I saw that cool video back before the the US version of the S3 was released (Here). I was excited for native ps3 controller support, but when I tested it out it did not work. I can pair via BT but I was looking for a more native solution. Is there any way that driver modules from the international version can be loaded onto the verizon version?
Thanks
There's this.

Looking for some sort of a wireless wii nunchuck that will work with my g2 phone. Honestly, all I have is a bunch of questions that people is a ps3 and an android phone would know. The app u use is called sixaxis.
1. Is it 100% necessary to root my g2 for the ps3 controllers to work?
2. Is it possible to sync just the ps3 move navigation controller alone to the system?
Again the controller is called "ps3 move navigation controller"
Thanks for anything anyone would be able to help me with.

As of now, ps3 move navigation controller is no supported with sixaxis app. Hopefully it would be soon. Since I have a keyboard phone I can use all my keyboard buttons in one hand while holding the phone and in my other hand use the ps3 navigation analog stick.
I've been doing this with the wiimote sometimes but it doesn't have full analog touch capabilities.
Just a heads up. That wand doesn't use sixaxis technology it is an infrared light detected by the PlayStation eye. There is no way for the move sand to work with an android phone unless you can get the android to somehow connect to the PlayStation eye.

Sixaxis supports PS3 to Droid but you need to see if your paqrticulat deice is compatible with this merge so get this app first SixAxis Compatibility Checker If you do not get a "Error: Missing required protocol" message after youve started the app, then you are good to go. The next step is to
get the SixAxis Controller Kit there are ways of getting this free but anyway after that get on your computer the rest is from the PC end! I can elaborate more on this if you want to know more
My Huawei Ascend M860 works perfectly with this method!

maybe someone needs.
"ps3 move navigation controller" can be used over usb or wirelessly with sixaxis controller app over bluetooth.
i can use it with my n7 2012.
Did anyone try this on their rooted SR yet. I'm new to rooting so I would like to get more info before I root it. It would be nice to know if the Bluetooth controller is compatible on our device.
Thanks

The other option is using phonejoy analog controllers.
Does anyone know if the PS3 controller work on our phone through Bluetooth.

Its not working for me, but this is my first Android phone so its very possible the issue is user error.
no it doesnt work.. the dev for sixaxis got it working for the galaxy s II but i guess the bluetooth stack in the skyrocket is different from the standard galaxy SII so it doesnt work for us.
Yep, I couldn't get it to work on mine either. Oh would be nice to have that controller though.. Uggh..
The ps3 controllers now works. The phonejoy controllers also works.

can anyone else confirm it works now?
I can confirm that it works with the SR
Cya
I can confirm its working but I was able to use it with cm7 rom I tried stock with rooth and skyrockeer 2.0(I think think that's how it was spell) and didn't work the reason don't know I can post a YouTube video if youmwant
I got my OTG USB cable and mice etc. seem to work fine. Tried the wired xbox controller and while it is detected via the BT joystick test app, it wont work in any apps.
Tried another generic USB gamepad today and nothing, not even recognised in the test app.
So has anyone managed to get a gamepad working natively? The main reason I ask if that my mum likes to play the odd old arcade game (cool huh) and she would need gamepad support and wont bother if she has to pay out and configure another it all via another app!
thanks
guess not
I have gotten a wireless sixaxis controller to work via bluetooth, but my wired xbox controller will not work.

yeah if I could get one cheap then it would be great, my mum wont be up for spending a fortune
I have the same problem here. In my case I have generic USB controller and totally the tab and BT joystick test app cannot detect it. Did you manage to make it work?
For those who were able to get the game controller to work on tablet, which ROMS have the sixaxis program installed?

u can usea wiimote and a classic controller they are cheap
I have seen a lot on the internet about getting PS3 and Xbox controllers to work on android phones and tablets but I haven't had any success in getting it to work. I connect my controller up to my OTG cable and then connect it to my GT-P5110 and when I do the controller lights up and continues flashing, but it doesn't work on any of the games that support it and doesn't seem to send any input to the tab. I also own a GT-I9100 and have tried it on that too with no success. Any information would be very helpful thanks.
NOTE: The OTG cables on my tab and my phone are both working fine for other things such as mouse and keyboard and usb flash memory. Also my phone is on stock 4.0.4 Rom and rooted with cf-root using the siyah kernel and the tab is also on stock 4.0.4 Rom and rooted but with stock kernel.

Not quite what I was looking for. I want an Xbox controller to control games and emulators on my tablet or phone. Excellent app though will have to try it out with my 360 later.

Me too... I have used my XBOX Controller on my Prime but not working on GTab2 7.0.
the apps I've seen are for connecting controllers thru BLUETOOTH, i don't know if it can be done WIRED.
does not work natively, need to use USB/BT Joycenter
hey guys, has anyone found a rom or a way to connect bluetooth controller to this device? because for me, sixaxis and wiimote didnt work (running ics btw)

from my experiences I was never able to get it running on ICS only JB
I wish there was a way for it to work but I think you would have to contact the developer for that
CyanogenMod have better bluetooth utility add-in, and yet, one more problem - some Sixaxis controller requires USB-OTG to get bluetooth ID. (my paid-for version requires USB-OTG or it can use bluetooth ID pulled from PC with Windows utility).

I have an ipega Bluetooth controller and pairs fine out of the box with my 3D optimus Cube without root.

That depends on type of joystick drivers. Some doesn't require root, other do strictly require root (due to nature of Bluetooth IO).
