i'll give all the info i can.
i bought a nexus s in a Best buy store in Puerto Rico on february last year ( 2011). the thing is that i was using my phone with the last official ics rom, i had 15% of battery and i left my phone on the table for like 10min , when i tried to unlock the phone it was turned off, and never turned on again, i pulled out the battery , tried to go into recovery mode but nothing happened, i don't on the pc when i conect the phone.
i rooted the phone back in september 2011, but lost the root when upgradet it to the las gingerbread official rom ( it was an OTA). After that i got the 1st official ics update january (2012 ) and i did it manually (not OTA), but it cames with problems with the software an battery life so i managed to downgraded it to gingerbre with Clockwork mod, just made a factory reset, and deleted the ics, downloaded the original GB rom and moved it from the pc to the phone memory and installed it from it ( just like a normal rom change).
after a few weeks got the 2nd oficial ics update and my nexus s was working pretty nice, everything worked fine, without problems, then like 6 weeks aprox after installing happened what i told above.
please if someone knows something help me
Try to go into download mode while plugged into a wall charger. Then Odin.
GT-P3113, CM9 RC2, MetalliKernel SuckyCPU
Also you can try an usb jig to get into download mode....
S.R.
Any luck?

Hey guys,
I need some help, this is my first time to post here(noobie). Anyway, I have learned plenty of things here in this forum..now my problem is I updated my defy with the official 2.2.2 froyo (singapore) it was ok at first though had some camera issues it kept shutting down before taking a shot. now was going to do a nandroid backup have it rooted,SetCPU and stuff..My mistake was when I used the clockworkmod for defy it installed then when I was about to go to recovery mode it got stock in a boot loop..I panic and used the hard reset (stupid enough) that i was looking for the menu (which I just read today if froyo:use + & - keys for it) to which I cannot do anything I went to boot load to flash my old firmware ver2.59 SEA18 now at RSD lite it says PASS..but did not restart my defy.. now I cant even get it to recognize even after charging my battery using universal charger. though i still see the white light at the top when I plug it on my PC..
Can anyone help..sorry for my bad posting..THANKS a lot for any help..
Hi all,
I rooted my gf's nexus s a while ago to get the ics update faster.
A few weeks ago she updated it to jelly bean via ota.
Now for some reason my girl decided to do a factory reset few days ago
But now i want to unroot it and it's not working
when i go into recovery mode i get the android mascot laying down with an open stomach, but with a ! mark in a traingle
(i wanted to show a picture but the forum is preventing me from doing so)
anyone any idea what to do ?
EDIT: after trying to get into the recovery several times, the phone just died
it doesn't turn on anymore
what do i do now ?
lol it could be bricked if it wont turn on. the picture of andy laying down and an exclaimation point means you dont have a custom recovery installed. if she did a factory wipe and has the ota, the phone is most likely no longer rooted. you can just relock the phone and its like it never happened
Sent from my Nexus S 4G
alright
i just couldn't connect the phone anymore to my pc to lock it
found it weird...
anyway it's now to the shop as i couldn't get it working anymore
it went from 81% to 0% in seconds after disconnecting from the pc
after that it wouldn't turn on anymore
Hi I am Sujit from India. Firstly I want you to understand dont consider me a total newbie who got strucked at boot screen by soft brick. I am very comfortble with flashing rom by odin or cmw. But this is something different.
My galaxy 3 is 2 year old. Though i lost its charger. So i use to charge with an old samsung java phone charger. When i use to attached the charger the phone used to hang but used to charge in 5-6 hours. Slowly-2 it used to take more time. But i dint care. One day after using my mobile at night i turned on in morning. I saw the phone just got strucked at g3 mod boot screen. So i flashed another rom by odin. Still the other rom showed the same problem..I tried many rom but no luck..Then i tried official froyo rom but still struckd at samsung screen. I dont knw wats the problem. I clear cache and all everything bt dnt knw.. So plz if any body can help?
i think you can find zerofill.tar in my mediafire folder(spoiler in sig)...flash it with odin and on top flash stock froyo FW without bootloader and see if this helps....

I think my daughters tablet has been soft bricked but im unsure of how to fix it.
It was running ICS i believe. We had two of the tablets(both bought at exactly the same time). I went to update them both and the first one downloaded and installed an update absolutely fine without any issues. The second one (the one in question) downloaded it but wasnt able to install the update. It just failed and reset the clock every time i tried.
I decided to reset it completely and was then going to flash the latest jelly official rom( onto it which i found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704668
So i booted into recovery and wiped it and did a factory reset but then the thing just got stuck in a continuous boot loop.
So i wiped it again and now everytime it boots it just boots into recovery unless i specifically hold power and volume up to boot into download mode.
So i thought that was odd but i would just go ahead and put the rom on and maybe that would fix the issue. So i used odin and the jelly bean rom shown in that thread above
P5113UECLK7 (4.1.1) - Cellular south November 2012 (Official)
It all went fine it passed and i thought it would now work. I had to unplug the cable and it turn the thing on as it just started charging after completing instead of restarting and it did come up with a status loading bar as if it was going to do something but then it just turns itself off again after a few seconds and again when you try to turn it on it just goes straight into recovery.
The tablet is charged up to 100% but i cant get it to do anything else.
I tried using ICS instead P5113UEBLI1 (4.0.4) - Singapore September 2012 (Official)
but still the same. Not sure what else to do? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
In Odin did you have the auto reboot option selected? I'm asking because I was in the situation as you..I flashed wrong cm10 ROM and it was just in a boot loop.. I let the battery run out and then I charged it while it was off. I downloaded the stock jb firmware(mine came with jb preinstalled) and flashed with only auto reboot checked nothing else and it worked..

Hi Guys,
So the issue seems to be straightforward and I read many threads about it, but none of them actually solve my problem.
My S6 is locked to Orange Poland (which is currently running 6.0.1 Android). I wanted to flash unbranded Marshmallow rom but that did not go well and in the process of flashing Odin returned an error (Complete(Write) operation failed). That's the way my phone became bricked. I tried to reflash this rom several times (while changing ODIN versions and also I tried single AP as well as 4 files + PIT). None of this worked. So I decided to go back to the branded rom—exactly the same as it was before.
Odin this time didn't show any fail messages and the phone actually started booting up. And here is my problem, it is stuck on the Samsung logo. I tried going to recovery mode, wipe cache and then factory reset but it still cannot go through Samsung logo.
My phone was never rooted. I have up to date samsung usb drivers. I tried SmartSwitch but it fails to recover the phone every time.
Do you kind people have any ideas?
Hi again,
Just a quick update from me. I finally managed to revive my phone. It seems that the bootloop was caused by the low battery (actually 0%, while being connected to PC). Once I charged the phone to 100%, it miraculously booted up and went to the setup wizard. I have no idea if the low battery had an effect on it, but once I charged it, the phone started to work properly.
In the end, I flashed back the stock rom with Orange Poland brand. The rom consisted of 4 files + PIT file. I used Odin3_v3.12.3.
Maybe this will help someone

Thats why you should always charge your phone to at least 70% before doing any flash :good:
