Jb 100% battery mod success - Android General

Ive been working a long time trying to get a 100% battery mod for jelly bean. After tons of trials and failures I finally succeeded. I made a batterymod for a kindle fire jelly bean rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798467. Someone made a thread asking if their was a circle battery mod for a certain rom. Their we discussed how to do what i did.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798467. I may post a tut on doing this tomorrow.

[Q] Is there audio yet for Jelly Bean 4.1

Since I am a newbe I can't post in the dev fourms so I will ask my question here. I sucessfully installed [DEV][CRACKFLASHERS] 4.1 Jelly Bean JRN84D (Gnex)/ JRN84C (SDK) with the WIFI update-crespo-JRN83C-preview-2012063001 but no audio is there a workaround a driver perhaps anything, I like this rom it's super fast on my Nexus S
Chris
This wouldn't belong in development anyway (starting new threads in development is for DEVS ONLY) so it's good you couldn't post there.
If you want everything working you should stay away from SDK ports. It's not what you want to hear but it's the truth. There is no source code to work from so they are often very wonky.
No, there is no audio. You have installed the latest port.
There will not be any audio fix for the port. We will have to wait for the Update from Google.

You should have read and asked around before flashing this ROM, as the previous users said and I would like to re-inforce this; SDK ROMs lack a lot of things and are not stable at all. They are not recommended, and they are basically good for previews and stuffing around.
If you really want the new Jelly Bean 4.1, then just wait a week or 2 and a stable version will come out, a custom ROM too.
If you want to revert back to a Custom ROM for now I suggest you use AOKP. It's very stable, reliable and easy to use. Make sure you don't flash a Stock ROM as this can cause problems.
Cheers
From what ive seen there is not audio yet. Devs are working hard to get it out and i appreciate it very much.

There are some very nice and stable ICS ROMs for the A501. There is also a stable, but not quite complete Jelly Bean ROM which I am running. (JB 4.1.2) The two best places to get an ICS ROM and support is Moscow Desire's Evil Alex ROM (hosted on xda), which I understand is based on the stock Acer ICS ROM... however, you will need to upgrade your bootloader to an ICS bootloader. That can be scary for someone new to flashing. An alternative is TegraOwner's ROMs built by Thor and Digitex, which can run with your current Honeycomb bootloader or a custome ICS bootloader, if you wish.
I used to ron Moscow Desire's 3.2 ROM which was very nice. I never have tried his ICS ROMs. I pretty much stick with the TegraOwner's ROMs now because they are well fast, feature packed, stable, and well supported. If you want to run one of Thor's ROMs, you will need to upgrade your CWM Recovery to Touch Recovery v1.7.3. You can find this and all of Thor's stuff on the TegraOwner's site, as well as a lot of support in the forums at forums.tegraowners.com
The final and most stable ICS ROM for the Acer A500/A501 is the TegraOwners ICS v170. If you would like the newer Jelly Bean ROM based on CyanogenMod 10 and Thor and Digitex custom kernel, you can it and support here: forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=680
(You'll have to copy/paste the links into your browser since xda is preventing me from creating links due to my low post count)
The Jelly Bean ROM is real fast and stable. They are still working on gps, hdmi, and a few smaller issues. They will get them ironed out soon. Hope this helps.

Custom ROM, Official JB ROM is not released for 2011 Xperia phones. Moreover, ICS is damn too slow and hence wanted to try out Super Jelly Bean. Don't know what should be the exact sequence of events.
Appreciate any help!
No ROMs I could update

And if you all believe I did not search the forum, I downloaded almost 5-6 custom ROMs, kernels and flashed them but the phone doesn't just boot up.
ICS 4.0.4 did not allow for rooting hence went for 4.0.3 and rooted. Since, last 2 days, I flashed my ray more than 10 time with no success.
No Jelly Bean ROM I could find which would make it workable. Hence, settling for 4.0.3
Thanks.

Hello. How come you didn't get an answer yet? To flash any custom rom all you have to do is to unlock bootloader. Just google the phase "Unlocking the boot loader" and the first link will lead you to the official website with all the instructions (I can't post links since I'm new here). The only problem is that your warranty will be void (if it is a problem). Some roms can be flashed without unlocking, but Super Jelly Bean is not one of them (as far as I know).

So I decide to change to custom ROM and I use SJB with fusion kernel 5.4 and it works fine... ICS 4.0.4 can root.. just follow instruction on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2135918

Hi, maybe am late or maybe not, anyway
I recommend using test point method to unlock your bootloader so you don't lose your DRM data. Proceed with caution do not attempt this if you don't know what you are doing,** I take NO responsibility if something happen to your phone, you are doing this at your own risk.**
here is the links: www[DOT]androidflip[DOT]com/unlock-xperia-phones-bootloader-without-losing-drm-data-track-id-working/
sorry am a new user i can't post links replace [DOT] by .
And also i recommend using Super Jelly Bean 8.0 as its a great ROM very smooth and with nearly no issue.
hit thanks button if this help.

Thanks everyone. With so many help options provided by you fellas, I could flash custom roms. After trying virtually everything, I've settled with SJB 8.
Thanks,
Jitendra
Tried various ROMs and I must say this forum is very helpful.
Not sure how do I close the thread, incase there is any need for it.

[Q] Slim Bean Gapps?

I was going to try Slim Bean, but the link for gapps is broken.
I wasn't able to find the correct version on the slim bean website and I've hit a point of diminishing returns searching through the thread.
I've been having a lot of strange issues on Scott's CM10 like random reboots and loss of charge while plugged in (I'll leave my phone charging over night and I'll see it at 95 before I fall asleep and then it's at at 15 or dead in the morning). These issues probably aren't related to CM10 so I was thinking about repartitioning to stock and trying a different ROM and I've never given slim bean a chance.
Thanks in advance for the help,
bokonon9

Best ROM for A110 (3 year experience) A word of advise!

Hi Guys!
I've been a A110 user. Good phone but out of time now.
Those of you waiting to get a good stable rom, "THERE WILL NOT BE ANY FURTHER RELEASES".
Just look at the damned forums. last roms was KK (unstable) 5 months ago.
There is no point on doing it.
In three years, I've tested 100s of ROMs for this device, even flashed 5-6 a day and if you really want the best for this device, Please go for the "Stock JB" . Best performance, Rock stable, superb battery backup.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160609
Download the JB v1.11.
There is also CWM flashable zips so you can grab that and flash it using CWM.
Also its pre-rooted.
And since its rooted, you can have almost every customization. And the rest will come through Xposed.
Trust me guys, not even a single rom comes closer to this in performance, You can have all your social apps installed and there would only be a little lag after that (very seldom, not often ).
I've tested many roms, almost every rom hangs up and lags a lot after just messenger, gmail and whatsapp.
So guys please stop wasting your time and go for the stock JB. BEST ROM FOR A110.
@Sonu44589 - hi, I disagree with this.... actually lot of developer's have provided us very good ROMs with there hard work.....users are always looking for new things.....I never liked stock ROMs..... there are lot of nice ROMS available , by JMP, suvi, Bond and so on.... now I am using my favorite ROM is by Ibshar, ib-Phoenix ROM v4 .... best ever ROM good performance, I have 100 of apps installed with high end games.... no lag at all.
Ya! I agree that development is stopped now.... but we should accept it as the phone is too old...
I've been on almost every rom ever for this device.
I agree that all roms are quite good. But still 4.1.1 goes up. I've performed every kind of test before giving up the phone. Nothing beats it. (only if phoenix v4 was released after it maybe its an exception)
you should try my ROM... Kalawakan V2.2 ... its also Jelly Bean 4.1... its reaching 27.2fps in nenamark and full GPU rendering...
