Video recording quality? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have had my s3 for about a week, I have been far from impressed by the video recording quality of this phone. It is very jittery and shaky from just a slow pan movement. The quality of the video itself is nice if you don't move at all, but some slight movement and it turns to garbage. I have had a HTC evo, a Motorola photon,an iphone 4 and 4s, a galaxy s II, a nexus s, and even a blackberry bold 9930 and none of them did this. Anyone else have the same issue or does someone have a fix?

Front face camera on Fring

When I use Fring can't find the way to activate the FFC. Only the rear camera shows. Anyone have the same problem? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure apps have to be updated to support the FFC. I could be wrong.
I'm almost positive that you have to change which camera you're using in the settings on fring.

Just checked no settings for that. Checked while I was in a video chat also. No option.
Try Tango. Works great. My video chat of choice. I don't have anyone on fringe except my boss and its a little late to bug him. Lol

Confirmed. I just got a G2 and MyTouch 4G for my wife and here's what I got:
- Qik: wouldn't let me start a video chat with G2. G2 qik app didn't have an option to start a video call either.
- Fring: Only used the rear camera on MyTouch 4g during the video call. I suspect this will be fixed soon. The quality was pretty bad, however.
- Tango: worked like a charm. Rear camera on G2 and front or rear camera on MT4G. I love how it lets you quickly switch between video/voice/camera options. The quality of video was very snappy. I did WiFi on MT4G to HSPA+ on G2 at first, and then did WiFi to WiFi and even though WiFi on both ends was smoother the HSPA+ was still very impressive.

Call Recording on Nexus S...?

It's an elusive topic, most phones out there cannot do this natively. The South Korean Galaxy S is known to have this feature BUILT-IN.
Wonder if Nexus S can do this?

Anybody...?
No

I'm interested in this too... My LG Scoop dumbphone (Ahhh, the Alltel days) could do this natively, but I never found an app for it when I got my Droid.

Think it can be hacked onto the Nexus S which uses basically the same design and components?

With Galxy S you just need to take the libaudiopolicy.so from the Korean Galaxy and it works.
of course I tried the libaudiopolicy.so with Nexus S but phone won't boot after this.

Just wanna buy Google Nexus S , but call recording is importing for me .
There is a restriction recording calls on Nexus S. Don't know why...
It would be cool if somebody find the solution...
IMO there is no way to enable call recording. Nexus S is 1 year old, and today it still don't have ability to record calls.

Sound when recording video

Was at a gig the other day and recorded a bit of video of it but the sound came out all horrible and distorted. Any one else have this or know a way to get better sound when recording video?
The microphone in the Sensation is horrible. There's no way around it, unfortunately.
Common HTC smartphone issue unfortunately

YouTube low quality

Is it possible to make the YouTube app play HD instead of HQ. The videos look pretty back and all boxy even with a fast wifi connection

No
Edit: maybe if you use a computer user agent in a browser that allows it.

Our screen is only capable of running at that resolution or that type of youtube video. Unless you get an iphone with a retina display. If you do....dont ever come back to this forum EVER... thats if you get an iphone.

Amazon Prime Video Quality?

Ok, so if I stream video from amazon prime (regardless of the browser) on my one x, the quality is stuck at the lowest level no matter if I am on my WiFi, lte or 4g. Look in the lower right; if I am on a computer I usually get 3 or all 4 bars. I'm just curious if there's a way to bump it up. The quality isn't that horrible and I can stand it, but I just wanna see if there's any way to increase it. Thanks all

Anyone? Is it just a limitation of android's flash player or something?
