Phone stuck in bootloop after flashing ROM. Please help. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I just tried flashing a version of AOKP, and after rebooting, my phone is now stuck in bootloop. The Samsung logo pops up, goes away, the Samsung Galaxy SIII logo pops up, goes away, the Samsung logo pops up again, but recovery booting... is in the top left corner this time. After that the Samsung Galaxy SIII logo pops up again. Then, the Android guy pops up, and the blue bar goes about a quarter of the way through, and goes away. This keeps being repeated. Please help! What do I do? I don't know what I did wrong!
I factory reset it, then wiped the cache, then wiped the dalvik cache and flashed the ROM and Gapps, then rebooted. What do I do now? Should I pull the battery?

Pull battery and get into cwm and try again or flash back to stock.
Have a question, do you have a sister named Audrey? Your last name got my attention.

Wow, thank you so much. Kinda new to this, it worked and I got my backup restored.
And no, I don't have a sister named Audrey, haha, I have a brother though! And his name is similar to Audrey!

No prob, maybe make sure you downloaded the right Rom for your phone or try redownloading it in case it was corrupted, seems you did the right steps so idk what could've happened to not boot up. You could try cm10 see if that boots, then go back to aokp, just gotta play sometimes, least you know your backup works.

Also make sure you are using cwm 6.0.1.0 to flash. It is the only key exec recovery available right now. That could also cause a boot loop not using that versions

Wow. You're a life saver. That was what was wrong. I just downloaded ROM Manager and was using that recovery. I switched over, and now I have my ROM loaded! Thanks so much! :good:

Did you have the correct recovery and the boot img in the root of your sd card? You have to be setup for kexec to flash and boot any cm10,aosp, aokp Roms since they require custom kernals.

I'm not sure if this would work for you or not. If you turn the phone off, and then hold volume up and push the power button (hold both) until you get to the bootloader interface. If you can get there, you should be able to install the clockwork recovery and put on a custom rom. But on the other hand, if you did nothing to it in the first place, maybe you should take it back and get a new one?

[Q] Stuck in bootloop on LiquidSmooth

A few details before I start
I am on Galaxy S3 i535 from Verizon, was running CleanROM 5.6 for a few hours after coming from Codename Android that I was using for a few days(I've been going crazy with trying roms lately.)
I flashed LiquidSmooth 2.0 with CWM (never have used odin)
On all of these flashes before i did so I wiped system/factory reset, wiped cache and dalvik cache, and formatted system, cache, and data.
I had just finished flashing Liquid Smooth about an hour ago and was installing a few things with titanium back up. everything up until this point was going fine, got all my apps instaIlled and ready to go, and I head into the settings and try to turn on a few things and edit some settings in the Liquidsmooth settings.
Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop and I'm not sure what to do. I have tried power/volume down, power/home/volume up, power/home/volume down, and nothing will get it to reboot. I dont know whether or not it is safe to take out the battery and start from there, so if that is the route I should take, please let me know.
I have no experience with odin, but I can most definitely look that up so I wont need help there. Just some help on whether or not I should take out the battery or do something else. I just don't want to brick it in any way if that is avoidable:fingers-crossed :fingers-crossed:
Thanks to whoever can help me!
Edit:
I used the search a little better this time and saw people say pull battery on similar cases, and I did that, and I'm still stuck in bootloop. (It seems like in most of the threads I found pulling the battery was a given so people didnt mention it, but I needed to know for sure.) So I am still in the bootloop and am just going to boot into download mode and go from there.
Alright I was able to odin to stock, and now im back to square one.
Not sure how to delete threads :S

If you are gonna try to help at least read the whole OP.
And to manually boot recovery its: Volume up+home+power.

OP you are missing the point here. You have to take the battery out and put it back in before going to recovery. Once you have done that try vol-up/home/ power at the same time. Once samsung logog appears look at the top left if you see words release. it will boot to recovery. You can take it from there.

Problem Booting Note 10.1 n8013

Hello All,
I'm kinda stuck here and I think I have read and tried everything. Wondering if this thing is bricked. Signs tell me know, but don't know what else to do. Anyway here is some info. My note n8013 has a Redemption rom which I have had for a couple of months with no problems. Sorry don't remember the version. Either way I come home one day and its stuck on the boot animation screen. So i reboot it and it has the normal samsung boot screen, then it gets to the rom animation screen and gets stuck again. I cannot get pass this screen at all. Next I try to boot into TWRP so that I can restore to a previous backup. As I hold the power and volume up and reboot I then let go on power and keep holding volume up, then I get to see the TWRP logo, it disappears and reboots. So I am unable to get into TWRP. So then I go into download mode which seems to get there fine, but no matter what I try to flash with odin it fails. I have the same version odin v1.85 and drivers I had when I first started messing with this. I then try all the new versions still no go. I have tried to get the latest TWRP and CWM with odin. Nothing. I have also tried a compatible rom and nothing. Many thanks in advance.

Sorry I forgot to mention what version of windows. I am using Windows 7 SP1 64bit. I am just wondering why I cannot load TWRP direct from my Note anymore. Like I said it shows up and disappears. I have backups I made from that, just cannot get back to restore it.

Did you try to do a factory reset in TWRP and or clear the cache?
Then try to reload factory ROM in Oden.

I think it makes sense for me to brick this some how and maybe get a warranty swap. I've only had this since Oct 2012. I cannot give it to them like this when they see the animation of a custom rom. I've never had an issue with any device till this. Driving me crazy :silly:
Try flash a different recovery is about all left.
Possible likewise flash just a kernel.

Man I tried everything I can think of. It may just be a hardware issue. I called for samsung support and they sent me a shipping label. Hope I can get the warranty with this custom rom animation. they will also see the twrp logo when trying to go to recovery. Makes me nervous about sending it in.
Have you tried installing a new copy of TWRP or CWM in Oden?
I have seen were people have issues starting after TWRP or CWM recovery, they say to make sure that you have un-check "disable Auto Reboot" in Oden.
there is a tutorial here that explains it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102677

I also have bricked my M8

So I was playing around trying to get Sound MOD to work(dont ask me y..I was bored) And I have bricked my phone. I am stuck on the white HTC screen the one at the begining of the boot..the one that says this build is for development purposes..blah blah. and it is just stuck there. Adb wont find device or nothing..I am truly screwed..yes?
Well, ADB wouldn't be able to do anything at that point anyway. It's not fully booted, or in the bootloader.
Have you tried powering it off, and booting to the bootloader? From there recovery, do a factory reset, and see if it boots then?

So you've tried doing a factory reset, and afterwards it still just gets stuck during boot? And do you mean it boots back to the HTC boot screen after restoring an image and rebooting, or you select "Restore image" (or whatever) and it instantly reboots and gets stuck?

It is impossible for me to flash a rom. Cant get into a recovery to do it.
Ok so update: I was SOMEHOW able to get into recovery(TWRP) but no matter what i try to do it just reboots back into recovery..any ideas?
EDIT: gonna try verizon RUU. Fingers crossed
Just a thought here. TWRP can install from USB. I have flashed from a thumbdrive in the past on an S3. You may be able to do same. I know this is a shot in the dark but may help.
Will it just sit at the recovery screen or does it boot before you touch anything? If it will sit at the TWRP main screen you should be able to boot into hboot via adb and try a reflash of twrp or CWM. Your recovery may be corrupt.
You're definitely not bricked. You're catching breaks left and right.

Would a moderator kindly close this thread as I have fixed my problem. Thank you!
After toying around with it for HOURS! Somehow I was able to get it to boot into hboot. Which from there was ablt to fastboot an RUU and profit! Funny thing is I had already made a claim with the Big Red V. Called them back to say that I had found my phone...too late claim already in..lol. Now I have a brand new phone on its way and a mini-tab and dev device I guess..lol

and btw. how does it look, when it works? i mean after new rom-install, i guess theres a loading screen while first bootup is processed?
or does it just keeps stay on that white display with htc logo?
edit: i just found out, that with exact version "version-main: 4.09.776.3", there is no ruu existing for the m4 .. crap, i have no backup

I reommend you to change recovery better usw TWRP 2.7.1.1 or latest Philz recovery.
If you want use Philz recovery...there is an option:
wipe all--install a new ROM ...use this Option...then reinstall ROM ..like you did before
Should work now...but some patience neefed takes some time on first boot

You get the plain white HTC screen with Powered by Android for a long while...at least couple of minutes (or it seems that way, anyway), so try to be patient on this one.
Then you get the HTC One screen with BeatsAudio at the bottom for a while. I think on this screen when it's about to take you into phone setup, you get Preparing SIM card toast.
Then you get setup.
I don't think there are ever any progress bars.

bingo! i installed twrp, did a wipe first, pushed the rom and installed zip - rebooted
waited 30 seconds and there it was finally ! thank you !!!!
it nearly instantly beeped and animated the logo into the beatsaudio-display, from that moment i knew it must work
i have a feeling, that the cwm not really works that good anymore.
also if i remember right, it was the reason for the initial fail-wipe, which caused all this.... :cyclops:
