are you talking about .26?
on which version were you before update, .21 or .22?
are you on US, JN, CN, WW?

No, I just checked the Asus Service site and 9.4.5.22 is still the only update available. 9.4.5.26 is not showing up on their service site.

Was able to download it. Try this link:
http://support.asus.com/download/download_item_mkt.aspx?slanguage=en-us&model=ASUS+Transformer+Pad+Infinity+TF700T

I downloaded the US file successfully from that link, thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot! Downloaded the file and will now proceed with the installation

By the way, if you forget to use rootkeeper before the update like I did, debugfs method still works on .26 to re-root the tablet.

How is the manual update Done?

Just unzip the file you downloaded from ASUS and put the file into the root folder of the Infinity. After rebooting, it will say that it found an update. Just click on it and you are good to go

This might be a stupid question, but should u update to the .22 version, then .26, or can we just bypass and update to .26?

You can bypass and go directly to .26 from 21, that's what I did

Nevermind I found it out by myself. Just copied the downloade zip to sd and rebooted

My replacement TF700 came Monday and I can't get it to update. I have download the file unzipped and placed in the root of both the internal drive and SD card. Restarted, checked for updates but nothing. I kept the same folder structure of the original. I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas? Thanks

Have you taken the correct version (ww, us,jn. ..)?

Hold on now... folder structure?
The ZIP you're supposed to unzip only contains another ZIP, so what you should put on the internal drive or on a microSD is a single ZIP file.

I'm in the same boat as you. I received my exchange TF700 yesterday and assumed ASUS was rolling out an automatic update to this firmware that ends in .26 that I keep seeing so many threads about.
No automatic updates, checking for updates says "there are no update available for your device currently."
I thought this was a major update, to fix I/O flaws from the readings. Are not all TF700s not affected by this I/O flaw I wonder?
I'm sure there's more like me who will be in this boat as more Prime owners swap out their device for Infinitys through Best Buy.

That did it. I was unzipped both. After I left the second zip file alone and placed it in the SD it worked. Thanks very much!!!

Pretty easy to manually update via SD card. I updated to .26 last night. Just make sure your card is formatted as FAT32. My exFAT card failed. I've had fewer hangs.

can you manually update without a micro sd card? like where can you put the zip file so it can recognize the file?
also what's FOTA? is it Fast OTA?

The zip file you need is inside the zip file you download ...... download the zip file from the webpage into your download directory. Tap it and unzip it. Now you'll have two zip files with different names (It will probably unzip the file into it's own directory inside the download directory...the name of which will be the same as the name of the original zip file) .....move the new zip file into the /sdcard/ directory ....which is the main (root?) directory of your infinity. Shut down, restart ..... on restart, in the lower right, you should see a small triangle icon with a "!" inside of it. Tap that and it should tell you it's found a firmware update file, then ask if you want to update .....so then update, and you should be done after another reboot (automatic).

I think I'm updating the tablet? I'm doing it OTA when I clicked check updates on the About Tablet area?
Are you running a stock system? Rooted? Any mods, kernels, custom recovery, buttons, languages, layouts, etc?
The update checks a lot of pieces before it will update the files, and if anything is different, it will fail.

I'm running stock but I do have it rooted. Other than that, nothing else. I haven't even flashed recovery.
How did you root? Which method? Homebrew?
The stock recovery might spit out a log file that will show you what is failing the update.
It's in /cache/recovery/log or maybe last_log.
You can use adb to pull it or copy it to your sdcard with a file explorer.

I used the root toolkit v7 that can be foundon the development section. I'm thinking that if I unroot the transformer, the update could work?
Or maybe if I just downloathe firmware from the asus website, will it work better? Though I don't know how to install it.
You have a few options:
1) find the recovery log and figure out what is causing the flash to fail. Replace the deviant file using your superuser powers.
Or
2) download the 8.6.5.9 stock firmware from ASUS and flash that, then perhaps the OTA will work.
Or
3) get freaky with the command line and cook up some insecure blobs or images to flash
I think option 2 would be easiest, although I don't know if it will wipe your data. The download is a zip file, which you unzip and copy your external sdcard. I think is should be a folder named ASUS/Update/some other zip. The whole folder structure gets copied to the external sdcard so that the ASUS folder is at the root of the ext sdcard. When you insert it into the slot, your TF will recogize it and ask you if you want to flash it.
At some point ASUS will probably release the full stock rom on their website and you can flash that to update to the latest and greatest.

Owww. so 8659 is not the latest but the one on OTA? Will I lose root if flash that? and does root work on the newest update?
Yes, you will lose root and any custom recovery if you flash the stock image from the ASUS website. I think the tools in the dev section will still root as long as you have SBK v1 I.e., nvflash works on your tf. You rooted once, so it should be fine.

Yeah, update to the latest firmware. It should work after that.
Try OTA Root Keeper (it might save your root so you don't have to root again).
IF not just update, run ViperMod again and install RecoveryInstaller
I can not flash the update. I put the Update on the SD, the system dedects also the update but after the restart the update breaks and the system restart again.

Did you extract the file you download to get to the zip file inside? You also have to rename that extracted file. I cant recall exactly what it need to be rename to but I'll check soon as i get near a PC

"EP101_SDUPDATE.zip" i think this is what you have to rename the file
edit: Tips from Baseballfanz For those not able to get it working, a few things to check.
1-Make sure you actually extract the WW_epad-user-8.6.x.x.zip within the zip. Inside the file you download is an Asus folder, inside that is an Update folder, inside that is the WW_epad-user-8.6.x.x.zip file you'll be working with.
2-When renaming, if your PC is set to "hide known extension", you'll not see the .zip so if you type in .zip you'll get filename.zip.zip The file manager on the TF should show you the extension
3-Make sure it's on the root of the sd card and not within any folder.
4-Check spelling of files WW_epad-user-8.6.x.x.zip EP101_SDUPATED.zip
5-Micro sd card is in FAT32 format. Try a different card or format again (after saving your stuffs)
6-File manager on the TF sdcard is internal and Removable/MicroSD is the external sd card.

Possibly bricked B70 tyring to update!? HELP!

Hello, been around here just haven't posted yet. Anyways, I have a S/N: B70KAS420184 pad, on the .19 firmware, no rom, successfully rooted with razorclaw and clockwork running fine. I messed up flashing the ICS file and now I cant get anywhere. Entering recovery shows a status bar then instantly to the triangle with droid guy with exclamation point. It also will not get past the main eee pad screen and just hangs there. I tried nflash and when I run the download.bat (windows) the command prompt comes up, reads a few lines real fast then closes and the nvidia usb boot recovery disappears from the device manager list. Any help would be great please I've searched for everything. Tried this on two different computers, same result. Both running windows 7. Thanks, Josh.
Exact same problem here too. Tried putting stock firmware on SD card then hopefully it would install itself but to no avail.
Suggestions?

As far as I understand it with other devices, you can't flash a factory update.zip if you have custom recoveries (or at least shouldn't, because it would brick the device).
Is there any way to flash a recovery like others can do with nvflash?

If your B70 is one of the earlier batches with sbk1, you can use NVflash.
Mine is B70KAS1796**. NVflash works.

Unfortunatley Dreambox i have tried that but all i get is the triangle of doom. I think my recovery may be broken, and u have the later model tf101 (i think) so nvflash doesnt work for me. I install drivers for it then open download and it just flicks to a screen real quick then closes. Is that what is supposed to happen if you have the later model tf101?
thanks again.
Hmmm could be a problem with recovery but... could be a problem with the zip file.
As i am on a late model b70 as well i have been stuck a few times like that as well.
just to double check because these are the things that got me when i was stuck
did you unzip the downloaded file and copy the /asus/update/updatelauncher.... to the sd card
did you rename the file (update launcher) to EP101_SDUPDATE (this is case sensitive) and put it in the root of the SD card
Reboot to recovery volume and power down then when you see text in the top left corner press volume up?
anyone of these steps missed would cause the android with the triangle
Edit: If it boots to eee pad logo you should be able to save it. The only things that would give you the triangle would be the above and possibly wrong region code
Dude it worked, thanks heaps for that. Turns out i didnt unzip the file from the Asus website. I just assumed that was the ROM *facepalm*
Good job mate, i was nearly going to turf the tf101 and use that as an excuse to get the prime lol
No problem. Sorry about saving it tho...... Guess yer prime is gonna have to wait.

Yep that is the one. Sorry wrong file name. Copy the asus/update folder So copy (US_epad-user8.6.5.21.zip) that to the root directory and rename it to EP101_SDUPDATE reboot into recovery and you should be in back in honeycomb.
So on the microsd you should have
Asus/update/ US_epad-user8.6.5.21.zip
EP101_SDUPDATE.zip
Plus all your other files

I did this and when I boot into recovery (vol - & power them vol +) it shows the status bar like its going to install something for about 1 second then instantly to the triangle.
Did you make sure you unzipped the downloaded file.
Copied the ww.epad-user8.6.5.21 to root and renamed to EP101_SDUPDATE
These things can block you from proper recovery

I downloaded the zip file. Unzipped the file and I now have an ASUS folder within that is an update folder with the zip file I mentioned before. I copied the whole asus folder to the main root of a clean formated sd card. I copied the zip in the update folder and moved it to the main root of the card where the asus folder is. I renamed and ran recovery, same triangle...I am trying another sd card right now.
EDIT: With clean and new sd card it is now showing the status bar. Not sure how long this takes but good sign that it didn't go straight to the triangle! If this works I owe you a beer! Thanks so much
No problem
Have fun

Works for the B60 too. Thanks for this! I knew as soon as I reflashed .21 from .19 that I had killed my recovery. I tried EVERYTHING I could think of to get it back and just didn't work. Glad I found this because I hadn't even thought about putting the EP101_SDUPDATE on the SD card.
Cheers!

[HOW TO]Tired to wait the .26 with WW TF700 device?

Like many of us, i was disappointed to not have the OTA with my french WW .22 tablet.
Has Asus made it available here:
http://support.asus.com/Download.as...SUS+Transformer+Pad+Infinity+TF700T&p=20&s=16
-You just have to download the good .26 firmware for your device region, in my case WW.
-After that simply unzip the archive on the root of your microSD Card. (keep the name of the stock directory created)
-When it's done, unplug your microSD, and replug it.
-At this time you have in the notification bar an advertissement of new firmware and the ability of installing it.
-10-15 Minutes later it's done
It's my understanding that you don't even need to have a MicroSD Card for this, that steps are:
1. Verify your firmware version
In your tablet go to settings>about tablet>built number
There, check the first two letters, it's going to be WW, CN, TW, US, CN, etc
2. Using your tablet download the appropiate version (CN, US, WW, etc) from the link posted on the first post here.
3. The file will be downloaded to your "Downloads" folder.
Go to the folder, click the file, choose to unzip. That will add/extract another file to the folder that will also be a .zip file
4. That new zip file you will copy (using any File Manager, the tablet comes with an Asus File Manager) to the "/sdcard" folder in your tablet.
5. Click to install and it should take about 15 minutes doing so.
I have gone the microSD card route when .22 came out. (Didn't have the patience to wait for my OTA to come through.) Would be nice to test the second option as well.
It gives me android laying down failed downloaded us version

@loudbliss : it is not possible to do the last two steps like you would because you can't unmout and remount the internal sdcard. the downloaded file, extracted, is not an APK, so it's easier to use a true microSD as you can eject it and put it back in the tablet. This action is forcing the update.
@Jdor : go to play market and download a zip manager like androzip
Ty a bunch
thx alot. got tired of w8ing for OTA so this solved my WW .22 problem , button pressed

Tried this earlier, the tablet will recognize the update and even prompt you to update. However when the tablet reboots, the bootloader will not find the update and will coldboot.
You HAVE to have a sd card to manually update if your OTA is not working.

I had the same and the reason was that I had a modified version of file build.prop (modified to have a different dpi value). And the OTA is checking wether or not you have a stock version of build.prop (and also of another file but don't remember which one) and if it founds that your tablet is not stock anymore at 100% then it will fail with the android/red triangle.
To resolve there are 2 ways :
- restore back the stock version of build.prop (and other file)
or
- do manual update (by downloading the .30 firmware from Asus support web site and putting on /sdcard and rebooting)
ps : that issue has already been discussed several times and you could find more detailed "how to" in other threads

PS. If you read my post, I have already restored the stock versions of the necessary files so this issue should not occur.
How to's didnt help because I have a 100% Original stock device.
If anyone still have trouble updating.
As d14b0ll0s said, use a root file browser and see bottom of the /cache/recovery/last_log file right after reset from failed update. If you have trouble opening up that file (empty) copy it to some folder on sdcard (Documents, etc.) and open that.
In my case, i forgot to rename CMClient back to .apk
I dunno if this will help but I have a stock 700. I wanted to reflash the 30 update as I was having problems with the OTA I got. I d/l from Asus the correct US version and unzipped it and copied the zip file I got from that to my root on the sdcard. All this was done on the PC. I got the same error as you all wheb I tried to perform the flash. Then I changed the name of that zip file to EP201_768_SDUPDAT.zip while it was on the PC and copied that to the sdcard again. Followed the alternative firmware update method (found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1755576) and it worked. It helped as most of the weird crap has stopped happening and now I have the normal crap happening like everyone else.
My Solution was to kill the Pad. Now I updated to JB. Works perferctly.
.26 & .30 always did the same, and i had to manually update from SD card. NOW, same thing with JB. Voodoo has also never worked. I have a locked, rooted, stock device. I think I'm gonna take it back to best buy since i have protection plan.
Does anyone have a dump of their system folder? I deleted loads of apps which is stopping me upgrading to JB

I'm pretty sure I haven't fiddled with this file, but according to the log below, it doesn't match the expected hash...
