[Q] does tf201 GPS dongle work with infinity? - Asus Transformer TF700

Haven't been able to find anything out about this. Anyone know if it works? Do you even need it? I get my infinity in this week so haven't tried it yet.

Don't need it. The GPS works fine on the TF700.

I tried j-j-jamming it in but it doesn't fit. On another note, the internal GPS works fine.

+1, works beautifully.

If the first 3 answers didn't do it for you, you don't need it. Internal is fine. Attached ss is inside the middle of my house in a bad storm. No dongle because its charging.
Sent from my Transformer Infinity!

I got rid of that dongle awhile back. Internal GPS is perfect.

gps1 jpg is outside, gps2 is inside, a few seconds later. Notice it locked onto a couple of new sat's as I walked into the house, but the signal was weaker. I'd say donate the dongle to a TF201 user.

[Q]WIFI Expert?

I searched but could not find the answer. What file are needed for WiFi? Can I copy ones from a JVQ rom to a JVT rom? My wifi keeps dropping out on Juwe's Smart Edition rom that I using Hellraiser 1.0 on.
Does it get stuck on "obtaining IP address?"

No, it just randomy goes off. Its not my router. I think it has something to do with the rom I was trying to port. DlevROM wifi works great, so does this one if it stays on. Went off three times since I started typing this. I wonder if my data can shut of my wifi? I tried the wifi fixer from market , but no sucess.

So it connects and disconnects a lot right? Go to my thread called [Q] Wifi issues. I believe we had the same problem.

I already tried the wifi fixing apps. No luck. I know its related to Juwe's Rom because it does not happen on DlevRom.
Help? I know it has something to do with dhcpcd and the wifi folder, kernel and probably something else, but I can't figure it out.

Anyone with some knowledge about wifi please help. Need guidance.
So i called samsung about this issue today because this is the 2nd infuse with same wifi issues and both were stock. This one now is rooted with dlev rom. Still same issue. I refer people to call samsung everyday for this issue when they call in. Samsung emailed me the shipping label to send via ups to the repair place. 5 to 7 days for them to fix it he said. Dont let anyone say its your router. Its not its the wifi chip in the phone.

Hello all,

Thanks guys!
As of now "16 people starred this issue"
Haven't been using CM for awhile, but was thinking of going back. Can't do it w/o bluetooth. Starred it.
Starred this. I tried Owain's zip on EB 2.3.7, BT music worked but no phone. Hope CM figures this out.

Starred as well, nice to know I'm not the only one with this issue like some developers have made it seem.
Good luck to us all, lol.
Have the issue but I couldn't find where to "star"it. Does it have to be done from a desktop or can you star it from teh phonez?

Should work from your phone too. Just login with your Google credentials then the option to star/comment will appear.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Something better than just starring an issue is to provide 'logcat's to help troubleshoot exactly what the problem is. Google for details on how to do it. Ideally comparison between a working BT call and a non-working BT call.

The option to star is sortof hidden at the bottom of the page on my phone.
Also, if you are not getting voice confirmations when voice dialing via bluetooth then I think we should star this: http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?can=1&start=0&num=100&q=voice%20confirmation&colspec=ID%20Type%20Status%20Version%20Model%20Network%20Owner%20Summary%20Stars%20Priority&groupby=&sort=&id=3636
I have starred this as well but am experiencing this with other roms as well... must be me.
The new bb causes all roms to have no bt except stock. You can down grade your bb and bt will be working again.
starred!

WiFi tethering for Paranoid Android, Magic Mod, and CM10

I stumbled on this app yesterday, and it was suggested that I post it here. It's a quick easy "fix" for WiFi tethering on these ROMs. In the settings I had to tick "Skip wpa_supplicant" to get it to work, but so far so good. I hope it works for y'all.

If you go ape**** and download a bunch of data, or use it all the time, most likely they will probably catch it.

Edit: nope same results that I got with the play store version.
Thank you though.

I don't recall having any issues with this except with my tablet detecting it after it updated to ICS. I haven't used this in a while as I have been on NUMA for over a month. I'll reinstall PA or something of the like this weekend and see if I can find an answer for you.

has anybody tried the Netgear-PTV3000 Push2TV

has anybody tried this with the s3? I heard it only works with 4.2 i.e. nexus 4

Did a little bit of digging for you.
This is the only thing I found on the S3 and WiDi (aka. be compatible with the device you listed above)

To be honest, the thread was pretty messy, but overall definitely has some interesting information
I'm thinking it should work. I saw another thread where someone said it worked with their note 2

Personally I run a:
http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-HDMI-3FHU-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B0080CXSOU
to connect to my home theater. Not sure how well the wireless video/audio would turn out.
In my experience streaming anything over the air turns out poorly.
I guess the wireless nature of it all could be convenient though

I have the mhl adapter also, but it gets annoying having to constantly hook it up every time I wanted to watch a movie. At the same time, I don't wanna sacrifice sound quality just to be wireless. I'm torn!!!!!

4.2.2 and Netflix

I have a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 with stock ROM. I got the 4.2.2 update via OTA a couple of weeks ago. I did a factory reset and since then, Netflix has been laggy and buffering like crazy. Anyone have any idea as to what to do? Is it me? Netflix?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry i haven't seen any issues with my 4.2.2 OTA update on the Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113 with NetFlix. Maybe something different but i would highly doubt much difference between the ROMs.

I am guessing there isn't any difference between 7.0 and 10.1. I have asked in other forums and no one seems to have an answer. There was one other person with a Tab 2 7.0 with issues with NetFlix and Hulu Plus. Seems to be hit and miss.

I was told that my slower internet connection has a lot to do with it. Since it is in HD all the time, and doesn't change with your connection, it causes it to stutter.

I have had the same problem. I am not so sure it is the internet connection. I get 20Mb speedtest results when I am experiencing this.

I did a factory reset and still had issues so I did a second factory reset and made sure that google didn't install any apps that were on my account (went into play store and stopped the automatic installs after I added my account). Seems to be working now, so I guess there was a badly behaving app that I had installed. I am not sure what it was, I have reinstalled most of what I had on there before, it is still working.
I am going to have to try that. Thanks a lot.

I did this yesterday after my Tab was running like complete crap. It worked. No stutter or anything after the second reset. I just kept some apps off that I didn't really need off of it. Is yours still running ok after these few days? Thanks for your input.
