Yep, it doesn't work on the US S3.

Apparently having a functional led was not a priority for samsung out of the gate. IMHO they need to fix it fast.

Looks like devs behind Light Flow have fixed the LED issues on US S3s in the beta so should be available soon.
It will require root because of the nature of the bug until Samsung fixes it.

Test Version Of GSIII?

Hey everyone, I recently traded my Galaxy Nexus for the GS3 and normally, I get right down to the rooting/unlocking/flashing process, however one thing has been holding me back. The gentleman that I traded my device with worked directly for Samsung and said that the GSIII that he was giving to me, was in fact a development testing device only given out to employees. I was wondering if there is a way to verify this as I know that this could be a potential gateway to future discoveries if this is in fact the case. If any of you have thoughts on this then please share. I've been itching to scratch this flashing bug of mine -_-
Could you post a screen shot of your device "about section"

Sure. Here it is.
Doesn't look any different than mine at first glance.
I hope you didn't pay extra

Alright cool man thanks lol I didn't pay anything actually, It was a straight up trade Nexus for Galaxy S 3

This is what a test phone from HTC looks like.
If this person's claims are true, you should go to the IRC and chat with the devs there.
They could possibly find useful information before you get to using your device as normal- again, assuming this is true.
Yeah I think I'll do that. Will keep you guys posted if anything interesting comes from this

Does it have engravings on it? If not then I'm pretty sure it's just a normal device

How do you become a phone tester? I've always wondered because that would be sick (I'm assuming that's how you got them).

Multi Window View?

Is there a way to get the galaxy note 2 multi window mode on the galaxy s3
I don't think so. Just the video playing while doing other stuff.

It might be possible since they both have similar touchwiz framework.

Are the specs for it demanding? Don't see why not since it came in an update for that phone.
The S3 is more than capable of handling it IMHO.

i was just about to make about this weather or not it was coming to this phone .im very very interested in knowing if it will happen good thread hope it works out
I've been following the multi window feature very closely since the day the note 2 was released hoping for a port to the i535 but its really deep in the framework of touchwiz, personally I think we'll end up getting a 4.1.2 leak with multi window before someone ports it

Anything is possible, its just a matter of how much we want it.
If we have lock screens from HTC and Blackberry phones, I'm pretty sure we'll get the latest Samsung one.

There already is a S4 system dump so i hope its much sooner, maybe two weeks. Whichever dev posts it first will have a lot of donations coming their way i bet

Really? I'm not sure your subtle hint at enormous riches for the dev who puts it out first will make the development move any faster?
Also,
The fact that we have a system dump from the International version will have little to no impact on our phones, aside from a few mods.

What's different on the S4 lockscreen?
I think he means the widget lockscreen, and if he is that's actually the whole 4.2 version port not just the lockscreen.

I can't believe nobody is interested in this?
just checked up on it today and i see the international version is now in there for testing.
I had an app on my DX that would allow for dual boot. It was a cool idea but never quite worked right.
I will give it ago if it works.

Keep in mind this is a whole lot better and easier because we have an unlocked bootloader. The DX did not dual boot well because of the locked bootloader and did not allow different kernels.
