Is there an app(Launcher) or a hack to show always the drawer/app depot?

I like Android but i hate the widgets and the Homescreen, i don't need them. So i like the apple surface. Is there a launcher/hack to show always the app surface/drawer/app depot? I use.the go launcher and if it's possible i will use it further more.

Why not just resize your homescreen grid to hold more apps and put all your apps on scrollable homescreens? With adw you can even make the dock disappear all together to make more room for app icons.

For.example the go launcher has a perfect app depot with recently used apps and running apps in tab style thats what i love and want.

Use ADW or LauncherPro and change settings so it won't close App Drawer when you open a new app.

Check if MIUI is available for your device, its does not have a app draw.

Lol then why not just take the fraction of a second d to open the app drawer? Lol doesn't take long. Or just place ur apps on the home screen

Just get a ducking iPhone. Who doesn't like Widgets? This post almost seems kind of trolly Polly if you ask me.

as said above .. Miui is pretty similar to iphone .. no Apps Drawer .. everything is on the main screen ... and its very fast ..

I suggest the same. also set number of home screens to (1). plus since you don't like the home screen, change the settings so that when you press the home button it pulls up your app drawer.

@Nexus 4G: The same like fifarunnerr. There isn´t a option except "Open/Close the App drawer" but i want only "Open the app drawer".

Dude seriously you are retarded if you have a large screen tab and can't figure this out with the multitude of options at your disposal. @OP- I'm not sure you really have an option... Even if u switched to miUI, u would have several homescreens instead of one app drawer. Your going to have to sacrifice. and yes the open/close app drawer is the option I were referring too. I've never seen a rom/preference to completely remove your home screens... Sry bredrin )-:

I've been using this, it keeps losing apps. It's better than nothing, but it's not as good as the MIUI Launcher.

I have lost an app when moving it to the trash can by mistake and tapping Cancel. Goto Settings, Applications and force stop it. Then restart vLauncher and the app should be back. I would like to see the developer pick this app up and do some updating.

When to change launchers?

Hi guys, I am using the epic 4g with randomrom 2.2 phoenix and it uses the swipepad launcher. A friend of mine was telling me about the adw launcher ex and was really excited about it. If I install it, will it mess up my rom? Any help is appreciated

No, you won't mess up anything. Download what ever launcher you like. After you've installed ADW you'll have two launchers (ADW and Swipepad). You can switch between these two by pushing your phones home button.
If you just want to use ADW, but not uinstall Swipepad, you choose "Use as default" and you'll only be using ADW. If you want to go back to Swipepad then go to "Manage Applications" and uncheck "Default settings" (or something like that).

Alright cool. So what is the significance of using a specific launcher with a particular rom? Do certain launchers work better with certain roms and phones or is it all user preference?

Some launcher look prettier, some skipped the good looks for better performance and some have special features.
It's mostly user preference though.
Just browse through the market and try them all out if you want.

Cool thanks for your input as well. I might try another one. I really don't see anything wrong with this one other than it not having gingerbread features, then again I am only 2.2 so it wouldn't. Does anyone know how to "thanks" someone's post while on the xda app on your phone?

App drawer only launcher - Android

Anybody know of a home/launcher alternative for android that is JUST an app drawer? When I press the home button I would rather be taken to an alphabetical app drawer. I don't use Widgets and I'd rather not be required to organize icons on home screens. (Don't say anything about iPhone, please)

There is no only app drawer launcher for a reason. Why would you want it ? xD.
And MIUI has everything except a App Drawer.

SOLUTION
So, I figured out a way to make this happen if anybody is interested.
Target Home Launcher lets you set any app as a home app.

AltDrawer is an app drawer app.

Simply use Target Home Launcher to set AltDrawer as the home app.

In my case
To disable widgets, and since kids using only media and games
I will try "AppDrawer (MIUI App Drawer)" app on google play.

I wish there was, but unlike you, I have searched to no avail.

Delete apps widget?

Hey all not to sure if this is the right place I'm looking for widget that I can drag apps to so they will get deleted like recycle bin on windows any help would be great as my free Xperia rom don't do drag delete

Android just doesn't have a recycle bin type of delete system. There is a feature very similar to that in adw launcher though, where if you hold the icon of an app on long enough as if to move it around the screen, a small menu comes up with options to either remove it from your homescreen or uninstall it completely. The problem with using it is that you'll have to use adw launcher to completely replace the current homescreen you have. If that doesn't sound bad, go for it. It's extremely resource friendly. Used to use it on my crap old virgin mobile phone, and has tons of themes and icon sets to go with it.

i was using this with one of my old roms i just wondered if there was a app / widget) that could do the same if not ill go bck to adw

[Q] Folder Apps

I hate all the App shortcuts being in a big bunch in the Apps Menu. Is there any good apps that I can use to allow me to make folders I can sort them into ?
I would like to root my Xoom and put a newer version on but I don't get all the tech speak and jarganisum now.

Most launchers support folders, but folders are only on the home pages. I don't know of any launchers that allow you to sort your apps into folders.

Well this one doesn't need a launcher. I tried it didn't like it. The layout was'nt what I wanted. Also it tried to be to much.
But deff no launcher needed.

For serious, I think you should the Nova Launcher, you can create "tabs" with it and organize the way you want the apps, these tabs are the "apps" and "widgets" by default, but you still can create a tab called "games" for example! Good luck.
