why I decided to ask the question in the general forum which I thought should not have been an issue. I just wished you guys would have asked me first before jumping on me, but I do see the misunderstanding and I accept your apologies.

It wasn't a profile thing, I don't even look at post count. I honestly thought you were an S3 owner trolling the Blaze forum to up your count. I'm glad you accept my apology, because honestly, there's not many of us Blaze owners left!
On the radio issue. I didn't know there was an S3 radio that's compatible with the Blaze. Have you tried all the Blaze and S2 radios?

Which to us in the Blaze forum, insinuates you are the owner of an S3 and not a Blaze. Because we have had issues of new users NOT reading the rules and trolling our threads, as well as many others, to "get their numbers up", we had much reason to believe that is in fact what you were trying to accomplish. Your question told us nothing that was related to the Blaze or the exhilarate (a device in which is covered in this forum as well). In addidtion, I have been a member of XDA for quite a long time, and the rule of 10 post minimum has been there since before I came along. With all these parameters in place, I think you can see why we were all a little upset that you had posted in our forums. As we can see now, however, you do have a Blaze and I apologize for our attacks on you. Please be aware that we will help all those that come correct. So, for future reference, please post your issue and device as well so there is no confusion.
I also did not ask the mods to delete you, rather than point you in the right direction. I don't ask that anyone be banned, rather than reprimanded, educated and point in the right direction...
