Ill keep this short and sweet.
I have a HOXL 1.85 evita
Used this to get superuser and busybox. Tested positive for root with root checker.
Used this to get to unlock screen and restored my partitions to what it was previously. Rebooted into OS after to make sure phone was still rooted.
Boot into fastboot and used this to start pushing JB gapps/tg endeavoru ota 30/CWM touch to phone. Everything "successful" (no failures or permission denials). Flashed the boot.img and cleared cache
Go back into bootloader and select recovery. Recovery won't load. Stuck in bootloop with the "only for development purposes" message.
Currently trying to download the 1.85 RUU, fastboot oem lock, and then restart the whole process over. Just wanted to know if anyone could offer any advice on how to fix this before i revert everything.

When I had a boot loop like that I did a fast boot erase cache and it reverted me back to the kernel I had from the room flash. It fixed my boot loop and allowed me to boot into recovery. I don't know if that will help with your case but flashing boot.img is what caused my boot loop.

Is this what you flashed?

You realize this is an International One X ROM? It won't work on this phone.
What amuses me is that you know you have an Evita, yet you tried to flash something that has Endeavor in the file name.
These threads never get old.

I accidentally flashed recovery to boot portion. ie
HTML:
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
instead of
HTML:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
.
Then I also flashed recovery to recovery portion thinking that I can boot into recovery.
But now my phone boots and stays at twrp logo.
Even when I try to boot into recovery the same twrp logo nothing happens.
please help.

Hey Folks!
Yesterday, I wanted to install CM11 on the HTC Sensation of a friend.
This is what I did to the phone:
Unlocked bootloader using the Juopunutbear method (since HTCdev unlock was not possible)
Installed TWRP 1.7.0.0 recovery using fastboot
Did a factory reset using TWRP
At this point, the phone worked well, but the SD-Card could not be formatted anymore (maybe dead ..).
So I put CM11 + GApps on another SD-Card and booted into recovery.
Wiping (factory reset) froze formatting data, pulled battery
Installing zip froze, pulled battery
As I turned the phone on again, it only showed the HTC logo and warning symbols in the corners.
To get the phone working again, I tried to restore the stock software:
Flashing RUU the normal way - restore freezes
Extracting rom.zip from RUU and flashing zip with fastboot - restore freeze (dzdata)
Putting rom.zip as PG58IMG.zip on SD-Card and flashing using bootloader - restore freezes (userdata)
Any Ideas?
Best regards,
Simon

Can you still flash Recovery's? If you can try flashing 4ext recovery by madmaxx and then factory reset the device from there .

i think your emmc is messed up
boot stuck at "fastboot menu" and "This build is for development purposes only."
After flashing recovery , whatever how many time reboot it ,my phone stuck at "fastboot" menu.
When I click "recovery", Red information "This build is for development purposes only. Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission." was flashing then back to menu again.
Any advise?
Thanks~~

Never mind it looks like it is already unlocked based off of the picture. Have you flashed/reflashed TWRP or CWM?

Sorry someone more experienced will probably have to help you. I did loose recovery once i had to flash a couple of different times. I tried locking and unlocking boot loader then it eventually worked. What command are you using to flash TWRP/CWM fastboot flash recovery (Name).img?

No problem. Which one are you flashing twrp or cwm? Maybe changing the recovery/ version of recovery may help. I'm not sure but perhaps certain versions are not compatible with your phone maybe try googling it.
no custom recovery loading
I am currently using moto G first generation xt1033 indian dual sim version.
I have soft bricked my phone.
WHAT I HAVE: I have access to fastboot
My bootloader is unlocked
Access to stock recovery
PROBLEM: I have tried to flash twrp , cwm and philz recovery but every time i boot into recovery mode stock recovery loads.
I cannot access USB Debugging mode since the phone is soft bricked.
I have also tried to flash stock firmware no change seen.
I would be glad if you all can help me.
@ravibhat i have read your thread and my starting problem was same as yours @lost101 please help me as well.Thank You
Ok.Post pics, videos so that we know it's the same problem.
Go to a service centre when you can and share what they've told.
did u use these steps ?
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery ur_recover_zip_name.zip
try different versions of recovery, i suggest u use CWM V6.0.4.7
If that works, use the adb sideload feature to flash the ROM
thank you for the reply
@ankur.walia

I can go to the bootloader after entering stock recovery no combination of keys can display the option.
my phone starts normally shows logo and all booting animation but after that it gets stuck on a blank screen showing nothing and no touch response. I have tried aprox 4-5 variants of custom recoveries but i can flash none of them even after trying your command and getting success written on screen.

well if u got the successful execution of recovery flashing then it should go to recovery mode, try holding powe and volume down together for quite some time (5-6 seconds by the clock) and then release it

Hi, I assume there are some posts about this thing already but I've already read some and I'm still stuck >.<
So- I had TWRP 2.8.6.0 and Exodus ROM, was going to wipe data, dalvik etc in order to flash a different ROM, but by accident i wiped internal storage.
So I went into fastboot mode, connected the device to my PC (already got adb in my pc). did <fastboot oem unlock> ,pushed a ROM and Gapps, and flashed a twrp (using fastboot command to flash recovery.img).
then I used <fastboot reboot recovery>, and the phone stays @ fastboot mode, and i get this-

I tried manually booting into recovery and I get stuck at the 'ak kernel' screen right after booting my devices ( had AK Kernel before all this happend).
could anyone please guide me through this mess I've made?

If you were rooted already why did you unlock your phone again? why did you flash a recovery again. If you were rooted and wiped everything how did you accomplish that? Through recovery I assume correct? Sorry just trying to fully understand what you are doing.
If you were already rooted it should be boot into recovery then push a rom and gapps over then flash
Are you holding the right keys down to boot into recovery vol - and Power
Hope you made a backup. All you need to do is flash a ROM, though if you wiped internal you may as well return to stock.

I just received my Pixel (not XL and not verizon version) that I bought from the Google Store and I tried loading TWRP on it. Fastboot works and I can fastboot into a TWRP recovery, however, whenever I try to flash another recovery with that recovery, the the message warning me to lock the bootloader pops up, then the phone very briefly goes to white screen with the google logo and instantly shuts off. Then it automatically repeats that process.. Am not sure what I did wrong (for example if I accidentally flashed the wrong variant to begin with?) but I also don't know how to fix it. I have tried all of the TWRP variants and nothing has worked. I also think the I was on 7.1.2.
I spent all night searching through all of the threads and could not find anyone who had a similar situation so any help is greatly appreciated and desperately needed.
Thank you in advance

Try fastboot flashing 7.1.2 boot.img, then fastboot boot into TWRP, flash the attached twrp pixel installer, reboot to recovery from recovery , then flash supersu, then reboot. It will reboot a time or two if that is normal.

Thank you again for your help. I put the June version on instead of the previous and everything seems to be working. My only question is at the end of fastbooting the factory img, it said, "FAILED (remote: Partition table doesn't exist). Is that normal or something to be concerned about?
