There was a post about it in the Tegra 3 HOX section but I tried moving it in system/customize/resource and it just reverted to the stock Android boot animation. I'm running stock rooted DE-OXED AT&T 1.20 btw.

Can anyone make this work for the AT&T/Rogers HOX?

This is in many custom ROMs already. I run CleanROM and it has had it for a while. Pretty cool to see that X, and makes you think it was custom designed for the HOX. CleanROM has that logo bigger and brighter than the Nexus, pretty sleek

It's probably having to do with the location. What rom are you running?

I downloaded this -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28206370&postcount=10
Put it in system/customize/resource, and rebooted with success. Currently running Turge's King Cobra 1.3

Is this possible? I've seen that the update is a .exe file. I'm already rooted and unlocked.

install a recovery. I recommend twrp. To get twrp install goo manager from the play store. After that if you want the pure stock experience without the headaches it can bring install the rooted 2.20 that scrosler posted in dev. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812459

So the rom comes 2.20? Wanted to keep clean Rom...so I have to choice.....any benefits to 2.20?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Nope. If you are happy with clean rom stick with it. 4.5 incorporates the changes that come with 2.20 and android 4.04.

Actually, this is 2.23 with AT&T bits blended in. It also has much of the bloatware removed. Scott has said there is practically no difference between 2.20 and 2.23 except the AT&T Stuff.
If you are still on 1.xx, it would recommend upgrading to 2.xx. The new ones are based on 4.0.4 and an updated Sense 4.0. It it much smoother, better multitasking and I get better battery life.
I would also suggest CleanROM 4.5 SE, since you will still have the stock experience and keep your unlocked bootloader and root.
You can do this without having to use the RUU, so it will be much easier.

Maybe with their larger user base they will be able to find an exploit to gain root in their update that we can use in ours? ::wishful thinking::

Yup, that is wishful thinking. International users can unlock their bootloaders "officially", then just install recovery and flash SU. So they don't need an exploit to root, nor is it likely they will expend much effort finding one.
Aside from the menu button, what are the differences between Sense 4.0 and Sense 4.1?
AT&T's update didn't include sense 4.1, the international update does. I want!

You don't. He's referring to those of us that are able to run custom roms.

Obviously being stock unrooted has its drawbacks.
If your still stock and on 2.20 then that's all you have for now. If you are able to root you can have sense 4.1 ported from the int hox

Hello all,
So I just unlocked my phone's bootloader. It's a Telus htc one x with 1.91 firmware running on ics. Just wondering which rom I should flash? I used evita if that means anything. Would like jelly bean if possible.
Thanks
Whatever you want man. As long as its from these forums. Do you like aosp or sense?

So I can flash anything from this section of forums? I like sense, I flashed CM10 just to get it officially rooted. Looking for the lastest and greatest, just don't know where to download, unless it's just scattered across here.
Go to android development forum there are a number of sense jb roms. Not a lot of tweaks in them yet as the Rom just got released. I use viper and its very stable but there are a few choices

THIS IS MY PREFERENCE: If you want a stock android feel with the battery and camera of Sense use Senseless RebelROM (in android development Sexton). Right now it's in beta and the video camera doesn't work but other than that it's phenomenal. As the precious poster said, Viper is also a great choice. If you don't like Sense, Nocturnal Dirty and Jellybam are both good choices.

Thanks! I'm trying out Viper now, had it for 3 days. I think I might try out Nocturnal or Jellybam.
Are there any aosp kernels that will work with 4.2.2 roms? Other than the stock one that flashes with the rom?

In theory, yes. You can use an aosp kernel with an aosp rom. Sense kernel with a sense rom etc. Just make sure the version of the kernel matches the rom so you don't end up with camera issues and such. Example 3.30.651.3 and .2 roms. Hope this helps.
i think he meant custom kernels, and no there are not.

Oh. Okay. I was under the impression it would work for any JB based aosp rom, but I have been known to be wrong before.

You can't use kernels written for one phone on a different phone. If you even get them to flash, you're just going to get a brick.

Got it. The kernel is written for a specific phone but can run different JB roms. Is this correct?

You mean, can you run one Sense kernel under a variety of Sense roms? In general, yes. Sometimes, though, certain kernels and roms don't play well together on certain phones. All you can do to find out is try.
But you can't run CM/AOSP on top of a Sense kernel, or vice versa.
Hello all! I am currently running an AT&T HTC One X and i'm getting rather tired of waiting for AT&T to get their heads out of each others asses. I have decided to root and flash my phone. I have some experiance doing this with my old Motorola Atrix 2, and LG optimus V. BUT I just wanted to make sure that I could flash the viper 3.2.3 rom without updating to JB.
-Thank you for your time!

If you have your bootloader unlocked and you're rooted (and some other requirements in between), you wipe your system and install ViperXL. I did it and i had ICS just like you. just make sure you do it just as the instructions say. If what you want to get ViperXL but don't like JB (which I doubt is the case) they have an ICS ViperXL too.
BTW they just released 3.2.4 yesterday.

There is no requirement to already have JB before flashing viper.
