Hi all,
Ive got one of these chinese copy phones (Hero H7000), to replace my much loved HTC HD2...
Its a great phone, the dual sim is very convenient... and it was very fast in the begining, but has started to slow recently!
I was wondering if anyone knows of any tutorials anywhere that can help me replace the screen, I dropped it and it made a small crack, but still worked fine... I decided to take it apart (a practice run if you like) so I would know how to remove the screen when I buy one soon.
Long story short... Couldn't remove the screen from the circuit/motherboard and now I put it back together its not functioning properly i.e. screen lock drags down but doesnt unlock the phone, so cant access menu. When I plug the usb charger in it jumps onto the menu but I cant select anything, or it selects random stuff!
Has anyone got any ideas or is it a for sale spares or repairs!?
Thanks guys! :crying:
Also: Does anyone know of any ROM's for this device? Maybe it just needs a fresh installation... and a new screen! lol

Well i had small problems for a while but its starting to get anoying... i have the portection plan..i dont wanna change my vogue.. i wanna keep it .... ok here are the problems.. (on the order they started affected me haha)
1. when i touch the screen sometimes i can c the screen change a little form the side of the screen
2. Sometimes the battery justs falls off little bit from the phone and it turns off...
3. When i wanna correct something(when typing) .sometimes i wanna use the buttons that are on the bottom but recently they randomly stop working too
It also has scratches just little tho but its been a year since i got this phone... the same phone.i want a replacement! another new vogue =D
can anybody passs me the stock rom from sprint.
what should i do? any other problems i could tell them to get a new one.. lol
if i just show them the phone it looks ok....
Magicalan,
You've had it for over a year and you want to send it back and expect them to replace it?
Give me a break lol, any service centre will say its wear and tear.
Im closing this thread as it serves no real purpose. As for the original Rom, check the Vogue wiki.
Hi guys, I've looked online and couldnt find anything about this issue. So the touch-sensitive buttons on my display light up when I press the home button. The screen doesn't activate or anything ,they just light up . Interestingly enough, they don't do it if I touch the screen or another button at the same time. Weird. Anyone know what the deal is here? Or is it just a wonderfully done job of HTC's?
Second issue, a more common one, but the solutions provided didnt work for me. The screen goes nuts when I plug it into a USB port and sometimes when it's plugged into the mains. I can't use it properly and if I try to type something, it will just go berserk with the keyboard. It's very annoying because I can't control it at all. I have managed to find a way to half-fix it which is: I take any cases I have on the phone and make sure to touch the back of the phone with the same hand that I am using the touch screen with. But I can't use it if I don't do that, and even so it doesnt work all the time.
I tried the "aluminium foil" trick and the "pull the little metal flap" trick, none of them worked at all. Anyone know if there's something I can do?
Just to give you an idea of what I have, the phone is boot-unlocked, s-off -ed (using JuopuntBear) and running Android Revolution HD - with XE and Beats Audio. Using ext4 as recovery. Obviously, my warranty is non-existent at the moment so taking it to my network provider is out of the question (plus, that takes ages and I dont want to be that long without a proper phone).
So, what can I do? IS there anything?
Sorry about the long boring post though.
idk. One search i did said that installing htc sync helped. Other than that or loading up an RUU i couldn't say right now.
So would an RUU just restore me to the stock ROM? Because I wouldnt imagine that to be a solution, since It's been acting up since before I unlocked the boodloader, s-off-ed or did anything to it. also, I had HTC Sync for a while and it still went bananas. Thanks for the advice, hopefully, if this is a hardware problem (which it looks like, at the moment), HTC will say something about it soon.
I'm fixing an infuse for a friend who needed the screen replaced simple enough job so I thought as I repair phones and electronics as kind of a hobby. However the replacement screen isn't responding to any kind of touch at all. It displays the puzzle piece lock screen and everything else even shows there's been some missed calls ect. yet will not respond to any kind of touch. I think it's a calibration issue but I can't get passed the lock screen so there's no way to change the setting. Honestly I'm most worried about all the media on the phone most (pics, videos, contacts, ect )
If there is a way I can retrieve that off the internal storage I'll feel better about taking drastic measures. Other things I've noticed is an unusualy long boot up time hanging at the white Samsung letters but this is the first time I've dealt with an infuse so I'm not to sure on that.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
s1im
There are different versions of screens or maybe it was revisions. At least for the LCD +digitizer assembly. Rev.6.1 and 6.2 and 6.3 if I remember correctly.
Edit....here is a link for reference, also two of the screens were interchangeable but not all three. Sorry I don't remember which ones.
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=180914982430&siteId=0&isClassified=false
Edit....my statement regarding interchangeability may not be true. The screen I bought could be used as a replacement for two of the rev numbers. That could mean that it is backward compatible but the other one isn't forward compatible.
The link said this item has been removed, but to be clear your saying not all revisions of screens can be used as replacements that you must find out which rev your original screen is?

Correct mine had a sticker on it.
Bummer I have no idea what kind of screen she had I threw it away as a jumbled mess is there any other way to find out what screen it was... either way thanks for the replies
Wish I could answer that, but here is another screenshot. It shows one for 6.0/6.1 and another for 6.2 so my original numbers were off. Did the new one say what it is?
Do you know of any way to retrieve the pics and other media off the phone without being able to unlock the screen

Just guessing but maybe adb. You could try to edit the title of your thread or start a new one about this question.
Edit..I have an idea but first a few questions , is this phone stock, and would you be comfortable flashing a kernel if it is? This will give you CWM recovery which has mount USB storage as an option in it. All this can be done with the physical buttons, power and volumes.
I found something that may work without having to make software modifications so I'm going to try that first and if not I'll get back to you...
To answer your questions tho the phone is stock and I've rooted /flashed a couple phones with no problems before so I'm OK with giving it a try
Again I'd like to thank you for your continuous help
You should be able to pull everything you need with adb...but the problem is, is adv enabled? And can you pull a whole directory? I doubt you know individual file names for each media file, not to mention that would be a long tedious process as there are likely well over a 100 if not in the 1000s of music/pics/vids
Well..looks like you can pull a whole.directory (sdcard)
this thread may help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=744454
Btw...you don't have to be rooted to adv pull

UPDATE: I took the phone back apart finally after some grueling hours of adb research that lead me almost in circles and found that the replacement LCD is a rev 6.2 and that the revs 6.0/6.1 are the universal more common screens in the u.s. infuse. I decided to return the screen and get the other rev in hope it will be that easy...
I'd like to thank the 2 above members that gave me help especially adfergurson for sticking with me and my ?s I will post back when the next screen comes in to confirm it worked for anyone else needing this as future reference

ADB was the first thing I thought of, but flashing a kernel with custom recovery in Odin should allow you to get into USB storage. I am not familiar with the stock recovery but you could see what options are there. I believe it would be from device powered off hold volume up+volume down+ power buttons then release power at Samsung screen.
Were you able to resolve the screen issue with the different version? I am having the same problem.
I had a faulty digitizer/lcd display and replaced both yesterday. When I first booted up the phone, I was disappointed because I couldn't even unlock the phone. After a few swipes, it unlocked and I checked if my touch screen problems went away. It looked like they did, but every time I tried to unlock my phone, it would still take multiple tries for it to recognize my touch. Very annoying, especially if I get a call. By the time I would get it to recognize my touch the caller would be sent to voicemail, so I tried different lock types but they all had the same problem. The simple solution was to disable the lock screen altogether, but I didn't want my screen to accidentally keep turning on while it's in my pocket so I tried a different rom after backing up. After multiple attempts to install a different rom, I had to use the TMOUS RUU and get back to stock 4.0.3. I'm still having the same problem. I'm pretty sure it's nothing having to do with the digitizer/lcd since they are both brand new and all parts of the screen are responsive once I get past the unlock screen. Anyone else have this problem, and any solutions besides disabling the unlock screen?
where did u get the digitizer/lcd from i had that issue to when i bought a cheap digitiezer with lcd screen from ebay it was low quality. So i ended with buying another one and it worked with that one without issues did u check all connections ? that might be a problem or do u got a screen protector on it i heard about a lot of problems with them too
I don't wan't to discourage you, but when you change displays it's never the same as the original. You've didn't note, if you bought an original HTC Sensation display, but I doubt that it is. Anyway, the problem should be with the micro flat cable connection. I've had the same problem replacing my screen on Samsung Galaxy Ace. You should give it to someone that can try and connect the flat again, but really, don't get your hopes up.

I got it from ebay, it's the one with the HTC logo in the middle and no T-Mobile logo, supposedly brand new and never used except to test if it works. I'll try re-installing it and see if that fixes it.
hey

Hi guys,
I'm looking for some help and advice ! Long story short (will try), I purchased a used z5 with a display/screen issue (I guess).
The first owner told me he dropped the phone and that screen was cracked and not working anymore, so he brought it to the repair store... they replaced the screen with a new one, but they told him that the new screen was broken / dead on arrival, and that they would order a new one to replace it again. The guy couldn't wait another month to get is phone back working again, so he quit with the phone like that and purchased a used samsung.
I purchased the standard sony z5 from him. The screen have color lines in it... sometimes purple lines on the left of the screen, all from top to bottom, sometimes it's different (like right now it's alonost all white), but it is not working at all - I don't see anything useful on the screen.
The phone seems to be working though because the flash/photo work with the lower button on the left side... there is an alarm after midnight on it (I wake up like an idiot the first time it came up, trying to stop the alarm, but fingerprint is not mine and screen is not working... I was at the hotel, and damn it was loud... I think it waked up everyone in the other rooms around me before stopping it with power/fingerprint + volume up ;p)
So, I'm wondering if there's only the screen to replace again (with a good one), or if it's worst...
Does anyone know about that kind of issue, and which kind of screen would you put on it ? I want to put a good quality one to use the phone after that.
Thanks in advance for any help and advices !
