So, I purchased my HTC OneX with no clue that I would be able to take screenshots. Now that I know how (and that I actually can) I've found a bit of a problem. Whenever I take a screen shot and view it in the gallery it looks fine! Every word, every letter (if a screen shot a text) is PERFECTLY clear BUT when I go to send the shot to a friend for example, its all pixelated looking. The one GREAT thing about being able to take screenshots, is being to share them and I've not been able to do this, at least without it looking all hazy. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix?
If it helps any, I am using GoSMS Pro instead of the stock sms. Any help will be appreciated.
Screen shots are full resolution and I am thinking that's too big for mms. You're just going to have to email them I guess. V

I'm sorry if this has already been asked and i'm probably gonna get shouted at for this But i can't find anyway whatsoever how to change the burst on my HTC'S Camera. It says 1/30 but i dont know how to change it to 5/30 for example. Can someone tell me? Thanks.
what HTC phone is it? if you know which one it is, find the thread for your model here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php
and post your question there. you might get helped quicker and more accurately.
or, I may just be sounding like a dumb*** since I don't have an htc camera phone on me at the moment, and maybe they call have burst mode settings, which would have it make sense to post it here. lol.
I don't know, I just kinda posted it here because all HTCs have cameras? I think..
Also is there a way to change the on-screen keyboard from US to UK as mine is US. (The @ is on shift+2 instead of where the " is)
Bump? :S i still really need desperate help.
Bump - again

Nah that's hacking it so you can change it to burst more shots. But when i select burst it only shoots one picture, it says 1/30 so im guessing you have to change it to 5/30 or something to get 5 shots. I want to know how to do that. Thanks.
EDIT: My other post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3832549
I found out how, You got to hold down the shoot button.
Hi, i have been trying to locate a high rez screen shot of Sense on android, not a photo of a phone with it, but a screen capture of the home screen. Because i do not have a droid, is there any nice people out there that could provide me with one?
Any help would be appreciated.
Misread original post, but for anyone looking for an app to take a screenshot of their phone, I just used an app called ShootMe and it worked well.
misread original post
Here Ya Go.
Here,
Btw, I didn't take it myself, it's just some random shot from google.

Yeah, I also tried andropan once, man, it was UGLY.
Sent from my CDMA Hero, sucka!
yep.. thats the name of it.. i remember seeing some BS samsung or LG phone that came with this feature stock and it looked good, so its hard to believe that someone hasn't made a good working panoramic picture taking device...
Hi,
I'm the developper of Andropan.
Can you tell me what is UGLY in my application?
So I can make it better and better
Which device do you use?
Thanks for your help
The Epic's camera app has panorama built in. Im on the Evo myself but my family uses the hero. Glad I lurked on this thread, hopefully the Epic's camera app can be ported over sometime

1.Starting the application into a black screen is a bit - distasteful and not user friendly. Add the buttons that you have when pressing menu here.
2. The Plumb and Level indicators are a bit hard to get right, you should probably think about over laying a set of arrows to tell the user how they need to move to get level and plumb.
3. Typical camera uses the trackball to snap the picture instead of menu or a screen tap (at least on our heros) This would make it more fluid.
4. Not sure how you are storing/retrieving GEO information, but its wrong...at least for me it is
5. Just in my office - it seemed like one picture would have a different light saturation than another frame in the picture.
6. Your stitching of the pictures seems like it has a VERY low error tolerance, and you might try looking at other ways of matching and stitching pieces together so they are seamless.
7. After you have one panorama, instead of showing it at the beginning, have a gallery button, this way they can come into a screen of buttons and actually navigate with out having to use hard keys.
The above was meant to be constructive - please don't take offense, I think you have a good starting point with the app. If you need help with any of it let me know, I have a pretty decent Java/Android background, just no time to make my own apps.

I didn't understand the difference between the two different options for creating a panoramic pic (I don't remember what they were called, manage and auto I think)
I also didn't understand the point of levels
Also it would be nice when the stitching occurs if the app looked for overlap and then removed the overlapping parts of the pic.
Another suggestion would be that when you take a pic that is part of the panoramic shot that you leave it on screen and then overlay the camera view over it so you can better line up and tell where the next shot should be.

i feel like an idiot.. i've had vignette (paid version) on my phone for months now and never noticed the panorama cam... gonna try it out in the daylight tomorrow to see how well it works..
I rock a Droid Eris (yes I'm pissed that Verizon isn't going to release a Stock Froyo ROM) and before I root it and put Froyo on it JUST to spite Verizon, I want to make absolutely sure the phone is in good working order before I void the warranty.
I think I'm getting phantom screen taps but I'm not sure, so I'm looking for an app that will do the following:
1. Log the number of screen taps in realtime
2. show where on the screen the latest few taps were located on the screen, using colors, crosshairs, ect.
Can anyone recommend such a touch screen test app?

Although I did find a good touch screen test for the tablets I sell. I think its called "TouchUtil" or something similar. If you are still interested, I'll go to work and see what its exactly called.

Sorry for the same question but this thing really bothers me. When I take a picture under direct sunshine (1-2 feet away from the object), the photo is distorted (letters, lines etc). But if I take the same picture without direct sunshine, it's fine. See attached pics for comparison (Same paper, one under sun, one no sun) You may want to enlarge the pictures to see the difference). The brighter the sun, the more distorted picture. Not sure if it's only me?

Did you really have to create a new thread for this? Why not continue posting in the original thread? Im sure this thread will eventually get closed...
Have you tried what I mentioned in your other thread?

Thanks for your reply. I was not able to upload pic without sun for comparison so I created a new thread. Or maybe there is a way to do it?
I tried to change it to Daylight, same problem. Can anyone try yours? If my phone is defective, I need to call HTC for a replacement. Thanks.

You actually now have 3 threads about this same problem.
If its been bothering you since February, then why not call HTC and have them do a warranty exchange?
No one else seems to have that problem.
