HI, i'm having serious problem with my sensation . i'm running an android revolution hd gingerbread, using original radio. After flashing some roms , i realized my wifi dont work anymore. Thought it was beacuse of the new rom so re flashed last rom , but my wifi still dont work. Sometimes they turn on trying to search a network but after few sec the turn off again. What shall i do?
silly question but i had the same problem with a new router and it was a mistype of the password (0-o,i-1,i-I) and so on caps can be a problem

Not a silly quest at all. I can NOT find any network , it says: unable to look for networks and then wifi turn off! this morning they finaly worked but just for few minutes then no more

I had this same problem , but it has been solved by itself. I couldnt turn on my wifi, then one day it started to work. But when I went to Slovakia ( skiing trip ) one week ago, it stopped working again. After few wipes and re-installs it shew earlier saved networks and one new which i couldnt connect to. I had a lot of ROM's and no one works. And I have some problems with camera focus too. After installing some software i cant get focus on camera.

this is usually due to the wifi module in the kernel not working as it should so my suggestion would be to flash a different kernel (bricked or faux) and it should work again

I have changed kernel and my wifi is not working anyway . I'm trying to flash radio but it says "no device found" .

I have tried ARHD, Insert Coin, again, but it doesn't work. I can't even start MIUI, it's still showing "Sensation >> MIUI logo >> Sensation >> MIUI logo >>..."
When i'm turning on wifi on device it show's "turning on WiFi network" and nothing happens, even if its turned off, it sometimes shows "turning on WiFi network" ...
Write if u have flashed radio and it works.

just flashed the radio, nothing happend!
God damn ! Can anybody help ? Can I get my phone back to the deflaut soft and get back everything and install new ROMs again ? I had SE C902 and if i broke sth i flashed all software again and all was working ...
By any chance have you installed an Ice Cream Sandwich ROM at ANY point on your phone?

Same thing happened to me on elegancia salvation 3.6 ....I unplugged my router for 5 minutes and BAM..WiFi

hi guys i was hoping you could help me out, the thing is that my wifi isnt working with all ics roms that i flash, when i turn on the wifi it says "turning on wifi" and stays like that, then when i press the back button and re-enter the wifi menu there nothing, no scannig, no nothing ...... although wifi works in cm7 but i prefer ICS roms better than cm7 roms. itried changin kernels and all but still nothing.
please help me out

Im using hephappy's tinystream, but u know ive tested many ics roms, including AOKP; but the wifi still isn't working....

I have the same problem. Tried various ROMs from various people (CM [arjen, hehappy], MIUI, AOKP), also various kernels... no results.

Although the problem still exists, but now, at least I know that there are some other persons on the planet who suffer just like me! It also indicates that it is a systematic problem and there may be a solution. We have to keep trying.
I dont have any problems on wifi. I dont use wifi much since I rely on data connection. But phone/ROM scans and displays network without any problems.
Currently Im using AOKP milestone build #6 and its stable apart from some minor bugs.
See if you can use wifi tethering....

I also have exact same problem - NO WIFI on Android 4.x.x. Problem is related to SIM card and Baseband issue. If you flash ROM with no SIM card, wifi works! If you install SIM card wifi no longer works.
First discovered this when I upgraded from Froyo to LG 2.3.3 and the wireless would not work then, and I had to change network selection from Automatic, and select my service provider manually to get WiFi to work. I think the problem with 4.x.x is similar, but it gives an error trying to manually select the service provider, so wifi does not work.
I have 20G baseband (latest I think).
Does anyone else have error when selecting service provider manually?
CyanogenMod-7 nightly builds wifi works perfectly. Just fails with any 4.x.x versions.

So, you've successfully installed Real ICS r6. Wifi will not work, you can try Kernel Panic and then flash r6. Do remember, it has lot other bminor bugs like this. Go for r5.2 for stable version, or try Hasa's MIUI ROM. Its up to you.

There are couple of fixes, I did try them as I had extended stock kernel, it didn't work. You can try some of the wifi fix mentioned in the r6 thread.

Hi Friend,
Wifi will work in ICSr6. Initially after installing ICSr6 am little bit nervous when i saw the wifi is not working. So that i post it here for help. Now i get a solution from my own experience.
Please Reboot you phone twice after installing the ICSr6. Your WIFI will work.

I am also facing the same issue when i installed the ICSr6. Use the wave like lock screen day before yesterday i installed ICSr6 in my phone over all i very much happy to the new look.
But there is one issue i am facing that means while playing music in walkman if we lock or unlock the scree there some jerking occurs in that. this is the only one issue am facing.
Wifi will work you plz reboot your phone twice after installing it. It will work.
I think you dont get that Blue Hexagon background. While installing you check that STOCK theam option thats why you dont get that.
If you want that Blue hexagon background try reinstalling the ROM and do any thing in the option that STOCK Theam option. After installing ROM Then you get that blue Hexagon Bacground in your Phone.

Yesterday sudelly my wifi and BT isn't working, Wifi giving me "error" when I am tring to enable it.
Today I flashed a new kernel with a new ROM and it is still not working.
I tried to use Wifix manager and it didn't help either.
Anyone one got any idea what to do?
I am currently running CM10 by Kang rom and his kernel.
I'm not to familiar with that rom but have you tried to do a clean install with full wipe? I'm running jelly bean too but different rom and was having Wi-Fi problems it just would not connect. So I did a full wipe and another clean install then it started working perfectly for me. It' couldn't hurt to try. Hope this helps. It worked for me. Best wishes

I wiped everything from the recovery and installed new rom.
Did you have the problem with the masseage "error" on wifi?
Mine kept saying "connecting" but never connected. It just kept connecting over and over. But would not actually connect. After I wiped again and did another install it connected without a problem however I never got a message actually saying "error".by chance have you tired another rom to see if it connects ? Could be rom related? Maybe try another rom and see if the error continues to appear?
Or is this happening on all roms you install?

First I tried to reinstall my old rom and still didn't worked but now I tested with different rom and still having that issue.
I hope its not an hardware problem.
Have you tried wifix? I believe you can download from here it might help.

Im having same problem! But in JB roms my BT IS working so I think its not hardware problem coz BT and WIFI are on same chip. And more and more ppl are getting this problem and looks like no one can help us. So pls DEVS help us somehow .

Could be a hardware issue. It's happening on my phone too, and i've flashed several roms.
This occured right after I dropped by my phone, and since it's both BT and Wifi, which the antenna's are located in the same relative area on the phone - i'd assume that's the issue.
Wi-Fi won't turn on.

I have ViperS 3.0.2 on HTC Sensation XE. (S-ON)
When I go to settings, and tick on the Wi-Fi, phone tries to turn it on, then it just says ''Error'' after some time.
Wi-Fi worked perfectly earlier today, but maybe the update from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 caused some problems.
(I updated today, then, turned Wi-Fi off after the update. Now the Wi-fi won't turn on)
The only mod I have installed on phone is the White keyboard. And then I have done some tweaks using Venom tweaks.
It could be hardware problem too, I guess..
Any help/ideas?
