Hey guys, just found a little bug and wanted to collect a little more data before contacting anyone about it.
After fully wiping and updating to a new Rom my XDA app has been misbehaving. Under the "participated" tab of the "latest" section my app just shows "No topics". Even more strange is that when I click on my own username and select view all posts, it says "this user has no posts". I have since made a couple posts and these messages still say no posts.
I have tried logging out of the app, clearing data, and restoring a backup from when the app worked. None work.
I am running Xi40 + Beastmode kernel.
Anyone else having a similar issue? If so, what Rom and are you using a custom kernel? Thanks.

This issues happens time to time. It's not the app, its xda
Sent from my Nocturnal'd ONE XL Running Sense 4.1
Is it currently happening to anyone else? I can argue that I view the participated tab of XDA more than I use email or facebook combined.
Edit: This problem is still not fixed, and it is a major issue for me, but if a mod could please delete this topic. I don't feel that this thread is useful to the community.

It's fixed now, told ya it was xda and not the app or the Rom lol.

Thanks Xs. Definitely confirming its fixed. Now I have to report my own thread for deletion.

Mine still isn't fixed. I'm getting the same error and it sucks because this is the app I use the most.

Is this ever gonna be fixed?

I think it's a Tapatalk issue because I'm having the same problem.

Like the title says... Literally 50% of the time when I go to check my PMs the app freezes on me and I have to hit the home button a thousand times to get out of it. If I go back into the app right away it is still frozen. I usually have to kill it with system panel in order to get back into it. I've cleared data and cache and deleted and reinstalled but no dice. Does this happen with anyone else?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yup, mine does. About every 5th attempt it will freeze then FC. Ill start it back up and be able to check PMs a few more times before it does it again.
Whats with xda and their busted PMs? Their app freezes, they have a busted sent folder on their desktop site.... That sent folder hasn't worked for me since I signed up 2 years ago.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Same problem here. Only once in a while tho.

The only time I don't freeze while checking pm is when on WiFi. Other than that frozen like a margarita.

So I have read several places using minfreemanager helps with HOX multitask issues somewhat. My question is to what extent? Can you say use web browser, answer a text, then come back to same spot? What about same thing with gaming, streaming music in background and using gps? I really really love this phone, AMAZING display and build design. I am even willing to deal with the 10gb HD, but I stream music, read ebooks and use GPS alot. I just left sprint and want this phone sooo bad. Any input or personal experience on the matter will be appreciated and +1'd thanks!
A lot of people looking, must be.wondering the same thing...

Well lots of people don't read the Q and A section and I wanted advice/testimony from a good amount of people. If you have a problem with it you can always simply leave my thread(s) or create your own forums and tell people what to do in them. Plus two is nice because someone always seems to come along a derail a thread...

Multitasking st of the active People here read both, the mods will just lock/delete/merge the thread anyways.
All I was trying to say is that having two threads with identical topics isn't necessary you noticed before u ported how this one had nothing useful but your other thread does?

Thanks for the heads up. Anyways..how's your multitasking after.flashing roms?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Cleanrom with the multitasking mod definitely helps a lot, but it's still not perfect. You can run more apps than stock, but some apps still reload after a certain period of inactivity. Without source, I think that's the best we have for now.

So you think its something that can be fixed with source? That's good then because I can wait.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
cleanRom with multitasking gives you 4 or 5 apps running at the same time..so thats pretty sufficient for me..anyway..you can also use aokp or aosp Rom based so that you can enjoy multutasking as it was suppose to be

Are there any particular individuals that we might approach directly to ask for help? People who do this stuff for the challenge it presents?
I have an idea. Are there any Chinese dev sites we could petition to that might just have an HTC employee willing to leak us out some root love for the bounty? Or maybe they could help with the S-Off/Bootloader locks? Just a thought.

Don't forget about this!
Most of you are familiar with TB, but I ran across a app that pulls your apps+data from your Rom backup.
It pretty much does the same as TB.
For those that used both which one have you decided to go with.
I am currently using App Extractor and deleted TB.
Here are links to both:
App Extractor-

Actually, I've seen him help more people get their problems sorted out and fixed than anyone else.
I do believe exad is trying to get clear information that way he doesn't direct you in a way that harms your device.

When you say redraw I assume you mean you have your background image with nothing else on the screen for a second and then you see the entire Sense Launcher come back to life as if it was reloaded.
When do you see this happen? Eg when you exit apps?
What apps do you have running when this happens?
I assume your device is running out of memory and is killing off the launcher and reallocating the memory to a current app.
I personally see this when running Firefox with 3-4 tabs.
But it like also depends how many widgets and such you have inside the Launcher.
did you change any settings in teh development part of settings? Ie at hte bottom for number of processes to keep alive?
What other apps do you have running? Do you have any apps running in your notification bar?
Is there a question intended by the OP? Assume its something along the lines of "how do I fix this"?
Is this something that just started happening recently? Any new apps or other changes?
