What is the best kernel for the faux AOSP rom

I'm just looking for opinions

Not too many choices....faux123 kernel ext4 the newest one. The stock kernel which is faux ext3 is also very good.

Faux kernel on a faux rom seems like a no brainier lol

There's really no "best" kernel; each phone's cpu is slightly different, and may work better with one kernel over another. Both the trinity kernels by morfic and faux's kernels have followings that love them; I personally and having great success with faux's stuff. Best to just nandroid, then try them each out and see what your phone likes best.

Aite I can dig that but wat do u use to overclock and undervolt cuz I dnt know wat settings to use with set cpu

Use pimpmycpu. Setcpu as I understand it doesn't work right with the tegra2 currently. You can get pimpmycpu for free here on xda (just search it), or if you want to support the dev you can buy it in the android market. As for specific settings, it once again comes down to each chip is slightly different, so you'll have to experiment. People will usually post what they've been successful with in the respective kernel's threads though, if you want a place to start at.

Faux cm7 kernel is pretty much your only choice since morfic hasn't updated his kernel with the newest cm7 chances in a while

I have been using faux. Been very happy
G2x with CM7 and faux 1.8 kernel. [email protected] 5091 quadrant.

Kernel question

Is there a kernel out there that is based on cm7 nightlies but includes voodoo sound and color? I love the cm7 kernel but would like voodoo. I don't care for overclocking.

There is no such thing as cm7 kernel. The included kernel with cm7 is simply the stock kernel. You can use ogdobbers kernel or netarchys. If you dont want to oc, then dont. The option is there, but disabled by default. I recommend netarchys.

Yes, they've always worked. Use the universal 2.3.4 with the CM7 nightlies.

[Q] Flashable stock kernel for 2.3.3

I was able to find one from jboxer, but it only gave me a bootloop and didnt work.
Stock gives the best results, faux kernels don't have the performance I'm looking for and Dragons OTA kernel gives random reboots.
Does anyone have a flashable zip of the stock kernel or know how to compile one?
Any help, links, or work and effort is appreciated.

Trinity is for CM based roms only. Not for stock and OTA.

I don't think there is a Stock Kernel only. You will need to Flash the Complete Gingerbread Rom to get it. The one from jboxer was also a complete Rom.

Faux CM drivers kernel?

I flashes Hellfire Phoenix, but I do not like the funky battery readings. I flashes Trinity ELP instead but I realized that I can't play some games with this kernel like PvZ.
I also flashes T15 but it didn't help so I guess its the Trinity kernels problem.
So I want to flash Faux kernel instead with the CM drivers, but I cannot find it :/ can somebody help me out?
