No. Windows RT is not open source, requires secureboot, and is being highly protected by microsoft in terms of who gets to develop hardware. Also even if some miracle hapenned and it worked you stilled wouldn't be able to run normal x86/x64 apps

I'm fairly certain the remote desktop protocol in newer MacOS revisions is based on VNC.

it is. that being said, i tried to set up android vnc viewer to work with my infuse/macbook pro running lion, and it made my computer go nuts.
even when i wasn't using the app, it ate up all of my system resources. it made my computer pretty much unresponsive, and it made my computer heat up to 200+ degrees F. this persisted through several reboots. i still cannot pinpont how i fixed it, but eventually i was able to get the computer back to normal.
haven't been brave enough to try again.
Yikes! Mac is not fun for interfacing with my infuse. I guess Ill just keep em apart. Thanks for the feed backĀ”

You have two serious problems...
1 - You're using Internet Explorer (don't)
2 - You should disable your anti-virus web thingy, if he's gonna give false positives, better off anyways.
PS: I use Ubuntu Linux, so I don't use any of the above.
I use chrome normally but i was able to duplicate the issue in firefox and IE.
Please stop using ie

Ok, yes, IE is bad but he says it happens on other browsers so just drop it.
What is the "malicious URL" that was blocked? There is a good chance that its not actually malicious its just something that someone in an office doesn't want people using or viewing.
Does the cached version show the same?
Well... The anti-virus thinks CM site is "malicious"...
If you think about it ... It is! It could erase your entire phone data, overwrite your phone's ROM with another one.
The information/files on that site are "malicious", thus the anti-virus is correct, and you should stay away from that "malicious site".
This is why I don't use anti-virus.
Sorry for using humor on my previous posts (and this one).

Ok .. let's rephrase that: Stop using windows ....
And on-topic: it is definitely an issue with the antivirus. I never had this issue while in windows (with a proper antivirus set up, of course). In Ubuntu (my favorite) these issues do not exist.
Stop using avast... ess - now v5, is best
Does he even have Avast installed? This could be some infection which got on his system (probably from using ie everywhere) and now wants money to protect him from an imaginary virus.

this is why i love android, my brother has an ipad and he got angry when he used itunes - he didn't know how to sync, then he accidentally deleted all of his files on his ipad. luckily there was no important files, now it's jailbroken so it became easier to manage files with iFile, but still not as good as android,
just curious, what about linux and Chrome OS, can you use your android as an mass storage in these OS, i think chrome OS should be ok because it's made by google

the Chromebook runs Chrome OS or Chromium OS, something like that

it's a stupid OS anyway, only have the Chrome browser, i really don't know who would use that Chromebook, and it's not cheap

Odin Not Working in Windows 8

So, from my own experience so far it appears that Odin 3.x does not work in Windows 8. The app will lock up the entire operating system while flashing.
Is anyone else having this experience?
I haven't tried odin, but MTP locks up the OS when I try to rename a file/folder or drag something into a different folder.

I have no problems with it. Also to the one bashing win8, do you have a basis for that? What is actually bad about it?

Its a mobile os forced onto a pc. Ive used every os ms has made and this one just makes me go wtf? If you need more there are tons of reviews you can read to fill in the gaps
I personally love windows 8 and I think Microsoft did a great job with it.
Doesn't beat my Mac though.

To be honest, I posted this to be a heads up, not a Windows 8 bashing. I have tried it on two different Windows 8 computers so far and same results (frozen OS).

Try right clicking on Odin, then properties, then run as Windows 7 and might work

But to continue with being honest....windows 8 really does suck. Especially on a PC and mouse.

No problems over here running Odin on Windows 8.

Good lord. Everyone knows that there are plenty of people (especially on internet forums) that are afraid of change, and the departure from former Windows releases scares them. If you don't like it, cool. Don't upgrade. Stop trying to convince the world not to use it. Not liking Windows 8 is a matter of opinion, not fact. I'm really disappointed that so many people cant just let it go. Stop hijacking other peoples honest attempts to solicit help to bash the product, please.

I'm not sure if the phone is ARM or not, so can it be able to run dsploit?
What is dsploit? I've not heard of it.
Yes this phone runs on arm. Almost all Android phones do.
