Overall I think this case is very solid. It's snug and grips the tablet great. Does not have the cheap feel or smell at all. I would recommend this case to anyone looking fir something strong.

Looks identical to the rooCase I use. If it's a matter of "same product, same factory, different label" then you'll love this case. Mine was initially very snug, especially the top closure, but has since broken in to be a perfect fit. Thanks for the review and photos.

Yeah it does look similar. The only difference in mine is the elastic at the top of the door to use when holding it in hand to keep it folded back. It still has the hand grip also like the Moko. Overall it feels premium though

Question, you ordered via Amazon, yes? Can you tell me when you placed your order?
I ask, because I ordered the same case, straight from yourpoetic.com, several weeks ago. They e-mailed me back and told me the product would not be available until August 6th. So I'm rather irate to see that orders via Amazon/Exact-Deal are being fulfilled, whereas a DIRECT order has been ignored.

I ordered from Amazon on 7/30/12. I am an Amazon Prime member and I got it overnight for 3.99 shipping (free 2day). That would be kind of screwed up if they did that. I wonder if it's actually Poetic selling it on Amazon or a vendor.

I purchased mine from their web site. Now the site is down, they have my money and I have gotten no response from them.
I am assuming this does not rotate?
Now the hard part is getting a vendor who is willing to ship the item to me in Aus...
Thanks for the review.
Just ordered this case on Amazon, should have it in my hands on Saturday. Will update on my impressions as soon as I get it.
EDIT:
I finally got my case and my Infinity and the case is perfect.
FIT: Perfect. Not a space loose or anything too tight, it fits how you'd thing it should and the tablet feels secure on it.
BUILD: Excellent. The external material which is sort of a pebble leather feels strong and looks high-end. The micro-fiber interior feels soft and serves as good grip. It won't slip. The handstrap comes handy for portrait mode and you really miss one for landscape mode. The only thing with the handstrap is that you'd thing is going to loosen in the future and lose some of it's tighness.
On the backside of the cover you see the line that's created when you use the cover as a stand. While looking at the pictures I thought this looked cheap which it doesn't in person.
LOOKS: It looks professional, not a thing to envy other cases. If you're afraid how it's going to look in business environments, don't be, it looks very professional.
PORTS: All ports have their openings and none of them are blocked, including the charger and the speakers.
STANDS: Has two different stand slot for different viewing agles, it works perfect, not much to say there. In order to use it you have to remove the two lower hooks, which is quite easy, and securing the tablet back on them is also quite simple. As for now it doesn't feel like those two hooks will loosen easily which I was afraid of.
BULKINESS: It's not bulky, actually quite slim. It has some padding to protect the tablet, not too much to make it feel too bulky or two little so it feels unprotected.
It also has some sort of hook that clips both sides of the cover when is closed which comes handy as well as a wrap for securing both sides when you close or fold it so it's never going to open by itself.
Hope this helps.

Interesting, I've emailed them a few times about shipping to Aus, and it seems to have fallen on deaf ears each time.
I emailed yesterday and Alex replied and told me that the case was a pre-order item and available on 6th August. I then noticed Amazon UK had it in stock so I asked Alex to cancel my order.
I had originally ordered from Poetic as well, but cancelled and got one overnight from Amazon Prime. I had one for my TF101, and this one is even better. Love the addition of the hand strap and the the way it stays propped up a bit for typing when folding the lid back is pretty good. I would say that works better than the third groove that previous models had for typing because it would always slip out. I couldnt figure out what the thin elastic strap was for at first, but I know assume it is for holding the lid in place when folded back and using the hand strap (or just holding it). I found that I can wrap that elastic band around the corners of the device and the latch cover in the middle. That works well, I just hope the cover doesn't soften up too much from securing it tight like that and have it lose the angle of typing by folding it back without the band.
I also out a Skinomi carbon fiber backing on the TF700 and it still seems to fit in the case just fine. I now have the case fir when I am on the go, and scratch protection when I have it out of the case at home. I have been carefully putting it in and out if the case so the carbon fiber backing doesnt peel on the corners. I am hoping that I am just being overly cautious for now. If it ends up peeling, I'll probably just snip the tiny pieces of the backing that wrap the corner.
So far the combination of the Skinomi ans the Poetic folio are awesome.

Just a head's up, I did have to cut the tiny pieces off that wrap around the corners on the bottom. They are pretty skinny and going in and out of the case ended up peeling those off. It leaves the bottom two corners exposed, but I'm not really worried about that, I am more concerned about the scratches across the back when laying it down unprotected. I also DO have to press it in rather hard to get it to stay in the bottom corners of the case (not sure if that is because of the case or the skin), but I suspect it will break in quickly.

I did, which made everything stick very well (including those corner pieces), but the pressure/rubbing of the case's corner brackets pretty quickly messed them up. Those corner brackets are pretty tight (at least for me). I stuck them back on with heat again a few times, but eventually realized I was better without them. I left the top corners on, it was the bottom corners.
I got mine today and it fits really well. Just curious, what is the grey elasticy bit for?

I did the same when I couldn't pay with a credit card on their website (some issues with cardholder address when using a foreign address or something). Sent them an email and I got an invoice via Paypal instead, and received the case earlier than expected. I was told that it wouldn't be in stock until August 6th, but I guess they got some stock before that at least. I received it on August 3rd and it would've taken a couple of days of shipping getting it to Norway as well.
I've got a couple of photos of the case (linked them in the general case thread as well) up here:

I've been searching the net for a hard case for my i9000m (currently in for repairs..)
I have looked at a few and these peak my interest, but I would like your input on what to buy and it doesn't have to be from something I post.
Here they are:
Case-Mate Tough
and
Anycall Punch Mesh Case
Thanks for your opinions!
About the Anycall Mesh case: it's nice and cool, doesn't add too much thickness to your phone but... it does not protect well. I am using mine about 2 months and it already cracked (not completly, some small piece in the upper left side had broken). It's still usable, but imo it's not very durable (i'm very careful about my phone). I'm looking for something with more protection, but I fear there will be nothing that stylish
How about any kickstand cases that have a lip on the front to prevent screen damage?
Problems with some hard cases is it might damage the color on the edges and most of them doesn't protect the upper top and bottom of the phone, so its not 100% protection.
But you have a good choice with a combination of hard and soft material in single case. The inside of the case that which comes in contact of the phone's body is rubber (silicon) and outside has a good hard fibre. Might be bit expensive but great value for money and protection of phone.

Last time I ordered I just ordered it online from the US - delivery was pretty quick...
http://www.otterbox.com/Samsung-Gal..._color=20&start=1&cgid=samsung-galaxy-s-cases
This one is 2 bucks, and kicks ass, I ordered it for building a custom car mount but it would make a great hardcase as well, adds very little to the size of the phone.

I found a dealer in germany but they start to deliver the boxes at the end of january. I mean the END OF JANUARY... I'm not sure I can wait that long...
I use the Case-mate Tough case.
Works great, I feel my phone is pretty safe from being in my pocket and possible drops.
It comes with a soft rubber layer case and a hard case for protection.
My only issue is that to me I can be pressing the power button on the side, without realising it sometimes.
Overall I highly reccomend it.

I ordered mine two days ago and go it two minutes ago. It fits perfect and gives a secure feeling right from the start. And it looks cool. Would you like to know more?
It's a compromise.
The thicker the case, the more cumbersome it becomes, but the better protection it offers.
The thinner the case, the slimmer and lighter the phone is, but the less protection it offers.
I keep my phone in my jeans pocket, so a thick case like otterbox is completely unacceptable to me. Currently I am using a SGS leather flip open case. http://www.exportprive.com/advanced...escription=0&keywords=galaxy S&sort=2a&page=4

Yeah, amazing protection on mine as well. only drawback is that the screen protector does not protect the entire screen and misses a lot of the buttons on the bottom.
I use a screen protector by 3M. The Vikuiti DQC-160.
All i see are pouch and folio type of cases, hoping more choices come out soon.
What i miss is the black $10 TPU case w/ kickstand i got on eBay for my original Tab - i wish there was an identical one for the 7 Plus. It won't fit the 7 Plus as the 7 Plus is slightly longer. Thinner is nice w/ the 7 Plus, but I feel like i can more easily lose grip of it compared to the original Tab.
I have a few kickstand accessories i got for my old Tab, but they're not as convenient as a little fold out stand that comes out of the case it's always in.
For now, i took some carbon fiber vinyl covering i had left over from covering my laptop and covered the back of the Tab, then i shaved the back off an extra case i had for my Droid RAZR and stuck it to the back of the 7 Plus w/ double-sided automotive tape. So now i have a kickstand that folds out of the back of it.
The RooCase people inform me that they will have a pretty nice case out for our GTab 7+ around the end of December exactly modeled after the A100 case. Had one for the A100 and it was quite nice. Functional and well-built. The Executive Portfolio model here. Leather is good and the screen frame is securely velcroed. Got it for about $35. I plan on snagging one.

Mine just arrived. I put it on and it's setting. If I have time tonight, I'll post more thoughts and pics.
Got my poetic case last night. i'll put pics up today after i get off of work, but i like it. It has cutouts for nearly everything. The only piece that does not have a cutout is the IR transmitter which is easy enough to fix. It has a nice magnetic closure, and the flap to hold the tablet in has velcro which my similar case for the transformer did not have. All cutouts line up reasonably well, the front microphone and camera are not perfectly centered, but that can be attributed to how far i shoved the tab into the case.
Overall i rate it 8/10, its going to be the case I use for the foreseeable forture, the price is great, and the shipping was fast.
(will add pics later today)

Yeah my issue with Skinomi was resolved by their manager. Anyway, the carbon fiber skin looks great and the screen protector is smooth. There's a little bit of protruding skin on all 4 corners because they only designed two pieces for the sides that go from top center to bottom center (left and right pieces). It's not a big deal actually but the pointed corners poke my skin sometimes.

Also VERY interested in T-Mobile's Incipio folio case. I have looked at the limited number of cases currently available and they all look pretty bulky. Especially since one of the main features of the Galaxy 7 Plus is how incredibly thin it is. The Incipio case looks pretty thin and form-factor (from what I can tell.
Anyone have experience or seen this case in person??? I have called a number of T-Mobile store here in NYC and none carry the case (most don't even have the Galaxy 7 Plus at all).

I have been searching for cases for days, and i got my + relatively early. Just so you guys know, many of the folio cases for the original Gtab will fit the +. However cutouts will be incorrect for headphone jack, IR, and camera a bit offcenter. I hate folio cases and just want a plastic/gel snap on for the back w kickstand.
I purchased the T-Mobile Incipio case and it fits great. It was a little pricey at $50.00 but there werent many options. They were having a "buy two accessories get the third one free" promotion so I also bought the screen protector and an extra charging cable.

Any chance you could post a few pictures of your tab in the case? None of the T-Mobile stores in my area have it, so I need to get it online. I'd really like at least a semi-decent look at what I'm getting before I pull the trigger and purchase one.
I think its a good fit. The sim card slot and sd card slot are covered but I rarely need access to them.

Do you have a link for that one? Can't find it on incipio's site.
In other news, roocase now has some 7.0 Plus cases: http://www.roocase.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-7e0-Plus/cat-l/c103881.html
I purchased the Moko case on Amazon that's 5.99 (free shipping for $25+ orders or amazon prime). My first impression was that it was rather cheaply made. Then again, you're paying 6 bucks for a case. I don't expect it to last long either- the corners are starting to show signs of wear and tear after only a weekend in my messenger bag (see pic below).
I bought the white one as you can see, but in reality, it comes as a very dull white color, almost grayish. The feel of the case isn't very sturdy. Since it is "white" it is prone to getting dirty pretty quickly, as it already has picked up some other colors from sitting inside my messenger bag.
I really like that there's a band for you to slip your hand in while reading. This is especially useful if you're on the train and you have your hand slipped through the strap (no one can take it from you easily and it won't fall out of your hands should you fall asleep). I also like that there's a second strap in the back, to hold the cover to the back so you don't have the cover flapping around.
The insides is a felt like material, with 2 memory card slots (I don't understand why they're there because the Note 8.0 doesn't read SD cards). It also has a pen loop as well. As someone mentioned in another thread, it appears that the bulk of Amazon's covers have an added loop on it. The loop is on the back so it's not intrusive. I do intend on getting the S-Pen w/ the eraser on top, so perhaps that pen loop would come in handy. The case like every other, also doubles as a stand for reading or for typing.
What really bothers me about this case is the insides where the top and the bottom doesn 't taper to the tablet and kind of bulges out a bit- I'm referring to the picture below w/ the Samsung logo- you can see that the case sticks out and not flat against the tablet. It's not a functional flaw but more of a cosmetic one.
All in all, it's only an average case- I'd give it a 6/10, any questions or if anyone needs more pictures, let me know.
Also I forgot to mention- this case does support the sleep/wake functionality.
I also bought a KDL Case and it's currently shipping. Once I receive the KDL case, I'll write another review. The KDL case can be found here:

The KDL case looks nice from the pics. I wonder about what the texture feels like, and also about the strength of the stitching where the cover attaches to the back. It looks from the pictures like the cover might get stressed a bit at that point when you fold the cover tightly around the back (and/or when creating the triangle fold for the tablet stand functionality), but it is hard to tell for sure from just images. I also like that the same triangle fold is used for both tablet angles as that seems like it might be more secure/sturdy than the Samsung Book Cover seems to be (especially for the mostly upright angle, according to some reports).

It is nice to see that there might be some decent options to the official Samsung Book Cover as $50 feels a bit exorbitant.

Well that sucks.... but thanks for the update! I look forward to the review nonetheless!
I got this case as a temporary solution to protect my device (since Samsung products are fragile) and honestly I can't complain! $5.99 is a great price and the case does everything it should. I knew getting a white one would get dirty far more frequently so I went with black instead. I haven't seen any noticeable signs of wear yet but the flaps which hold the device in place are a little raised.
I'll probably wait for a more premium case to be released before I purchase another, but for now this one works great. I only wish it had some way to stand it up in portrait.

The insides is a felt like material, with 2 memory card slots (I don't understand why they're there because the Note 8.0 doesn't read SD cards). http://www.ebay.com/sch/items/?_nkw...udhi=&_sop=12&_fpos=&_fspt=1&_sadis=&LH_CAds=

The card slots are too small for an SD card. They will hold the micro-SD card which the Note 8 does read.
The slots might hold sim cards for the non-US Note (I'm in US so my Note doesn't take a sim card).
Ive had the moko folio case for a couple weeks now. Will give my thoughts on it (hopefully later today) with pix.

Yikes! That's not good!
MOKO Case
I bought a different MOKO case only paid $12 for three different cases. Super Cheap, I wouldn't expect the quality to be top notch on any case that costs, as cheap as, these cases. Any way for the price though, I can buy several if the craftsmanship goes bad. Anyway here are the pics of the MOKO case I like the best.

lol I actually just posted up a review about that case!
I’ve been looking around for a simple rubber bumper to go around the phone (not a case, just a bumper).
Has anyone seen anything like this?

I could only find a hard plastic bumper (without back plain or clear back protection) on taobao.
Seems like no big brand make this kind nor eBay sellers have it.
Will post a picture eventually once I receive it.

Just found this:
http://www2.elecom.co.jp.e.gj.hp.transer.com/products/PM-SOZ5HVBBK.html
They are for sale on eBay for $54 shipped, which is ridiculous, but I bought one anyway because I am desperate for this type of case and the devilcase bumper pretty much wiped out my reception. Will post pictures when it arrives, est. 1-2 weeks for delivery
Thanks... keep us posted ?

Definitely would love to see those photos and hear how the case is! I saw it on eBay the other day for $45, saw that two of them had been sold already, and wondered who would have paid that much, lol! But if the case is really good and attractive and holds up, then it's probably worth it. I really really like the look of them.
I don't want to make you worry in advance, but I did do some research on it when I saw it, and the reviews on Amazon Japan were less than stellar. But a flag for me was what I read from the machine translation in one review: "Because it is soft in the hybrid material, the gap will get tired and pulled to the left and right up and down." Hard to be completely certain, but it sounds an awful lot like it's an issue that I had with a very similar bumper case for my Z2 (actually have several of them), where it will pop off of the left side of the phone because the rubber part is soft or whatever, so the thing juts off the phone and you have to push it back, but eventually it loosens up more and just won't hold at all anymore. But those cases cost about $3 on Aliexpress or DX.com, so it's sort of acceptable. For $54, I'd expect an absolutely flawless case.
Other than that problem, though, those are my favorite or second-favorite cases for my Z2, hands down, so I really hope the ones for the Z5 do not all suffer that issue.

I've had a lot of these bumper type cases, and they pretty much all suffer that issue to some extent. I've never had one start falling off the device, but they all stretch out over time. PayPal will let me dispute the transaction for an extremely long time after purchase, so if it indeed does start falling off shortly after purchase then I will take it up with them. Hopefully they have fixed any flaws like that by this point, because they certainly are charging me as such.
The materials are obviously not worth anywhere near $45, but this is the ONLY decent looming bumper I have seen so far and tbh it does look really nice. Here's to hoping I won't be thinking about the cost too much when it comes in!
Case should arrive this week, will post pictures.
Ok so the case arrived recently, I've had it for a few days now. The summary: not worth $50 (obviously) but it looks good and the fingerprint reader is extremely easy to access. I will be keeping it so long as it doesn't start to fall off my phone or anything.
I can see where the case might pull away from the phone a little by the headset jack, so I am trying to be careful not to put much pressure on that area of the case when I take it off/put it on. Otherwise I don't think the case will "stretch" out any, as it is fairly firm and doesn't have much give. Construction quality is mostly good, although you can feel a few rough plastic edges in a few places. Not enough to bother me, but enough to notice.
Overall it's a good case, worth $20-25. My green z5 looks absolutely beautiful with the class back protector and this case, this is pretty much exactly the type of case I've been looking for.

My Z5 arrives tomorrow and I have bought a case like the one above. Its a Spigen case and seems very well made.

The Spigen case is nice, as well as the very similar Ringke Fusion, but neither of these are what OP was asking for. He's specifically looking for a bumper that isn't a full case (i.e.: no plastic or anything on the back).
As for bumpers, I think there may be potential in modifying the Orzly Fusion case. It's similar to the Spigen and Ringke, but a little different—specifically for this purpose, the bumper and the back panel are more distinctly separate from each other than on the other cases. I bought one last week and I think the plastic back could be removed to leave only the bumper as a usable case. I'm just uncertain whether or not the bumper alone will hold the phone in place. The case is a tiny bit loose as it is (doesn't look loose, but you can feel the phone move a tiny bit when you move it around quickly). The plastic back supposedly scratches up easily, according to reviews, and I had the Orzly Fusion for my OPO, which did get scratched up extremely easily, but I have not experienced the same with their Z5 case, surprisingly. I had originally planned on modding the case myself once the back was ugly, but since it hasn't gotten scratched up as easily as I was expecting it to, I haven't decided to defile the case yet. I will report back on it if I do, but I figured I'd mention it as a possibility for a less expensive bumper case (it costs $11.99 on Amazon US) if anyone else wants to try it first. The Elecom bumper that redandblack posted definitely looks much nicer than this case, but it may be worth a shot for someone who can't or doesn't want to spend that much or someone who wants a thinner bumper (the Orzly case is quite minimal as far as bulk).
Not rubber, but there are lots of aluminium bumpers for the Z5 on Amazon now. Most of them are pretty cheap too. I had one before (can't remember which phone though) and it felt pretty nice, and was lined with foam for protection. Definitely a good option if you want something stylish, minimal, and reasonably protective.

I have the Orzly case and the back definitely does scratch but a simple mod with contact paper lets the case resist scratches and still look good. It's funny because the case is hard to put on but I definitely feel a little wiggle when you move the phone just right. I'm also interested in a simple rubber bumper since I thought the aluminum ones would scratch up the phone.

Add the clear contact paper as I mentioned and it should look like new with a frost effect.
Is there really no aluminum case which doesn't worsen the reception? I don't need aluminum, but there seems to be only one plastic bumper posted here, from elecom, which price is ridiculous.

I would also love a rubber bumper. I just got my aluminum bumper and I'll keep an eye out for that drop in reception you mentioned. I like the minimalism of the aluminum case but I'm curious if anyone has encountered issues with the case damaging the phone with scratches or anything.

I was looking for other cases for the Essential phone and came across the incipio.com website. they are currently listing two different cases. The Dualpro is a case I had not seen before it is a Dual Layer Protective case and available in three different colors.

I have the tudia case from Amazon and I'm looking for a better case. It is very thing and really lose on the sides. I'm want the incepio case but they don't have it in Amazon right now. Also the tudia case peels up my wet install screen protector, but I'm thinking any case will sure to the super slim bezels.

I just bought the dualpro from case.com...they have 10 percent off with code CASES
Mine says it will be here Friday, the wait is killing me. I have been handling this thing with kid gloves, leaving it in my pocket more than usual.
I plan on posting pics and providing my opinion of it. Unfortunately I do not use a screen protector, so I won't be able to speak on compatibility with one. I am going to put the round flat magnet from my vent phone holder (the round one with rubber feet) in between the two layers. I have had success with other cases and if it can confidently hold my Moto X Pure in place the Essential should not be an issue.
It seems like the case (DualPro) gets mostly favorable reviews in Amazon, I noticed that the Pixel price is around $10, where the Pixel 2 is still $29 (on Amazon). I am assuming that over time this case will get cheaper.
I have a similar case on my iPhone 6s made by iLuvvitt and it is rock solid and cost me less than $4 on sale.
Anyone else eyeing the Tudia Glost case that is being released on December 8th? I may pick up the Ocean Green one. It will be $19.90 on Amazon, $16.91 with 15% off coupon code on the page.

Im thinking that case companies are waiting to see if the phone is successful or not. With only 5k phones reported sold right off the start, Im sure case companies do not want to put time and money into an unsuccessful product. Now that you can get the phone from sprint for about 150 bucks im sure the sales and need for cases has gone way up. It seems that all the cases are back ordered.
My case is still not here, USPS says it was delayed. Hopefully it will be here today or Monday. Looks like everyone is out of stock, so at least I have one coming. Hindsight I should have ordered a backup (like the TAMM) on Amazon as soon as I ordered the phone. Live and learn.

Grrr...out of stock on Incipio's site now
I was thinking of getting one and removing the back to have a bumper only (not sure why nobody has made a bumper case yet) currently have their regular one coming in a few days but I hate the look.
Like you I've been going naked for almost a week and handling it like a small child lol
Finally got my case! Feels premium for sure, but so does my $4 iLuvvitt dual layer case on my iPhone 6s.
Seriously though, it is a nice case. I feel like the inside TPU layer could be carried separately if desired. No issues using the round magnet that came with my vent phone mount between the layers. The rubbery finish on the outside layer shows oils from your hands when you handle it, but every case I have had like this is the same and can be wiped off easily with a microfiber towel.
It definitely adds bulk to the phone, but if you buy a dual layer case you should expect that. Rubber covering the buttons require a little bit of effort to press, cutouts are precise, and the OEM charger plugs in no problem. Having a raised case on the phone helps locate the fingerprint sensor easily.
I recommend it and would buy it again. I can't figure out how to post pics, Tapatalk won't allow me to attach anything.
Did you give the app permission?
