Hi guys,
as you can read from the title i softbricked my tablet after installing Beats Audio.I've been trying to improve the audio part on this device (or at least make it sound louder) but after Beats Audio Installer restarted the tablet it got stuck at the Asus logo (the one with the spinning wheel) and doesn't go any further.
Factory restore doesn't solve the issue, downgrading with the .22 rom also doesn't work so only solution is to wait until Asus release the .26 update on their support site.Anyway just wanted to warn you guys so your tablet doesn't end up like mine

take a Micro sd an put the update zip on it and name it EP700_SDUPDATE.zip zip then hold the volume button while turning in to go into recovery mode
Also did you reset data on your tablet afterwards? Using the recovery menu?

Have you actually read his post? "Factory restore doesn't solve the issue, downgrading with the .22 rom also doesn't work"
I did found some interesting solutions to the issue,but i'm still investigating,see here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492887 and here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738825
It's a bit complicated but i already setup a Kubuntu installation, now i have to make sure the device is recognized in adb.For now i'm tired, the tablet battery is empty so i guess is better if i get some sleep before trying a risky procedure like this.

Is not easy to downgrade when your device is soft bricked and when your bootloader is still locked so you dont have CWM recovery. And btw,i've never said i downgraded,i've said the downgrade to a previous firmware doesn't work using Asus recovery.
P.S. I love Android devices but Google sould seriously consider banning such high risk applications from Market, you can't just let every application in there.
I've a TF700 and the casque Beats Audio from HTC Sensation XE, it can work perfectly with TF700 ? The tablet recognize the casque, the buttons work (play, rew ...) ?
I hope you resolve your problem
Back in business
Now that Asus uploaded the new firmware on their i managed to unbrick my tabled so i`m finally able to use it again.

Welcome back! Had to be a nighmare. I bricked mine (and I am proud to say I was the first here to brick it ;>) only for a few hours and it sucked.
They should release these .zip updates on their website before they do it over OTA anyway.

How were you able to do that? I am a little new to this, I have the exact same problem except my bootloader is unlocked, but it boots into stock recovery just the same, and I can't seem to get out of the bootloop. It will only boot to stock recovery, not the TWRP which i previously installed, and when it boots into recovery I just get the dead android, and the following:
Finding update package...
E:failed to mount /sdcard (no such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /sdcard/ASUS_BUNDLE.zip
E:failed to mount /sdcard (no such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /sdcard.
Installing update...
Finding update package...
E:failed to mount /sdcard (no such file or directory)
E:Can't Mount /sdcard/EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip
SD Installation aborted.
and my only option are reboot, wipe data, wipe cache.... any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

can you mount the phone via USB and save a rom then rename that rom to update.zip on your memorycard? or download a specific update.zip for your phone.

Check the md5sum of the file you are wanting to flash.
Hi,
I decided today I wanted to get back to stock ICS on my Transformer. After looking around I saw that all I had to do was download the file from Asus' website and flash it in recovery. I downloaded the V9.2.1.24(WW) zip file (Yes I'm sure the WW file is for me as I bought the tablet in Australia) and then extracted that to get the WW_epad-user-9.2.1.24 inside. I placed this on the root of my MicroSD card and rebooted into recovery (Rogue XM Recovery 1.5.0). I wiped cache, dalvik cache and all user data before choosing to install the 9.2.1.24 zip file. It looked fine at first until an error came up:
Code:
Installing update...
assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/blob", "staging")
E: Error in /sdcard/WW_epad-user-9.2.1.24.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I don't know what's wrong so I'm wondering if someone could help me out here?
Thanks.
I had that error once on my phone and i resolved it by flashing another recovery. So you could try that but if you want to flash it from your pc you can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683311

Wow, that worked. Thanks!
I think I may have screwed up pretty big, but hopefully someone can help me out. I unlocked the bootloader on the HTC one, was trying to install the updateSU.zip but it was not showing up in the SD card in clockwordmod. I accidentally did a factory reset and now I can't get passed the HTC logo screen and I don't have anything backed up. I can still get into clockwordmod but I'm not sure how to undo this. I have tried searching about similar problems but it gets confusing on other phones when people start talking about external SD card slots. I think I can still side load roms through the all in one kit, but I am not sure. Any help would be much appreciated, I am so sad!
If you can access the recovery than your good. All you have to do now is to flash ROM supported by the installed kernel or flash another kernel and ROM.
If you're aiming on recovering some data then I'm afraid I have to burst your bubble because factory reset wipes all user data.

Alright, thanks for the reply. I am not concerned about user data, I just want to be able to use the phone at this point. I am not rooted yet, I can't seem to install the zip file. Would I be able to flash another kernel and ROM? or do I have to wait until the factory RUU is available?
You can try flashing a custom kernel and a custom ROM. If you've successfully unlocked your bootloader then you should be able to do it without any trouble.
Also how do you mean you can't install a custom ROM from the SD card? Does it write out any errors?

I can't install a rom from the SD card, when I look into "install zip from SD card" it isn't there. I put the .zip file into the internal memory before it got soft bricked and it never showed up in clockworkmod. I don't know how to access the internal memory now, so I tried side loading the zip with the all in one program, and it starts and says it finished, but it just stays at the HTC logo screen. I tried waiting for about 12 minutes and it never booted up.
Have you tried mounting the USB storage from CWM while connected to your PC? You could transfer the zip onto the SD card that way.
But anyway, if the installed ROM wont boot up then it is most likley due to the fact that you're trying to run it on a kernel it does not support.

You could also sideload the ROM if that is an option in CWM (I use TWRP)

I tried to sideload the custom rom Orio on the HTC one but it gets a kernel error at the end.
As soon as clockworkmod pops up I get
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I am also using clockworkmod v6.0.3.0
HTC released the kernel source code for the HTC one on their websitefor some carriers, but mine isn't out yet (sprint). Is that what I need to get it back to factory rom?
I found some RUU files for the HTC one (M7) at android files RUU website, it shows Asian and European files but no North American or US yet. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong but it would be nice to start from scratch, or at least be useable.
I'm going through the same thing.. I accidently managed wiped everything on the phone when rooting and trying for S-Off. which i managed to achieve it all, until i saw "TAMPERED" atop of unlocked. That's when i tried to get rid of it and somewhere in that process, I fukt **** up... Now it seems I'm hooped.. Phone just goes to bootloader or fastboot, or whatever's on the screen.. I even used the All in One Kit to try and push a recovery countless times.. Don't know the command to push recovery or n e thing else to device... When i try, "Device not found" is what i get.. Just trying not to take it back, but looks like i may have too... If there's any in sight on this, that'll be awesome.... Cheers

You solved this wiped issue?
Thanks
I tried to run CWM in System Recovery but everytime I try to install a ZIP file I get:
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I read over several posts on this subject but cannot figure it out.
I have:
Samsung Infuse
Gingerbread - installed after I had bricked my phone - UCLB3_Unbrick_root_1.1.zip
My Android Recovery Menu is blue - <3e>
When in my phone, I can run Terminal and get a Linux prompt - so I assume that means its rooted.
Wanting to get CWM.zip installed so I can go on to installing ICS and then on to JB.
Any ideas on how to get passed this roadblock?
Thanks
Carl
