Nope. You have to be on Gingerbread to begin with.

I used Droid TV. Only app I've found that will let you download to your phone. There's been a few issues, but I've found that the developers are very friendly and willing to help. When the app was removed from the Market, around when I got my EVO 3D they sent me a new apk file.

Amazon Bookstore App on CM7

Hello. I have been using one of the CM7 ROMS and been delighted. However, I am trying to obtain access to the kindle owners library, where you can borrow ebooks for free from amazon. on the amazon webpage, it says that you can only do so from inside the kindle fire amazon bookstore.
does anyone know how to restore the amazon bookstore app on CM7? Is there an APK somwehere? will it have the same problems as the amazon video app on cm7 where it installs, but you are unable to access free amazon prime videos?
thanks in advance
I think you need the stock rom to barrow books and videos.

You can only borrow 1 book a month, you have to be an amazon prime member, and you have to be on the stock rom (or at the very least stock rom with the temporary unroot app) to gain access to the book. And then you only get it for 1 month after that it deletes itself.
Still would like to have it on cm7 as well as a way to instant stream the amazon videos

Kindle app

My cousin got me a Galaxy S3 from middle east. The play store doesn't allow me to install kindle app due to some blizzard restrictions. Links to updated kindle apk will be appreciated. Thanks.

Eh? When you say "Kindle Fire", what do you mean, software-wise?
'cuz I got Text+ both from the Kindle app store (stock ROM, before and after rooting), and later from Google Play (Jandycane).
Here you go bro http://db.tt/3JsZu0h3
Epic.
What I am saying is that I have a rooted kindle fire with play store and it doesn't show up in store and the site says it isn't compatible with my device. They have it on the amazon app store but I deleted that from my kindle. I haven't installed anything special to my kindle other than root.

ahh, I see.
If you're keeping the stock ROM, I humbly suggest keeping the Amazon store - it has apps special to that system.
