where in an unpacked rom can i find what tells the phone that its a sprint phone or Verizon or virgin mobile?
I see some nice roms up in the optimus v section of xda, however i cannot install them because i am a sprint subscriber and that would bring unnecessary complications.
So i was wondering:
if there is some folder or file that regulates whether or not it can use a certain server (sprint and stuff). But more importantly can i switch the file out with one compatible with sprint?

This related with the unofficial AOKP 4.2 ROM for the LG LU6200 latest version 0417 (post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240710#post40443849): does anybody has tested the battery life of the phone with this ROM?
2nd question:
Somebody was able to activate this phone on a CDMA Network in the continental America? because Im trying to activate on a CDMA network provider (IUSACELL) but I cant find proper a walkthrough or proper steps to program it
Hey everyone. I recently flashed the new CM12 rom to my Galaxy S5 and mostly everything works fine. The only problem I have is I can't make calls and/or send text messages. My carrier is Sprint and my model was formerly SM-G900P however after I flashed CM12 it now says SM-G900F. Whenever I click on mobile plan it says "Sprint has no known provisioning website". I can't even access the APN settings. Can someone please help me fix this, I love CM12 and would rather not go back to stock. I have no problems with my IMEI/MEID number, and under Status in settings my phone number still comes up however for Network it says "Searching for Service" and for Mobile Network Type it says "Unknown", it also says "Disconnected" for Mobile Network state. Is their any way to fix this?
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. From what I can see you have the Sprint S5 (CDMA) but it looks as though you've flashed a ROM for the GSM model. GSM and CDMA are totally different mobile technologies so using a GSM ROM on a CDMA device will result in exactly what's happened to you. Where did you find the ROM that you flashed? Can you provide a link please?
Your device forum is here:
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 5
Make sure you bookmark that page. Make sure you only ever use ROMs/kernels/mods/modems etc from within that specific device forum for your device. There are many different variants of the S5 and you can't mix and match ROMs, this time you probably got lucky but flashing the wrong firmware can very easily brick your device.

Hi, I bought an ATT Unlocked D800 LG G2. I am using it on the MetroPCS network and all features work. I have 4G LTE working well. I dont want the ATT Firmware on it. Is there a way I can install the MetroPCS Firmware on it? or Tmobile Firmware? I want to do this so I ca get the WiFi calling feature and other MetroPCS apps that are not on the ATT Firmware.
I have the LG flash tool installed but when I try to flash my G2 D800 with the Tmobile D801 Firmware it gives me an error. Ive been reading everywhere but cant find an answer. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks G..

I have the same issue as you and gave gotten no answer from anyone. I think we both will have to wait for a flashable zip. This was also posted in the wrong forum. Should be unfer Q/A.

Hi gyes .I suggest you go on this specific pagehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 and read very well everything there !you have to download the firmware you need i suggest you flash 80110g jelybean for easy rooting then but put insde the lg flash tool d801 dll file and then sould work .Also you need the mega dll to flash in windows .!Read there .Now if your g2 doesnt support the specific firmware of d801 you have to be prepaired before and downloaded already your specific phones firmware so you can flash via download mode yours specific firmware again .to make it work .I think you are not having issues with the d801 firmware but i can not be sure .!An other way is to root as you are now put a recovery (flash ) and make a back up of your current firmware 1st so you can go back safely if something wrong accures.I believe that your touch screen shall work with d801 firmware touch so you are not having issues but an alternative way is to reach the imei and find what is your phones manufacturer firmware .Also if its refurbished you can never be sure and you have to open the back case to find out 100%Hope i helped you .:good:

Also i have to warn you that if your cell is d800 motherboard for sure you have to flash the d800 att firmware with d800 dll inside the flash tool folder ,,also you will need a d800 custom recovery after rooting !!Dont flash the wrong recovery or you will brick temporary !! If you flash the d801 firm you will also have sound issues (different hardware microphones on d 800 )!Afterwards you already flashed the att firm root & recovery steps you maybe can flash a d801 rom but with d800 kernel before reboot :good:
[ROM] T-Mobile 4.4.2 Stock D80120e (Wi-Fi Calling)
I have modified the stock T-Mobile D80120e ROM to work on our AT&T LG G2.
This will allow your AT&T LG G2, D800, to function just like a T-Mobile LG G2, D801, giving you the ability to use T-Mobile WI-FI Calling.

Hello all, I recently purchased a lg g3 model # lg-d852. I'm currently with wind mobile and would like to get the device working on their network. I have been told from people that it's possible and others that it's impossuble. Figured I would ask the experts before I waste anymore time or money. Will the device fully function? Will I have to flash a modem? Also would this be possible to myself? I have installed custom roms and rooted many devices before by following tutorials.
So did you figure it out ? cause i have an LG g3 aswell and i want to go to wind
Hi everyone,
I've heard people having success flashing Tmobile ROMs on compatible AT&T devices. By doing this, one can take advantage of Tmobile's WiFi Calling feature. What are some of the things to look for to ensure that ROMs from a different vendor will work on another vendor's devices? Specifically, I'd like to use a Tmobile ROM on Cricket's Escape 3 (model K373), and Tmobile's K7 (model K330) seems similar.
Thanks!

Hello,
We don't recommend flashing other device firmware into another.
