I have installed the Team EOS JB ROM (running the latest nightly, 127, with 0726 gapps), and for the life of me cannot get Google Now to show me the weather in my current location, which also happens to be home. I've turned Google Now on and off, gone into the weather cards settings and toggled each setting on and off, made sure that my location history and web history are enabled and that GPS is turned on. The weather for my work location comes up every time if I enable that option, but it simply will not show me my home weather or my current location weather. In Google Maps and Latitude, it is showing my position correctly as being at home, but for some reason this is not translating to Google Now and the card will not come up. I can't figure this one out. Anyone have any suggestions or have experienced the same thing?

Hmm... for me, the first time I fired up GoogleNow, I just searched for weather. From then on it populates that card. What exactly are you telling it to search for?
If its any consolation, I can't get it to populate my "Next Meeting" card...

I have noticed that when i try and find my position with google maps. i have issues. However, its a million times better with nav. Am i having gps problems or what? any1 else thinking they have problems try the nav program.
I have issues with NAV. It seems to take FOREVER to get a fix on my position and i'm in a car with a sunroof and it's open (not that it should matter).
I got some hokey answer from HTC support saying to clear the Google Maps cache, turn off the phone, remove battery, and then put it all back together and turn it back on.
Oddly this seems to temporarily solve the problem but then it reoccurs. So it's not really the answer.
I had noticed the same thing. With mine I could get a quick fix going into navigation from.the car home but not going into maps or navigation directly. Have you downloaded the app gps stat? It has helped a lot with mine, now I get a quick lock no matter what
I've searched everywhere and still no answer. I've had the phone for about 5 days now and starting yesterday I've noticed that this widget doesnt give me a location anymore. It always says "Current Location". When I click on the widget for a quick second it will say my location but refresh again and say "Current Location".
I have Mobile Data turned on and GPS turned on.
I've rebooted my phone many times, removed the battery and all of that stuff.
My phone is still Stock, not rooted or anything.
Is there any fix for this, thanks in advance.
This always used to happen to me on the stock rom. Try going into manage applications and clearing data for weather and weather provider.
Go to setting in the weather app and set my current location to an actual city etc.

i have the same problem yet
i flashed the same rom again and after flashing i got no "current location"
so i makes a restore -> "current location" works
grr i hate this f*ching flashing, after every flash an other thing is not working
Mine never automatically updated, if i wanted to up date I would have to do it manually by clicking refresh...
try syncing you weather with google in the sync device settings, if no luck clear the data in the app.... if still no luck get a 3rd party weather app
Setting your weather to sync auto should fix. If manual sync is selected it obviously wont update your location

I'm wondering if anybody else is having similar problems.
Upgraded to the T-Mobile Nougat 7.0 OTA update. After that, I'm having constant "GPS signal not found" errors in Pokemon Go and my weather widget (1Weather) is having problems finding my location to update. Restarts don't do anything and this problem only happens periodically. Sometimes the apps work! They worked perfectly fine in Marshmallow.
Other GPS apps like Google Maps and GPS Status are working fine; pinpoints my location to within 20 feet. I've tried clearing and re-downloading AGPS data, un/re-installing the malfunctioning apps, clearing cache, data, revoking all permissions to re-enable them. None of that works.
go to Setting > Apps > select app you want > Permissions > disable GPS Permission
and reopen the app and check if it crashes or asking for permission again.
try this solution with restart and let me know if problem remains
Good Luck

:good:
It asks for permission. I grant it. I get, "GPS signal not found".
Update: Sometimes a toast popup comes up that says Google Play Services has stopped responding (crashed). When this crashes, it seems to fix the GPS issues. So I guess now I just have to wait for a proper update for Nougat and the S7...
I have this same issue (same setup as well). I haven't opened my weather app yet (rather just look at the sky ), but I do have constant issues with Pokemon GO. It will just sit there endlessly trying to get the GPS signal, but it doesn't have issues if I am moving.
I have found multiple reddit threads and Samsung support threads on the GPS issue with no luck.

I have been reading up on all of them today, as I normally have zero issues while sitting at my desk. I have toggled many options including optimize battery usage, location itself, clear cache, downloading GPS status and toolbox, and rebooting.
Right now the changes I have made from default are turn off the new app power saving monitoring (settings>battery>3 dots>advanced settings>disable app power monitor), turned of wifi scanning and bluetooth scanning.
The root of my problem was attempting to use the pokemon go plus. It allows the app to use the location of the device in the background while the screen is off and the app is not in the foreground. It was not lighting up every 5 minutes for the pokestop like it normally does. Going to maps, I discovered my location was way off. After opening the app, it would correct itself after a few seconds, but other times it would not.
This is also affecting smart lock (unlock) which allows you to choose locations where your phone does not require a password or fingerprint to unlock. It had always been flaky, but lately actually worked fairly well.
GPS issues is far from the only issue. I see monthly updates coming to us for a while (hopefully carriers will be right behind)
turning off battery optimization for locationservices seems to have made a difference. Smart lock is now working consistently and I am no longer drifting in my app. I also rebooted right before making this change, so that could have an effect too. I am going to leave it like this for a couple days to see if it helps. This makes sense, as the doze feature in nougat got reworked.
If you go to the Location settings, you'll notice that the "Locating Method" will randomly change between High Performance, Battery Saving, and Device Only. Pokemon Go is not compatible with Battery Saving, so if you get that error message when you know your GPS is enabled, go to Location settings and switch the Locating Method to either High Performance or Device Only. (Quickest way to do that is to press & hold on the GPS icon in the notification shade, which'll take you directly to the setting you need to toggle.)
The problem I'm having is getting that setting to stick. It seems to randomly change its Locating Method throughout the day, and I can't figure out how to force a static setting.
Here's what I've figured out, works 100% of the time:
1. Go to your device administrators and disable Android Device Manager (ADM).
2. Force Close Google Play Services.
3. Re-enable ADM.
4. GPS works now.
This thread is old, but the annoying problem persists.
I have this damn "GPS Signal not found" in Pokemon Go, too since i updated to Android 7.0.
Outside the GPS works fine and a have no problems. Inside buildings i have trouble with this damn bug since Android 7.0.
Sometimes it workes, sometimes not. If the phone is laying flat on the desk, the error comes up. Then i take the phone up and shake it a little bit, then the error goes away. After laying the phone back, the error comes up again.
Stopping google play services, clearing and updating the AGPS data and reassigning the permissions to the app didnt work.
Is there possibly a new useless battery saving feature in Android 7.0 thats checks for the accelometer and stops the gps service if there is no motion ?
I disabled the battery saving feature completly in the settings.
Has someone got successful rid of this damn error ? Or do i need to flash Android 6.0.1 for better gameplay ?
Any updates on this issue?
There seems to be lots of problems with GPS on these devices, and also on devices with similar chipsets (looking at you, MSM8996) all over the Internet.
Zero solutions so far :-/
I am suffering something similar.
I have tried Sygic, Here maps, Google maps and Waze.
Basically GPS location is turning on-off every few seconds (not check mark, But signal is turning on off)
For a while GPS finds location, guides me, Then arrow just stops. After few seconds It finds location again (I will have moved few 100 meters further by then, So display suddenly jerks to new location).
Very annoying.
I am running lineage OS 14.1 (Android 7.1) on Zenfone selfie ZD551KL.
Have already tried various builds of Lineage along with full format.
So my phone rebooted over night and installed Nougat. Giving it a try today it seems fine for the most part, but I noticed my location will not update at all in Google+. I just tried a factory reset with no luck at all. This was definitely working the day before as I can see my history in the google location webpage, but there is nothing for today whatsoever.
Anyone use this feature and having issues? Any tips? I've checked every single spot for permissions I possibly can. G+ should have access.
Facing somewhat the same problem. It does work when I go to Settings, Google, Location, or something and then to the entry at the very bottom and disable and re-enable it on the next screen. But only for a few hours or days. Sometimes this option even switches itself off.
so my weather disappeared from both my Google feed and at a glance and won't come back. been this way for like 3 days now. I uninstalled Google app, reinstalled and it worked for like 15 min then disappeared again. wtf is going on?

I think this might be a recent system-wide glitch on Google's server side.
There are several other internet threads on this topic, including on the XDA Pixel 1 XL thread, see:

I've had the same problem on an og Pixel 128 gig on Android 7.2.1 Verizon variant unlocked using depixel8, rooted running old versions of SuperSU and TWRP
Cellular service on a pre-paid T-mobile MVNO
Noticed weather readout missing about 5 days ago 3/21/2018. Homescreen shows only day and date now.
Tried every trick in all the threads shown above, but nothing fixes the problem.
Uninstalling updates to Google app worked first time to get a weather reading, but it never would update and long gone now.
Hope someone under warranty escalates issue with Google.
Once temporarily restored I noticed mine disappears as soon as a calendar appointment or similar appears on the at a glace widget. Also read it's associated with you account insofar as some folk with other accounts get better maileage by switching to those accounts.
Been like if for a while for me - no fix in sight so far...
I have totally stock PIxel 2 64GB
how does Google constantly manage to f up every little thing? I just don't get it.

WOW. those morons at Google tied it into location history!! I had that crap off since day 1 in every phone because it's battery consuming and now i just turned it on and bam, weather instantly back. what a JOKE.

Interesting. Will also try that, as every other trick did not work. Weird Google Dev Guys.
Can confirm, it came directly back after enabling the location history.... Really does not make any sense for me....
Yep it is now tied to location history. They use every possibility to get your data. "You won't give us your location history? Well, than you can't see how the weather is right now"
Does anyone know a similar widget than? Having weather data is not worthy cutting my battery time in half. Also i think the location history is just ridiculous, it does not have a single benefit for me, i just noticed a way worse battery life last time i tested it.
Somehow it's working again without changing anything
so i have pixel 2 xl, and location history enabled on my phone but its still doesnt work.
anyone found a fix for issue?
I think you must update google app to version 7.24.31.
For me after update to last version weather work again
For me it is also available again, with disabled location history (and no app updates since I don't have access to any WiFi at the moment). Strange...
weird. i honestly gave up. f google. I started using nova again with HD widgets like I always did on every phone.

I tried everything above. I finally uninstalled the Google App through the Play Store, then updated the Google App (it's a system app, so it doesn't completely uninstall). That worked for me.
I managed to fix it following these steps.
1. Uninstalled the Google app
2. Opened the outdated app
3. Menu
4. Customize feed
5. Navigated to the Weather section and tapped on View All Settings
6. Disabled "Weather updates" and "Weather updates for your location"
7. Tapped on the DONE button
8. Kill the Google app
9. Went back to the store and updated the Google app
10. Open the app go to customize feed and reenable the weather updates again.
I have used various methods involving uninstalling and reinstalling the Google app. All restore the weather until after the next calendar event appears in the at-a-glace widget
I gave up trying to get "At A Glance" to work consistently. Being at the whim of whatever updates or backend changes Google decides to make turns it into an occasionally useful but mostly inconsistent, useless waste of screen space.
If you use Nova, you can use "Another Widget" from the Play Store. It's layout is identical to At A Glance and allows font, size, and other detailed customizations. It's basically a better "At A Glance" widget.
I just tried something today and the weather at a glance was back. I went into "Customize feed" -> weather settings, and changed "Preferred temperature units" from Celsius to Fahrenheit and weather at a glance was back (both in feed and on home screen). Then I changed it back to Celsius and the weather update is still there... Weird.
I tried every piece of advice I read about it and it didn't work properly (uninstall Google app, enable location history, etc.), but this did it. Hope it helps.
