I flashed this and it must flash a bad kernel or something. If you flash it and reboot you get the yellow triangle saying that there has been unauthorized software loaded and to take the phone to Verizon for help. I had to flash back to stock to fix it.

I found it through rom manager, although I did the maual override, I did not use rom manager to install cwm or to initiate the flash
I then did a search for the euroskank and found the rom, it is built by @DJN541

If I'm not mistaken, you need kexec to flash this.

Lmfao sounds so flippant. Sounds like happening to have an extra roll of toilet paper lying around.

If you have kexec setup, all you have to do is extract the boot.img from the zip. Then flash what's left first and when that finishes flashing, kexec flash the kernel.

Sorry guys...trying to figure out a way to get this built into a workable rom...When I do, I'll post a thread here...sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused

Glad to see Euroskank developing for S3... Loved your JB ROM on my GNex

Do not flash this as it tries to flash a boot.img which is detected by the locked bootloader...then your soft bricked and a odin session is in order. Its suppose to be getting kexec implemented so it will work on our device...stay tuned.

So I attempted to flash viper onto my HTC One S. And screwed something up apparently, I can't load into anything besides hboot. Phone just continually reboots when I try to run anything else. What can I do? Thanks.

Use the All-In-One Toolkit but it calls it a Kernel and after doing that reflash the rom and it should boot up fine.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it, I overlooked something so small yet screwed myself over. Thanks!
You shouldnt have to reinstall the rom after flashing the boot.img, as long as the boot.img is compatible with the rom.
Atleast, Ive always flashed the boot.img after the rom has been installed.

I'd like to piggyback on this. Could someone shoot me the recovery.img from the 12.15.15 FXZ? Or fromm the 4.22 build? My brain failed this morning and I accidentally installed the update. Now sitting in a lovely boot loop would like to flash the stock recovery and see if I can get moving.
I'm trying to download the FXZ right now, but seems like a lot of people are. Its taking forever and failing often

Understood. I'm saying that once today's update failed, I was not able to flash boot.img, recovery.img or pretty much anything else from the 4.2.2 update. I really need to get my hands on the 4.4 update to see if I can manually flash it.

Well, I'm pretty well hosed. I think the problem really started when I flashed recovery from pre 4.2.2. That appeared to work, rebooted and began to install KitKat, only to fail and now I'm totally hosed. Installing the 4.2.2 recovery fails. FXZ fails. GRRRRR
I'm also in the same boat. Can't flash any of the img from 4.2.2. Stuck on fastboot screen after failed 4.4 update. With no eta on a new fxz I might try and warranty this thing.

Flashing problems

OK guys let me tell you about my issue's
I'm using TWRP 2.7.1.0 (Tried 2.7.0.2 no difference) S-off, Unlocked, latest firmware from Santods files. The phone works fine with Sense ROMS but for the life of me I can't flash a GPE ROM. They fail every time. Santod tried to help me out the best he could by having me replace the Boot.img from the ROM I was flashing thinking that I was on a secure Boot image (And I may be but I replaced it and they still won't flash). Mr. Jaydee82 also modified a ROM for me to try out (although I'm not sure exactly what he did to it) and it wouldn't Flash properly either. When I try to flash these ROMs it will appear to flash properly and then they will go to the bootscreen and just sit there and churn. Depending on the ROM some will time out and power down the device and some will just sit there forever until I do a virtual battery pull. I'm freaking desperate to find out what is going on with this device and I don't feel right bugging Santod so I decided to post this in hope of more ideas about what could possibly be going on with my device. Any and all help greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

I used Firewater I'm able to Flash all of the Sense ROM's not sure if they are considered AOSP. Give me an example of one and I'll try it. I'm not 100% sure if I took the OTA update before I Rooted and S-offed/unlocked the device but I think I did. I Flashed Santods Nobootimg firmware via ADB to be sure I was on the latest firmware. I know my radios were up to date before doing this but I wasn't sure about the FW so I flashed it. Flashed fine, didn't need to flush again, flashed fine first time.

Yeah cm11 is what I'm currently using, it recently had a speakerphone issue but its been fixed since 7/30. The only AOSP ROMs that have incorporated the fix are cm11, liquidsmooth & aokp. Here is the section for all the aosp ROMs they are universal so means 1 zip for all HTC One M8 variants.

How do i flash radios on nexus 5

So ill try to make this short and sweet but i need help. since 4.4.4 i really noticed bad signal issues and with a speed test my ping is 160 making online gaming really bad. ( its the only connection i have where i live to play online before 4.4.4 it was fine ping was like 70ms)
So i figured out the to get the radios say from 4.4.2 i would download the rom from https://developers.google.com/androi...s/images?hl=de
extract the file and the radio file is inside right. now how do i flash it. using Android SDK is there a tutorial or video somewhere. And can i use the roms from that site on a canadian nexus 5 my 4.4.4 build number matches the one on the site so im guessing yes.

From start to finish, skip over what you've already done.
1. Unlock your bootloader.
2. Root.
3. Install custom recovery using fastboot,
Google TWRP Hammerhead and the site for the recovery image and instructions will show up.
4. Have the modems downloaded, search for the thread here in Nexus 5 forum.
5. Go to Install .zip in TWRP recovery and flash the respective modems.
Protip : look up how to make an EFS backup just in case you somehow manage to corrupt your IMEI.

You don't need to be rooted persay to flash a modem, just a custom recovery. It just makes things easier. If you're going to unlock for sure, rooting makes things easier even though you don't REQUIRE it.
Best of luck and let us know how it all goes.
Why not extract the radio from the Android image and flash it via fastboot? That doesn't require root, only the phone to be unlocked.

after firmware update + flash update ROM -> stuck in HBOOT

Edit: FIXED
I downloaded the stock rooted 4.4.4 ROM and pulled the stock kernel out of it. Flashed the stock boot.img in fastboot and ALL GOOD.
Problem = phone cannot boot into ROM, cannot boot into recovery. Only HBOOT.
Was on a 4.4.3 ROM.
Got Verizon's OTA toast message today regarding 4.4.4 update available.
Cancelled that.
Hit up XDA to get latest Verizon firmware.
Downloaded latest firmware, flashed it.
Fine.
Downloaded 4.4.4 ROM.
Checked MD5 sum.
Into recovery.
Made nandroid backup/
Flashed ROM.
No errors.
Reboot? PHONE WILL ONLY BOOT INTO HBOOT.
Tried these fixes:

You too
I think I read yesterday that you were on viper rom 2.5 and upgraded to 3.whatever. The viper thread in the vzw forum is asking people to wait for them to release the next update to include vzw files from this ota. I feel it's worth pointing out in case other people run into problems, sees this thread, and immediately start bugging them in their thread.
