[stuck] in joupunt screen after s-off - HTC Sensation

Hi
GUYS , I've done everything , first the htcdev unlock then the s-off from controlbear
when I rebooted the phone it's either stuck in the fastboot and couldn't flash recovery it says "remote image error! bootmagic check fail"
and when I normally reboot it gets me to joupunutbear blank screen and stuck there
I tried to do this in the cmd
ControlBear.exe -r
but it says error format the sd normally in the pc
and I did that with to deferent sds and nothing happend
any help will be much appreciated :good:

solved it by new firmware and flashing recovery from fastboot

What you should have done before gaining S-OFF with joupunt are': unlocking bootloader through htc dev, flashing clockworkmod, install supersu then you are good to go with no stress. It worked for me like that.

Attempting to Flash to CM10 jbean

I have no attempted to root a phone since the OG droid...
Anyways, I went ahead and went thru Hasoon2000's HTC Sensation 4G all-In-One Kit.
Loaded the CM10 zip file and the GAPPS to the root of my SD Card.
Loaded into Team Win Recovery v2.2.0
Wiped all
Installed the cm-10-20120818-bruce2728-pyramid.zip
rebooted and im stuck at the splash screen for CM10.
I have attempted to reinstal and reboot multiple times with no luck, i am at a loss.
Thank you.
more info:
My phone is not S-off (i understand that you can still root this way)
I have also tried with 4EXT....
Getting same result.
I have a feeling its the lack of S-off that i am missing a step of some sort.
Many people who have tried with out being s off have had problems try doing it and see if it works I am s off and have not had an issue flashing also make sure your on 3.33 or 3.32 fw

I think you are S-ON so kindly read the guide about flashing ROM's with S-ON
You need to extract the boot.IMG from the rom and copy it to the same folder that has your fastboot driver and close it then you need boot your device into bootloader and connect the USB cable and then hit the power button you should now be in fast boot next on your pc open cmd and type your commands for example cd c:\rootevo3dnew press enter and I would type fastboot flash boot boot.IMG now press enter this will flash your boot.IMG and last but Knott least you will type fastboot reboot press enter and watch the magic enjoy oh buy the way your s on so this is why it want boot so this is how its done when your s on and also once you get it booted you should really think about flashing 4ext custom recovery and enable smart flash its designed for those that are s on good luck

[Q] Bootloop

Hello,
I have got a ville s4 with the newest jb installed. I wanted to get root and installed this kernel: Elemental
After that my device keeps bootlooping, I cant boot into recovery but bootloader.
How can I restore my device to original htc firmware?
please help me,
kind regards
Did you try flashing it from fastboot as instructed in the thread?
"extract boot.img from the zip, reboot to bootloader and do: fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Fails because I relocked the bootloader.
If i want to unlock it, htcdev sais unlockstring is wrong
My fault. I copied wrong. will try now
In recovery now sais "cant mount sd card"
If you relocked it run that appropriate RUU from fastboot and start over

[Q] stuck on juopunutbear screen

i have searched and have found many people with similar problems but none of the solutions have helped me, that said i apologise if ive missed the answer.
so ive used htcdev to unlock my bootloader which went fine then ive decided to "s-off" my phone which has gone fine, well im "s-off"ed however im stuck on the juopunutbear screen everytime i turn the phone on.
ive tried guide on the unlimited.io website - controlbear.exe -r, controlbear.exe -f. when i carry out the next point when i get to "fastboot flash recovery recovery_backup.img" i get a failed.
this i believe has happened because i started the process in kgs1992's aio app which crashed so i shut it and completed in controlbear, i cant think where else i went wrong, ive read loads of guides.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLPP........gotta ring my dad tomorrow which atm isnt gonna happen!

And are you still struck at the juopunutbear screen?
Then what error you got when you used fastboot command?
... wait why did you do juopunutbear when you are already soff?
Edit:
Got the point..
Try those fastboot commands again
Connect the phone properly .. you should connect the phone properly.. If connected properly the phone says FASTBOOT USB .. if it's just saying FASTBOOT then you didn't have drivers installed or the connection is not proper.
If it's saying HBOOT press power button once.. That should take you to required screen

If Struck on juopunutbear screen:
Well, there's an easy solution if you're struck on the juopunutbear boot screen on your phone. Follow the steps in order:
1.Open the folder where you've extracted the juopunutbear setup files.
2.There'll be a image file in the folder called "boot_backup".
3.Copy that file to the folder you've created during the bootloader unlocking process from HTCDev. The folder contains the fastboot.exe, AdbWinApi.dll etc files, and probably it is in your c:\Android.
4.Rename the copied boot_backup image file to "boot" only.
5.Take out your battery out, reinsert it and boot into the bootloader mode using volume down + power button.
6.You'll see a red writing " fastboot usb"
7.See your computer screen now, the current folder where you copied and renamed.
8.Holding "shift" button on your keyboard, right click inside the folder and select "open command promp window here".
9.Type the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and press enter.
10.Then type" fastboot reboot" and press enter.
11.Your phone should reboot normally now.
[****The above method is based on stock sensation rom. If you're struck in a custom rom, then in step 3, copy the boot.img file of the custom rom from where you've downloaded your rom and continue the steps******]
Make sure you unplug all usb devices when doing juopunutbear method, I couldn't do it for hours then I unplugged all devices and restarted PC. It worked on 1st try.

Thanks for replying. Just a couple more questions. How can I tell which ruu is mines, and where can i get it? also do i format through device manager, or computer devices, or something completely different?
Well, damn, boy. You don't have a brick, but you're very lucky not to after all that.
Sounds like what happened was using CWM (not really recommended for this phone, at least that release), then not flashing the boot.img in fastboot when you tried to install CM. You have to do that on your firmware unless you're s-off.
Once you relock, you have to ruu or unlock again. You can't flash anything from there.
This is the ruu you want, which is for 2.20.
http://dl3.htc.com/application/htc_one_x_RUU_2.20.502.7_att_us_08022012.exe
Once you're done with that, I recommend slowing down and doing a lot more reading before trying to mod your phone again.
Thanks you so much guys! i got my phone back to stock settings and everything seems to be going well so far.
I will definitely be sure to do some correct research before doing anything m unsure of
Thanks!
You should s-off before continuing. It will help with boot loops.

[Q]HTC sensation4G stuck on juopunutbear screen after S-OFF and bootloader is locked!

Hi Guys,
I am a first time poster on XDA and have already done my homework, reading other posts, regarding my problem. A similar post is here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2284273, but the solution is not applicable to me.
So, I unlocked my HTC Sensation 4G, using HTC-DEV and it said unlock in the boot-loader. I followed this tutorial, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182792
After I flashed recovery into my phone, I flashed both CVM and TWRP, it flashed fine but from the boot-loader I was not able to load my phone into recovery mode, so as to proceed to the step 3.
Then, I read somewhere that the phone needs to be S-OFF for that, so then I followed this tutorial to S-OFF my phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870233
I was successfully able to gain S-OFF after the wire trick. Now the phone is stuck at the Juopunutbear Logo, with green arrow pointing down.
I went to the ControlBear troubleshooting guide and followed the steps under "ROM / Data Recovery".
ControlBear with -r and -f parameters say phone should boot normally now, but its again stuck there.
I also tried to flash my boot_backup.img as said there, but it fails
sending 'boot' (16384 KB)...
OKAY [ 3.441s]
writing 'boot'...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 3.757s
My phone bootloader specs are :

I cant unlock my phone again using HTC-DEV
Error : FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
Plus I cant flash the 4EXT recovery, its the sends the file but the
Error : FAILED (remote: not allowed)
I think I have to unlock it somehow and then I can flash 4EXT recovery.
I am using UBUNTU (LINUX).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
You need to flash juopunutbear hboot.
For that check my soff guide.. Troubleshoot point #3 - flashing jb hboot section
Once done
Do the rom/data recovery section.. To get out of jb logo

Thanks Ganesh, you pin pointed the problem, I flashed juopunutbear hboot (by editing the CID, which is superID) and it says Juopunut Bear , instead of LOCKED now. Then, I followed the rom/data recovery section. Everything went well till step 5, means
ControlBear -r
ControlBear -f
fastboot flash boot boot_backup.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery_backup.img
Now, it says boot to Android, so I used reboot on the boot-loader screen but after rebooting its still the same screen with green arrow down.
But I can successfully send stuff to the device meaning flashing, how should I proceed now.
[EDIT] OK I flashed 4EXT recovery on my device, and I can reboot via recovery mode, so I am trying to make progress here, and I will check back if I am stuck again. Thanks
Thanks

I flashed 4EXT recovery and rebooted in recovery mode, then installed the latest firmwire 3.33 followed by Android Revolution HD with Sebastian Kernal.
Everything works fine now, thanks for the suggestions guys!!
