Just wanting to see what games you all used to play, and which ones bring the most memories.
Personally, my first ever experience on World of Warcraft (loliknow.) was probably my favourite time ever playing a game. Creating a character and seeing a high level with amazing looking stuff, aww man. Amazing times. I went on to play WoW for another 6 years. Mhmm...
Also used to love playing Sonic on the Sega MegaDrive..
What's your most memorable gaming days?

I would recommend to join a private server on WoW these days, as retail has gone WAY down hill. MoltenWoW is a nice private server. Private servers also save you like £7 a month for a subscription, but its totally up to you.

my favorite is metal geal solid 3, i cried with the end xD is my favorite game of all times. . .
My favorite yet most frustrating game was Crazy Taxi on my Sega Dreamcast. Especially this mission where you had to speed down and hill, stop in a square, and not fall off a cliff. It took me hours to get right.

I haven't played it yet but I think the game "shadowgun" has the best visuals of a game out right now. Its not free though.
Shadow gun is dope and looks like gears of war game play is very similar to it also check it out its pretty cool:thumbup:

Yeah, shadow gun looks pretty good...but I dont think it is worth 5 bucks! I'd rather donate to a dev here than that...zz will prolly try it out if I can't find any other good ones
Thanks for the suggestion though...no other games huh?
I bought shadow gun and its fun to show off and awesome on the tablet especially but I'm not more than five minutes in. Just doesn't pull me. I don't game much on mobile these days tbh. I'd most want to play an RTS but there arent many.

ok...a quick review of games that i have tried on so far...
shadowgun--absolutely worth the 5 bucks that we pay, and also awesome graphics
spirit--fun and looks gud on big screen
Asphalt was good too
shine runner--nice graphics, but the game gets monotonous after a while
Flick Soccer--really good if u r a soccer fan, an absolute time killer
Shadowgun, Dead Space and GTA3 are beasts. Worth the $$. I am a sucker for World of Goo though. So good
check out Gun Bros!

Dev story is addicting, guns and glory, order and chaos, sentinel 3, tank riders, space phsycis, reckless getaway, need for speed shift.

Pretty good actually - I was surprised at how quickly I got used to the controls.
Output to tv is recommended, as with most games on the device.
Out of curiosity, has anyone tried Dead Space? I'm leaning towards trying it out, but the price is on the steep side for a mobile game.
Which cable would I need to buy for tv output?

Take a look at Meteor Blitz then - it's the game asteroids wished it could be and ultimately what that type of game evolved into. Asteroids was the inspiration for 1942 ( my favorite arcade game ever - had a machine in my house and used to play it with my dad when I was a kid )
Air Attack HD is one of the best ones along the bend of 1942
Sky Force Reloaded wasn't bad, but when it comes to games like this there are a lot out there and some aren't so great.
I would also look into the Mini Squadron app, side scroller-type airplane game, but they aren't strung out levels as much as each is an area for dog fights.

Yea, I miss it. Over the years the logic board died, we replaced it with 1942 twice, then Mr. Do. the third time - and after a while we (my dad and I) ended up spending more time with pinball machines so it went to make room for other stuff.

Another cool game i've found is Castle Warriors, it's like Archipelago, but not as hokey, and a fun game.
Asphalt 6 is pretty cool, think that got mentioned already, definitely needs the TV out to be worth playing on a screen this small. Also at the starting line there's always a moment of lag that keeps you starting from behind - but it's going away as I get better cars so that might be an artificial handicap - i'm only halfway through it roughly. Not much time to play now.
Greedy Spiders is a fun puzzle game, where you have to prevent the bugs in the spider's webs from getting eaten. You take turns with the spider, it moves and you get to cut a strand of the web - good puzzler.
I've also started playing Words With Friends, but don't have facebook, so i'm slowly forcing all my friends to actually make usernames so I know who i'm playing.
I'll post a few more when I get a moment sometime.
I decided to give mobile platform a try. I worked before alot with java and it shouldnt be a problem. Im going to make start with games since they are way more fun to code than utility apps. Now the first problem would be the whole idea and concept of the game. I was thinking about some sort of sneaking game where you have to remain silent(not moving too fast), avoid lights and maybe security cameras. This would have traps along the way as well. Developing levels is not easy but this sort of game will just not work on score.
That's my idea. Now...tell me your ideas about a new game concept. The more ideas I get the better it is.
That sounds just like Metal Gear

Gameloft has made a career out of offering us games that the original devs for whatever reason don't offer us on Android.
**note: I love Gameloft games, they are at least high quality knock offs of popular games.
something like transformers where player can become robot and car both and fight with other robot (maybe via internet too)

I am not the biggest gamer...having played a little WoW back in the day, and first two Diablo games....which I liked a great deal...and a few others.
What I am looking for (which might not exist yet) is an Android game that is RPG strategy with less emphasis on first person shooter (don't mind this, but don't want to play Resident Evil or XBox games that are all first person shooting games).
I also liked Sim games somewhat, but was hoping to find something like... Myst (which is an oldie I realize, but I am considering the Android platform) or maybe Diablo 1 or 2. Or, of course, but I know impossible, something like Skyrim... Something where I can immerse a character in a story and try to find clues/weapons/etc. toward completing an ultimate over-arching game goal (solve murder, prevent evil group takeover, or whatever).
I like the fantasy R&D themed games, but a modern storyline would be really cool.
Amy help is greatly appreciated!

How much does it cost? I'm just curious, and the Play page doesn't say, and none of the reviewers are, either. Looks good, though. This plays like a Zelda game?
To the OP: I've been playing games on Gameboid, a GBA emulator. It's not in Google Play, you have to go to the SlideMe market (web-based, you download the .apk and sideload it). I find it runs the GBA version of Zelda 3 better than the Super NES emulator runs the original, and the GBA version actually fixes a few things. So I've played that, and also the Castlevania games on my phone. Controls could be better but aren't terrible.

Ok thanks a lot for the responses.
I was looking around on the market and saw GTA3. I actually never played this (I hear it is a port of the original) but spent many hours of my life playing Driver on PS. The thing that I wanted to ask about which GTA3 brought to mind was off the games mentioned, one element that I was looking for (if the 3D is pretty good ...GTA3 really surprised me) is detailed and/or extensive environments. I loved Skyrim and virtually any MMO for this reason (but it doesn't need to be multi-player)... I think that's why adventure games always were the most interesting... In contest to FPS games anyway. Just the endless exploration of the game world...to me that is escapism at its best.
I am trying most of the games mentioned here in this thread, but if the above additional info triggers anyone's recollection of any others... please let me know!
Thanks,
Syntropic

Just sharing, and if you want to thank anyone for finding this game thank TLRtheory. I am a huge fan of Kemco's RPG games for our phone and saw this listed on TLRtheory's website (xperiaplaygamer.net)
So.... thank TLRtheory for finding this, not me.

I would like to thank TLRtheory for his dedication to his work at his website and for his continued vigilance to scour the ends of the internet searching for games that utilize our underappreciated, yet kicka$$ phone. Thank you TL!
Yeah this is WAY better than everything else Kemco released on Android... even Aeon Avenger and Symphony of Eternity.
They certainly do have a knack for RPGs that maintain 80% and up in quality ratings :\
...AND THIS MUSIC!!!!! It's a wet dream for video game music lovers like myself

My problem was actually that Eve of Genesis' final boss was disappointingly weak.
Now, when we get to the post-game content you get an additional final boss sequence which is completely goddamned insane. I had to be on Lv135 to beat the *real* final boss.

My problem with these games is that people describe them as merely "solid", "well put together", "really fun", etc. But if I'm going to invest dozens of hours into an RPG, I dunno, I'd rather play one of the many untapped masterpieces on an emulator.
