WiFikill works perfectly until you go to stop the process, after that my s3 goes to a black screen and buttons light up until I pull the battery... any ideas?

Same
Hi,
i've got the European Version of the Galaxy s3 (i9300) and i have exactly the same problem. But not only in wifi kill. This Problem occurs in Faceniff and other apps that have root acces and are for hacking wireless networks. I don't know how to fix this.
those apps were made for gingerbread, contact the dev/devs.

So my cousin has unlimited data plan and he enables his wifi tethering but it doesn't pull up on the list when my phone is scanning so I load up my atrix and it shows up on that... Kinda messed up if you ask me.
Any ideas of how to fix that issue?

Not sure if it is the same issue but I had the same problem with the galaxy tab. I for found the fix in the galaxy tab forum here on xda. It involved replacing 1 file and worked great after that. Search for "ad hoc" on xda and you will find it.

Is there a way to remove cell radio and telephony services from a GS3, making it a Wi-Fi only device.
I flashed jelly bellies any-phone Wi-Fi only zip, it works on a Fascinate but not on a GS3
And I know that airplane mode works, but to me it's not good enough.

Just use Phone Info from the play store and turn off the radio. Don't see why airplane mode isn't sufficient. Does the same thing.

I've had phone info for a while but never thought about that, Thanks. Hopefully someone can fix Jelly bellies to work for the GS3, it would be appreciated!

Why exactly are you trying to have a WiFi device only that Airplane mode is not good enough?
Telephony services are running in the background. I don't want any traces that the device is a phone, I don't need a second phone. I'm also peaky, I don't want to see the airplane mode icon constantly on status bar.

I've wondered about the same thing. I thought breaking the imei would be a good place to start. There's an easy to access internal antenna I was also considering disconnecting as well to try to prevent the devices communication with the mother station..
my tapatalk signature sucks more than yours.
Never really thought about it myself but i would start by downloading the rom that you wanted to flash to the device and start removing the ril files and any verizon apps. Also wtihout the sim card I'm pretty sure the phone isnt really connecting to the network to begin with. I have a spare s3 laying around so I'll try to see what i can figure out for you
Like I said, I went to the thread link, listed below and flashed this on a Galaxy S "Fascinate" it was successful. The flash removed all the telephony services.
This zip should theoretically work on any phone. But I think this doesn't work on the GS3 maybe do to the naming that Samsung uses on the system apks.

Good evening everyone, I've just got a ZTE Tania from a friend, and after one week i already have a problem with the phone. The Wi-Fi just stopped working, after turning it on, it starts searching for Wi-Fi networks, but with no success. Tried at my workplace, at home, everywhere where my Grand X found any network. The problem is not related to the 7.8 update, it stopped working before i updated it. Tried reseting it to default settings, than updated to 7.8, but its the same: Searching for network->nothing found. I really don't know what caused this problem and how to fix it. If anyone met with something like this I would appreaciate any tip or explanation.
Any idea? Someone?
Have you tried using a wifi app from the play store?

I've tried few wi-fi apps, wi-fi analyzers, but the phone just doesnt recognizes any network. I guess something happened with the wi-fi chip, i hope i dont have to change the whole pba. Anyway I guess that I'll bring it to a service next month.
See if you can melt the WiFi chip back onto the motherboard.
There's heaps of YouTube walkthroughs for that.

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place. Im new here.. has anyone experienced their wifi "cutting out" or suddenly stopped working when using your tab? Its just that I have just brought one and the wifi cuts out frequently. To the stage where I resort to using my galaxy s3. When it cuts out it doesnt show as disconnected. But doesnt load anything. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I recently bought a Galaxy Gear Live and was excited to use it with S health on my Galaxy S5. Turns out, though samsung claimed they would update their software to be compatible with their watch, it still isnt. Not a problem, though. I thought i would still use the google fit app, as its an android wear device. Turns out my phone isnt even compatible with the google app?? Im not sure what to do as both company apps are not supported. Any ideas?

Just because it says it's incompatible doesn't mean it won't still work on your device. You could download the apk and attempt to install, worse case scenario is it won't work

Tried that now, it seems to glitch my phone and freezes it. Also, i just found out other S5's ARE compatible.

That's very odd. Normally Sprint phones are pretty flexible with most apps. Is your S5 on kk or LP?
