I've compiled Cyanogenmod rom from source for Dream and Magic and I want to share.
I want to thank farmatito for his kernel.
Now on Dream the rom seems ok.
I have DangerSPL and it's necessary because of system size.
Links to download the rom and the gapps are in the first post of this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106091
flash it at your own risk and all comments are useful!
EARLY ALPHA STAGE, UNSUPPORTED, UNOFFICIAL AND MAYBE IT WILL NOT WORK ON YOUR DEVICE. TESTED ONLY ON FEW PHONES.
When I'll build new version I'll upload here.
does it work on 2.22.27.08/1.33.0013?
doesn't work on new radio waited 10 minutes too see if something would happen nothing did any help

Thanks. This is amazing rom. It is butter smooth (though I did my own settings.)
I removed the unnecessary apps from Gapps. It gave more free system rom.
CompCache 26%, Jit-off, Dith-off, Purging -off, VM-24, CPU: Max-576, Min-346.

Guys,
I tweaked this ROM a bit and I am now able to get the BT working.
I have informed Jordan about my tweaks. I think he will incorporate them in the next build or look into them.
Update:
Tweaked the ROM a bit more to add app2sd to it and it is working good now.

Ok,i already rooted it.but i need to find a way to install recovery and flash kernels.im experienced android user, flashed my x8 all day and really knew everything about that phone.i just need to figure g3 out.i think its not that hard
Sent from my GT-I5800 using Tapatalk
First find the flashing tools. It can be found after you download a rom as its included in the file you downloaded, or just search google for i5800 odin i think. Then, head over to the g3mod thread and download g3mod kernel v2.2.2. 2.3 has some bugs with the recovery i believe, so currently stick with 2.2.2. Then download the tar file of the oc or non-oc, then open odin as admin, select the ops file, and tick one package and select the g3mod tar file you downloaded. Then boot your phone to download mode, using vol down+home+power buttons. Then connect your phone to the com and click start. However, pls make sure you have downloaded kies and installed phone drivers and make sure you computer can detect your phone and you csn transfer stuff to and fro your com before this. Head over to the use odin for dummies thread. May have the files you need not sure xD. I'll try to find the things for you
Edit: yup its in the guide to use odin in the general section

HI
Congratulations! this is a beautiful fone!
All ROMS have their Advantages and disadvantages, some are most stock & stable, some are very fast, other have a lot of features, etc. Depends on what you want, There is only one way to find out. Try them all. I personally use Kyorarom.
Other than what you already know, my phone explorer software & client is very handy and indispensible.
You may check my ROM also. Based on DDJP6 with ICS touch!
Kyrillos ROM is very nice and we're expecting an huge update from kyrillos (the dev) maybe GB, it's like everything "wait and see" .

Yeah,i heard kyrillos has a very good rom.so did someone try ics ports? Are they smooth in scrolling? I think ill try kyrillos rom or kyorarom.only request i have is no touchwiz.look.i really dont like it.i more like Cyanogen,or even stock gingerbread look.

I'm using CyanogenMod 7. It's the only AOSP gingerbread ROM and is still in an Alpha stage so it has some problems.
Check all ROMs. Flash everything. Well start from Froyo ROMs. DutchMods, Vivek s etc. And then move to CM7. Well CM7 is the fastest. And in few days, Alpha 7 will be released with most of the things fixed. Now CM7.1 alpha 7 after releasing, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I would suggest you look into uni-yuma-porn and remICS-UX .. those are my faves.

Gps works althought it causes a bit of lag when used, which would be a problem if you use it often. It's up to you really, what best fits your personal use

I don't think it matters...but don't hold me to that one issue you may have come across is rainbow recovery (discoloration or static like lines) which indicates you need GB boot loaders. But since you got official GB through Samsung Kies you should already have them (that's how I got mine)...Buuttttt!! Do you have root?

If that and superoneclick don't work for you, you may have to flash a pack through Odin that will give you root + cwm

Thanks. Could you provide links for getting the ROMS you recommend? When I go to the Cyanogen site, for example, they don't list the Infuse as a supported phone. So which one do you use to get the CM10?
Looking at the uni-yuma-porn it says to flash the Rom, then flash the GAPPS, but no clue on what GAPPS is or how to flash it.
You won't find it up in the cyanogenmod site. Our phone is not supported officially by them, but it has been developed unofficially. It works just as well as those official devices since it is build from the same repo.
All roms I mentioned are found right here on xda under infuse android development.
Gapps stands for google apps which includes the play store and many other apps such as the setup when you first boot your phone. They are often linked in every Rom that requires you flash them.

Just checking up on what everything is.
1. Cyanogen is an android custom firmware. -
2. aokp is an android custom rom base
3. porting simply changing the coding to fit from a similiar device to another
4. All the gb/ics/jb custom.roms.mainly run off altered and tailored versions of these 2.
5. odin used to flash and get a recovery in case of bricking.
6. clockworkmod (cwm) similar used for recovery.
So in essence from base of cyan firmware and aokp rom people make alterations and build platforms ex changing kernels, drivers, and cosmetics.
Hummm.... Believe im getting it..correct me if im wrong

Last time just tried MIUI and I can´t get the UI of ICS, Don´t remember what kind of version tired of MIUI though
Roms with aroma installers give you more options for you to customize the installation. Some frequent options are Gapps, kernels, additional apps and whatever the Chef decides to include.

Yeah, you install the kernel after the cm7 rom. What I did was install cm7 and gapps (The Google Play store and all google apps) first and booted to make sure that everything was working. Then I turned off my phone, booted back into Clockworkmod (By holding down volume down and power button) and flashing the kernel zip.
here's the link to trinity kernel:http://goo.gl/XqDn2
And personally, I would stick to Gingerbread for the time being, ICS and CM10 are still pretty buggy. Once the official ICS comes out, we will be getting a stable CM10 build, but until then I would stick to gingergread.
Here's some info I posted in another thread:

Optionally, you can also flash a kernel: Trinity ELP(http://goo.gl/XqDn2) and Faux52 LG (http://faux.androidro.ms/P999-CM-Kernel-052-sv-lg-stable.zip)seem to be the most popular... Instructions to flash the Kernel:
If one of the kernels gives you issues, try flashing the other one.

You can install a kernel whenever you want, just need to wipe cache and dalvik cache each time, you don't have to start from scratch. Good for testing issues and just for generally testing new kernels.

Have you tried flashing the latest radio? Are you restoring apps+data with Titanium Backup or another app or just apps?
I'm using Synergy R125 with Leankernel TW JB 1.0 using the latest radio and rpm, and stability and battery life are both excellent.
When I flashed the latest release I did the first clean flash I've done in a while when flashing the same ROM (overdue for it), I only restored apps (no data) from TiBu with a few exceptions. Also, though it won't help the issues you've had, I moved everything from my SD card to my computer, formatted the card, cleaned out some stuff and then coppied everything back to the SD card.
CleanROM?
How you guys get good battery life on CleanROM 5? It's a battery drain for me and it isn't the media server issue...
Been on Beans Build 5 for a week and it has been great. Battery life good as well. Couple of issues with Google Play Music, but other than that, Love it!
Beans build 5 with imo's lK 1.0 and I just got 18 hours of battery with 4 hours screen time and I was at 32%. I can't ask for anything more than that. I am very happy with this set up.

Galaxy mod and mean lean jelly bean are both fanyastic. Super stable, fantastic battery life, silky smooth and fast.
Galaxy mod rls 9 comes out tonight. It will not disappoint.

My only hangup is that it's waaay quick. The fast animations are just fine but sometimes I do what I'm not trying to do... Does that make sense to anyone?
I get the best battery and I like the green. Synergy is awesome with similar battery but the Aroma installer and what I can pick is the lock!
