Flashplayer 11.1.115.12 For Hulu - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Here you go folks this libflashplayer.so Works for the SG3 So you can play hulu "among other sites". Download and install the newest flashplayer 11 then use SManager "its free one". Download libflashplayer.rar and extract libflashplayer.so.
Then copy libflashplayer.so to /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/ No extra scripts no funny installers.
Just copy and overwrite. Also works on Galaxy 10.1 and the Newpad t3 Droid Incredible, plays flawlessly if you use Dolphin. And Then Set Desktop to PC
"DO not use the lite version it just doesnt cut it"
Remneber Dolphin player doesnt work on any device that has android 4.1 and using an older version of dolphin will just make it unstable. Android 4.0.4 is the latest one you can use for Dolphin to work with flash.
Added pure flash player 11 unmodded for ICS
Ive included a script so you can hack your flash player if you are using 4.0.4 OS I lost the link where I got this file however I did find this on XDA.
Basically you just gotta use Smanager and run the script after extracting the RAR file to your SDcard. Just take note where your BusyBox is actually installed. If you dont know then download busybox from the market and then run it. It will show you where it wants to install. At the point just edit the script and change the path of the Bin file to the installed folder where BusyBox is installed. If you use the Flashex205 you will have to uninstall flash player and then install it again. Make sure you are not using the modified libflashplayer.so otherwise the script will not work. GL Peeps
Thanks to XDA for teaching us how to hack cool things onto Cool stuff.

Thanks works great on my HP Touchpad running CM9 (Android 4.0.4). All I did was copy the .so file and changed the permissions in root explorer to match the old .so file. This should work for any ICS and maybe even JB device. Adobe updates may break it, but since Flash is discontinued now that isn't an issue anymore.
Allows Hulu in Firefox when using a desktop user agent and also in the default Browser when set to desktop view (it uses a Chrome desktop ua)

[Q] Fancast.com working?

Bump. I'm curious if fancast can be used on the gtab. That might seal the deal for me.
Once I did the Adobe Flash Player hack (see below), Fancast.com videos started working for me. They are the same instructions for the Hulu flash player hack. After the change I still wasn't able to get Hulu working, but I read that others have.
These instructions assume you are using a Windows PC
The flash hack requires you to download a HEX editor. I used XVI32.
1. Using Root Explorer, copy your libflashplayer.so file from the gtab to your PC. The libflashplayer.so file is found in /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib
2. Use a hex editor to search and locate the word AND (in UPPER case). AND will be by itself in the file. Skip when AND is included as part of a phrase (e.g. XXX_AND_XXX). It's found fairly far down the file. You'll know when you are there because AND will be listed right before the version of the Adobe Flash Player you are using (in my case, I'm using version 10.1.120.5). Once found, change AND to WIN for Windows. Then, save the change.
3. Copy the updated libflashplayer.so to your gtab in a temporary location.
4. Use Root Explorer to backup (copy) the original libflashplayer.so file to libflashplayer.bak You can do this in the same directory.
5. Replace the original libflashplayer.so (/data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib) with the edited file. Update the permissions to the updated libflashplayer.so file to rwxr-xr-x
6. Reboot gtab.

[Q] Can you watch HULU from the G tab?

I tried and I got the unsupported platform message.
I could never get it to work but look here

Hulu Tips
The trick for getting Hulu working is to do these things:
1) Use Either Dolphin Browser or SkyFire
2) In the browser, Settings...set User Agent to "Desktop"
3) In Advanced Settings set Plugins to "Always On"(Default is "on demand"))
4) Install either the Adobe flash player hacked apk or hexedit the libflashplayer.so file yourself. I had issues using the hacked apk, I just hexedited my own on the PC and moved it over. Instruction and hacked apk in first post of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=856318&highlight=hulu
5) Install AdFree from the marketplace
6) Delete/Rename the Host file in /system/etc (TNT Lite Builds)
7) Start AdFree, it will want to create the Host file. If it exists when you run it, it will hang and not complete the installation.
8) When AdFree comes up there is an option to "Revert" click this button to allow ads, Hulu needs this to work.
9) Reboot to clear the host cache.
10) Turn back on AdFree Host file restrictions if you like after you're done with the Hulu Goodness! Enjoy!
rooted?
Is there anything special that needs to be done in order to delete "system/etc/hosts" file? I am running TNT lite 2.4 with Cwm, and/\ have had superuser capabilities for everything else, I'm assuming it's not root related?
I did it - I can see the video but when clicked after waiting for a while to run I'm getting the "unfortunately Hulu is not supported on your platform...
Well it works, sort of. It played real nice until it reached a commercial. Then it paused for a few seconds and Dolphin crashed. Tried again and had no sound. Re-booted, tried again and it worked again. Haven't watched long enough to see if it crashes at the commercials again.
Full screen sort of worked. Had to disable the popup blocker in Dolphin. Then it played for a few seconds until the video froze. Still had sound, but frozen video.
I wish there was something not as touchy as flash too...
Update.. Made it past the commercials this time. Seems pretty touchy but it works...
thaigai - you can use root explorer to delete the hosts file. All the firmware distros get you to root. You will need root in order to access the /system/etc and the /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib directories.
jcarlospr - Unfortunately.... message is usually caused by either the User Agent is not set to "Desktop" or your libflashplayer.so is not set correctly.
Download this file, unzip it, and use Root Explorer to copy it into the /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib directory
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K4C7N34D
You can use this with both the Folio 100 Adobe Flash apk and the GLES Optimized Flash apk. The GLES Optimized is linked in Roebeet's TNT Lite Thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842004
Copy the libflashplayer.so file after installing the Adobe Flash Player apk.

No luck!!!
But I also notice that I didn't have the /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib directory - so I create it myself - is that right??

That doesn't sound right. Try uninstalling your flash player and reinstalling with the new GLES optimized Flash apk, then copy the libflashplayer.so file. Like I mentioned I had issues with the hacked apk.

Ok, This is what I did
1. Re-downloaded Adobe Flash Player 10.1.12.1 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=842004
2. Went to settings/Applications/downloaded applications and uninstall the Adobe Flash Palyer 10.1
3. Using ES File Explorer I put the adobe flash player 10.1.120.1.apk
4. Went to the data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/ I renamed the libflashplayer.so that I got from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K4C7N34D
5. Using the app App Installer I install the apk from step 3
6. Turn off the table after reboot I went back to the data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/ and rename back the file.
7. Went to hulu using skyfire (first, I verified that the option selected by default is desktop).
8. I selected a video from hulu and after 30 seconds I got the unsupported message.
Something else, I created data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/ directory because it was not there.
I am using TnT Lite V2.2.0

I don't see where you are doing the adfree part. I got it to work using the Flash apk that was already modded without having to play with the lib file.
My bad - for some reason is not letting me to delete the host file or even rename it and I don't have anything else open - I tried right after turning on the tablet

Are you trying to delete the host file with something like androot, or root explorer? The folder has to be set to read/write or it won't let you change it.

The hack original came form those that discovered it on the Nexus One Phones(rcgabriel thx for correction). It just edits what Adobe Flash Reports to the website the client using it, in this case it reports WIN instead of AND. So, I believe it would work for all mobile devices as long as they use a libflashplayer.so file as well. You might want to hexedit your particular libflashplayer.so file since it may be different from the one posted here. This apk is specific to the tegra2 devices.

Also make sure your firewall is not doing some kind of ad blocking either. Some firewalls like Untangle have a ad blocker or if you use OpenDNS, you might have problems also if you have the restrictions to block the ad sites. Anything that blocks ads might prevent hulu from showing you the video.
Strangely enough, I needed to delete the host in order to have the AdFree even get to the point where it gives me the option to "revert" or load the updated hosts file. I'm not sure if the hosts file itself was blocking things, or the hosts file had some permissions preventing AdFree from modifying it. Either way, using Root Explorer after making sure the directory is R/W and not R/O is probably the easiest route for deleting this file.

Minor historical correction - the hack originally came from the Nexus One forums. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687842&page=3
Fancast works great without all the BS, hulu is a waste of time.

Hulu on x10 2.2(with screen shots)

I found this a while ago and wanted to share it is and edited lib for the flash player that makes hulu think that your phone is a computer so you can watch hulu videos Make sure your browser has the setting for flash to always be on as opposed to on demand.
edit:you need a browser that can change your user agent like dolphin skyfire or xscope ect. set it to desktop/computer mode
Works on 2.2 and I use xscope browser should work for any browser. Dont know if it works on gingerbread it probably should . I'm using flash player 10.2 and it works fine
How-to
through root explorer
download and extract
libflashplayer.so.fix.10.1.105.7.zip
copy to /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib and overwrite the original libflashplayer.so and adjust permissions to a upside down U (permission may not be necessary?)

Tried with FreeX10 beta 4 and did not work on stock browser. Still recognized me as Android. I downloaded your fix directly to sdcard and extracted there. I deleted the old file and pasted the extracted file to the correct location. I also changed permissions to reverse U and rebooted. Any ideas?

Easy Hulu on Transformer - now works on ICS too

Hello, So I was wanting to use hulu on my transformer and was tired of having to do what is listed here as a fix
" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076853&highlight=hulu " since I am lazy.
I have had hulu working on my samsung Epic 4G for awhile using the method below.
So I was wanting to know if it would work on this tab and gave it a shot
Yeaahhhh it works
From that forum I downloaded the flash fix (attached below) and just extracted the data/flash/libflashplayer.so file. Then using AnTek Explorer I copied that file to the /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib directory and hit Ok when asked to overwright the current file.
If you have clockwork and a kernal that supports init.d then you can just flash the zip and should be good to go from that point on since it will run the script automatically at each boot. If not you will just need to copy and paste the libflashplayer.so file each time you restart which is what I currently have to do since I have a B90 and am only rooted and straight stock without a customer recovery or kernal.
I only use Dolphin and confirm it works with that and stock. Cannot confirm any other browsers though I can't see why it would not work.
-----------------------------
EDIT
So this stopped working when I updated to ICS
After looking through the forums I was able to get a updated file that does work in ICS from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427095
Again I just copy and paste the LIB file into the correct folder and replace the existing one
The only difference is that when using the stock Browser you have to select Request Desktop Page from the menu
I just use Dolphin and works just fine
The file also includes a script that can be used with script manager to auto-load on each boot. Follow instructions from original thread if you want to do that.
Can anybody confirm if this works on the any of the ICS ROMS?
The zip does not work. Status 0 error.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
Thanks man, I've spent the last hour or two trying to run that script from other posts to get flash to work for Hulu. Don't know why I was getting the errors I was (wasn't finding the file?), but this worked much better on my TF301 (stock/rooted).
Edit: Never mind, I've been punked, it will show the advertisement, but doesn't seem to load the video. I'm back to figuring out what happened with the script. Haha, the script didn't work because, as noted above, I'm not on a busyboxed ROM like I'm used to... but either way I'm still only able to watch ads.

Hulu from mobile Browser (no Hulu Plus)

I was looking around for a way to watch hulu content without having a hulu plus account. Many times I got Unsupported device even after setting my browser to desktop so i found this thread for accer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1569816
For this to work you need root
Install instructions
1. download this modified libflashplayer.so
2. Then Copy downloaded file to the root of SDCARD
3. use any root exploring app (script manager, root explorer) and go to data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib and rename the libflashplayer.so to libflashplayer.so.bac
4. Then copy the libflashplayer.so saved to SDCARD to the location mentioned above.
5. Set the permission of the newly copied file to the same as the one you renamed
6. Exit the file manager and load www.hulu.com to your browser
note your browser has to be set to desktop mode and the stock browser did not work for me only dolphon HD, opera mobile and Maxthon Pad.
Any other site with mobile restriction should work good luck
