3500 mAh battery - Samsung Infuse 4G

So its been a full week of testing this battery on my infuse and no lie its amazing. It last about 2x the original battery with full usage. Use as in playing game for 1hour and 30 mins= average 13% drain. Use of Facebook,YouTube, and generally anything that uses the web for about a good 6 hours(not in use every min) average 27% drain. Then next day still have a good amount to last me through the day. First day around 55-65% and second 49-2 or dead. Its really nice, infuse not as heavy(pretty much same weight). Case fit perfect, durable and nice feel to it.

You're talking about the replacement back cover, right?
But as far as I understand, there is no protective outer case (extra protection against dropping etc) suitable for use with the extended battery, right?

Just pick up 3500 mAh... I love the extra time but I already miss my bodyglove case. Tried to modify a cheap rubber case, didn't want to ruin the bodyglove, but that didn't work out too well. Any cases out there for the bigger back?

Something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/Green-Externa...347898124&sr=8-9&keywords=3000+mah+power+bank
Looks pretty good, only $17.25
Assuming you want to carry something extra around, I guess there are two possibilities:
Option 1 - carry spare battery (charged to something like 80%... avoid 100% to extend battery life)
Disadvantage: Have to open up phone (always possibility to contaminate) to replace battery, possibly daily if that's your pattern. Might confuse your battery monitoring widget program and possibly the built-in battery %-remaining feature.
Advantages: In the time it takes to swap battery and boot back up, you're done.
Option 2 - carry a power bank which can charge your battery in a few hours.
Disadvantage - takes a few hours plugged in to get back. Doesn't really have much way to know how much juice is left other than LED when fully charged
Advantage - don't have to open up phone or reboot.

Thanks for the info. Since I did spend some money (a whole $8 on my 3500 mAh), I will try to get use to it rather than switching. Hopefully, someone comes up with a case.
However, that is an excellent idea with the battery power back up for when we lose power (happens more than I would like). Keeping one of them around would have some advanatages.
Edit: cheap ebay 3500 mAh is now draining faster than my regular battery. Might not need to worry about the case...

Hows the battery doing 5 days later?

I experienced a drain on the 3500 and the 1750 stock battery for several days. I had to switch ROM builds but didn't put the other battery back until last night. Right now it is plugged in so I will report back in a day or two.
Edit. Using it two days now and it drains as fast as the 1750. Will give it one more day then back to OEM and Bodyglove case.

Battery lasted one day running really well and the next day (after recharge) drained twice as fast. Went back to standard battery and am using this as a back up now. Very disappointed in the quality.

I tried one of these when I had a captivate and had the same issue. First charge was great but it got to where it lasted the same as the original battery. You have to go Anker or Mugen for descent quality batteries.

I might check it out. Thanks.

I just got in my 3500mAh battery from the ebay seller known as battery gallery, and at 1213; I still have 80% of my battery left, and I unplugged it from the charger at 0800 I consider this pretty impressive, but it's only day 1 of using the battery.

I wish you better luck then I had. First day was good, second day okay, third day someone pulled the plug on the drain. Drop very fast. Of course I could have just gotten a bad battery.

For 16.99 last week. Full charge start with heavy use and wifi teathering I'm at 15 hours with 25% left. Gonna run it down before I charge it again. Checked today price is at 18.99 now still a good price. Being shiped by simple cell.

I have an OEM 1800mah battery as well and it's goddamned adequate. I'm no legal expert but I'm pretty sure it should be a crime that the phone was released with only 1500mah.
just got my OEM 1800mah battery yesterday, so we'll see the results soon.. Plugged it in overnight and unplugged this morning before work.. so we'll see how it holds up by comparison..

QCell SkyRocket 3850mAh Extended Battery

with stock battery, i've been getting extremely horrible battery life around 6 hours maximum with tethering. I think most people using this phone in this forum is getting the same problem
Went to amazon.com and found a 3850mAh Extended Battery for Skyrocket made by QCell. It have the highest mAh rating among all other manufacturers.
Product arrive 1 day from purchase. The seller seems to ship out pretty quick. I charge the battery for 8 hours prior to use and now with this battery, I can last full day without charge.
The cover that comes with the battery is in reflective black. Matches quite nicely to the phone.

It's better idea to buy 3 pack of knock off batteries with charger on Ebay for $10. That's what i've done and i've had the batteries for 2 months now.. The knock off batteries last about 80-90% as long as the original. I always keep two charged and swap them whenever needed and bam back to 100% and no oversized backing in which no case can fit

I got those and they worked ok. Don't last as long as the OEM but you have an option of switching the batteries when waiting for the other to charge. They take a long time to charge from 0 to 100%. Still a better alternative than getting stuck with 1 battery. For me they last about 4 hours with listening to the radio on LTE and with everything else running in the background. This phone does suck a lot of juice.

Sounds like its not even close to 3800mah, or even 1800mah. Cheap batteries are notorious for overstating their actual capacity.

If u guys read what I wrote you would only have to spend $10 and get 3 batteries along with charger.. One of the batteries lasts a decent amount of time. I've been running on the Ebay battery since 6am and its now 152 pm. And I'm at 30% with decent data usage. I got my stock battery fully charged and ready to go for when I run out.. And I have the other two batteries as back ups if one of the batteries decides to fail. That beats having an oversized backing anyday

Finally had a chance to run this battery through its passes the last few days.
Let me describe my day.
I run an IT shop so I get lots of status, info, newsletter etc emails throughout the day. In addition I get text messages regularly, email on my gmail account, facebook updates and hourly twitter updates via plume.
So my phone comes off the charger around 7am(on home wifi), I start dealing with work emails at that time.
I do a commute of about 40-45 min where I'll listen to music that is stored on my phone pipe through my cars audio system in the morning. Get to work(go back to wwifi), then the phone will be on on sound notification for text and work email throughout the daily. I also run NoLED for notification.
Lunch time I'll come off wifi as I head out but I'll the phone will see increase usage as I'll browse various apps, play a few games, etc.
Back to just status notifications for the rest of the work day(back on wifi), then an evening commute home listening to music again, and back on wifi at home.
With that in my the stock battery will start at 100% and by the end of the day as I get in my car to head home be at about 15%-17%.
Yesterday the extended battery was at 45% when I got in the car, and by about 10:30pm was still at about 15%.
Today I didn't use my phone as much today (limiting it to mostly status updates which still come regularly) and my phone right now is at 65%.
This will work for me. I really only have an extended battery for periods where I'm not going to be near a charger... basically a day when I know I'm going to be out and about, as oppose to at work or in my car.
So with that being said I'm happy with the purchase.
edit: I also own an Energizer XP18000 which I can use to charge my phone and my Xoom 4G tablet that will come in to play when I head out on business trips for IT conferences.
So, you're gettng a 30% increase from a supposed 1950mah increase in battery capacity over the 1850 mah stock. That sounds like a 2400mah battery rather than a 3800mah battery.

My testing was very unscientific and this is really only the first day of usage. I vaguely remember that with many of these batteries folks have commented that the increase gains fairly quickly over a short period of usage/recharging?

I'm happy with it, I finally feel like I can do whatever I want as much as I want all day and not have to feel like I need to charge as often as possible. Again I'm very pleased with it so far.

I posted some pictures here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25310131&postcount=6 that show the difference in phone width with and without, bare battery width difference and the color difference between back plates on the white model.
I got my qcell battery about three days ago and so for its lasting pretty well. Im on my third day of using it(charged the battery at night) and its steadily been improving. Right now I'm at 68% right now at 9PM and it has lasted over 14 hours with brightness on low, listening to music all day, texting sporadically, playing an online game for over an hour, some youtube videos, and syncing 2emails and engaget. Screen was on for over 2 hours. I only have one bad thing to say which is it sometimes gets really hot and I have to shutdown phone to cool it down, maybe its my cf or something like that.

Re: Zala 3800mAh Battery + Cover
I'm still in the process of testing it and documenting it. So far I get over 16 hours with more than 30% still remaining. You can easily get 24 with about 4 hours of screen time. You can even push it to 5 if you watch a movie. But I think spending that much time on your phone is unnecessary.

Dang, you're spending 2-4 hours in the gym everyday? You're either freaking massively strong, or you're looking at yourself in the mirrors too much.

even pro power lifters don't spend that much time at once... your either over working or you stand around and talk
of course I could be wrong and will never know as this is the internet, but that's my experience anyway lol. Even the great Arnold spent no more than 1 1/2 hours. Granted, he worked out twice a day, but were talking one shoot here
Re: Zala 3800mAh Battery + Cover
The first 2 pictures show the device always on WiFi. I easily got a day and a half with way over 7 hours of screen time. The next 2 pictures show the device with about 8 hours on 3g and a 2 hour phone call. This made the battery last only 18 hours but I still consider this a full day. Great battery, buy it if you don't think the stock one is good enough for you!

Believe me it's an addiction, between my main lifts for the day, core and cardio, the hours add up.
If you worked out regularly you would understand.

Do you even lift bro? I can spend 2 hours in the gym easily. On a more serious note this is about the battery not about working out.

Bench: 275
Dead lift: 390
Squat: 450
Dumbbell Shoulder Press:100
Curl:65
All for reps @ 5'11 194, 16% so I gotta lose a little more lol
But back on topic im not a fan of these batteries, yes they add significant life to your phone but at the tradeoff of several ounces and significant bulk. Extended batteries don't fit into pockets too well in my experience
Thanks
Thanks lol, don't know how I missed that.

I had a good laugh
Thanks for your review though. I've ordered this setup as well, it comes in next week.
I think this tip posted by user 'hitekredneck' in another thread was so good it might as well be posted in here too. I've used this tip with the stock battery and I'm having a big improvement in how long it lasts. Running CM10.1

No, I use nothing at all. Just best use practices and common sense. One more thing I might mention. After doing the overnight charge routine I always shut my phone completely down and let it sit for a minute or two before starting it back up. If you use CPU Spy to check deep sleep cycles you will see why. If I do not shut down as mentioned my phone will still go into deep sleep but not as consistently, nor for as long, as it does when I do the shut down and restart after charging. Also, when powering on, if you have to wait for more than 3 or 4 seconds holding the power button before feeling the device vibrate, pull the battery for 30 seconds, put it back in a try again. Deep sleep is never consistent for me when I have to hold the button down for 8-10 seconds before I feel the vibration signaling the startup sequence.

That's way too long for one session. Some research would explain why. Yes, I lift bro.

NFC laza
It was not commented on so I figure I would add my two cents in:
The Laza battery has a NFC coil in the back of the battery, just like the stock one. Some of the cheap extended batteries leave this feature out.
After testing the Stock Battery NFC coil vs the Laza Battery NFC coil I can confidently say:
There is no difference in pick up distance or read/write speed on a Type A (ISO/IEC 14443 type A) Mifare 1k chip ( same thing as a Samsung Tec-tile)
Yes and No
When I ordered my battery they were out of stock of the NFC batteries. So instead of waiting a month for them to ship the NFC battery I asked them to ship me a non-NFC battery. So sadly I don't have NFC capabilities =(.

Halo Pocket Power 2800 mAh power pack

My wife got one of these for everyone in the family for Valentine's day.
She didn't say where or how much but she's a QVC fan so I'm guessing she got it here:
http://www.qvc.com/HALO-2800mAh-Poc...Cellphones-&-Electronics.product.E223301.html
$30 each + S&H, but cheaper if you order several
More info here:

and here:

The good things:
When you press a button, an LED lights Green for almost full, blue for half-full, red for almost empty
Delivers 1000 milliAmps while charging phone... should charge it 20-100% in about 1.5 hours.
The bad things:
The usb port on the powerpack is a female USB (just like on your pc).
So when charging your phone from the powerpack, you can use any old cord (which is fine) BUT....
.... when charging the powerpack (from your pc or your normal charger), you need a special female-to-female USB cord. The supplied multi-purpose cord fits the bill, but if you ever lose it, you'll have a hard time finding another. The typical USB cable has male on one end and female on the other. I guess I'll rubber band the cord together with the powerpack so I always have the cord handy when/where I need it.
I previously bought 3 Feipusi batteries for $5 each. That seemed like a good emergency/backup plan to me. A spare battery is actually much smaller and easier to carry around than this power pack plus the cord. I guess this is handier backup plan since you don't have to power down the phone and pull of the back. Also if you want to help out a a buddy with a different style phone, chances are your battery won't fit his phone but this powerpack will work.
I prefer to extend tu life of my phone . I got a 2100mah battery for 7$ on ebay to replace the stock 1750mah . It goes up to 3500mah but at the cost of increasing the phones back cover in size making all phone cases unable to fit. Also i use juice defender and Aeon custom rom makes my infuse around 30+ hours of battery time in normal use. Saves the trouble of switching battery for only a 7$ investement

$7???? went to ebay and they were all $34+ except for one from China that didn't say what it was. I have the OEM and a 3500mah but that extended back is a killer (slippier). Someone suggested a couple of coatings of liquid rubber for the back would work. Haven't gotten to that point and if I can find a battery at the right price like you did, I might never get to that option.
I just went on ebay . Do a research "infuse 2100mah" cheapest one was 7.35$ and its the same onr i got

Well received my battery today. Just gonna run it down fully and than charge it. We'll see what happens. I've read it takes a few charges to get it in sink.

It is a myth that you need to drain a new battery. Modern li-ion batteries do not need this and actually hurts battery life. Do a google search for "drain new battery myth" and you will see many articles on the subject.
After all the research I've done, it seems that any time you let your battery get below 65% or so, you are actually hurting battery life and will have to get a new one sooner than later.
Well this new battery and running Avatar 0n my phone it lasts me from sun up till after sun down every day with lots of use on my breaks at work and beyond. Totally love it. Way better than b4 when it lasted maybe 6 hours
