[?] Black contact-book like in many themes - Asus Transformer TF700

I'd like to have a black and blue contact book like the one I have uploaded.
How can I do that?

Anyone who know how to get a black phonebook with white text yet?
Tried to download other phonebook apps from the market, but my device is uncompatible.
I am rooted.

Once I saw a black orinverted google apps package somewhere on xda,but I could not find it again.
Anyway I'm interested too. Also in dark mail app

maybe once this device gets farther along in development and gets cm9 or cm10 then there are a few inverted gapps packages like what your asking. this kind of stuff does not happen overnight. if you would like you could try to push an inverted contacts app to /system using adb but no promises it would work as well as the stock one and i dont even know where you could find one. good luck

I can help you with the black mail-app.
Try the K9-mail tablet conversion: Kaiten mail.
Its a super app.
Should be on the Great apps for TF700 thread

Anyone know if we can get the gmail app from ICS? I saw it on the transformer thread with people saying its working
I guess they pulled it from system dump

I just tried the apk from system dump and it doesn't work.
Someone else might have had better luck though...

That one only works on tablets... some one had a thread i forget where but it had a list of what works with phones and what works with tablets. Some will also install like the new google search bar but it force closes when you try to use it. Ill see if i can find the thread and post a link

Hey guys, does the ICS Gmail support Superstars? These are the extended stars that the desktop web Gmail has, i.e. yellow star, red star, blue info, etc. Gingerbread Gmail shows all stars as yellow stars which makes the Superstars less useful overall.

How to copy asus mail wdiget ?

Asus has this really nice mail widget that simply shows the number of unread messages. I have a 7.7 inch tablet I'd like a similar widget. Checking google play I see nothing similar; so is there an easy way for me to copy this widget from my infinity to my other tablet ?
Here you go: http://www.4shared.com/android/JCo37VEL/EmailWidget.html
Alternatively, you can copy it from /system/app/ yourself.

I havent used this app. Is it better than the built in Gmail or K9? Gmail has been giving me problems lately, so i installed k9 and its pretty good.

It's a widget, not an app itself. But if you're asking about ASUS E-mail app, it's pretty OK, too, I prefer GMail though (better thread-handling et al.). BTW, Wizz widgets are pretty cool for these agenda views (especially the [half-]transparent mode).

Thanks! I think I'll try to copy it myself when I get back in town and if that fails then use the copy you made available. It's such a simple widget I was surprise I couldn't find anything like it on google-play. All I could find where the widgets taht show your messages (not great for security).

I tried installing the widget it self and it refused to install; I suspect it needs the asus mail client (which is not a bad thing) but I have not tried to install both the mail client and the widget (yet).
I probably needs to be pushed to system/apps

yes, adb push or simply copy within the device (and set permissions as a rule of thumb)

where's google now?

I thought it was going to be included witht 4.1.1, but i don't see it after the update, and it's not on the market either... What am i missing here
Long press the Home button and you should see a circle with "Google" in it. Select that and Google Now opens.
I didn't even think about that... Does anyone know if it's in the gapps zips? I don't think it is, since maps wasn't in the zip I flashed.
Look in your apps list too for a blue icon with a white letter g just labelled "Google". That's Google Now.

I figured that out after I made my reply. Lol.
You can also launch it from the lock screen or the Google search bar.

I'm still trying to figure out how this all works. It seems like it works better on a phone, than my Transformer Pad, for me... The scheduling and other features are something I access on my phone, but not my pad.

Apk's won't install

I'm running Clean ROM Inheritance 3.2.1 and I can't get apk's to install. Specifically Asus MyFrame and the email widget (it has oddly disappeared). After I run them it always finishes with "X app not installed". Any one know why? Thanks.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app
These are both apps/widgets that are included in the main AROMA install of CROMI -- did you select them in the installer? Check in system/app if the apk files are there -- you cannot install a user app if an apk with the same name is present in the system/app folder. This is the first step I can think of right now --not much, sorry -- but if you give it a try and then report back in, we'll take it from there. Someone far more knowledgeable than me will come in eventually.
Sent from a comfortable chair from the outer ring of Purgatory. The red guy asked me to say 'hi'.
As Marty says you shouldn't need to install these - they are part of the installer in CROMI.
What are you actually trying to do?
I had the email widget after installing 3.2.1. Then after installing Bacon Reader for reddit from the play store the desktop icon got placed where the email widget was and the widget vanished. It is no longer listed as an installed widget.
I did select myframe during the CROMI setup but it does not show up in the list of installed apps.

Right, first My Frame will never show up - it is accessed by going into live wallpapers
Now onto your other issue - are you using the stock launcher? I suspect not as asus widgets don't play nicely with some other launchers. The fact you said another icon got placed over the top sounds like you are using Nova or Apex with allow widget overlapping turned on.
I'm using the JB 4.2 launcher

Yep that'll be the issue - Asus widgets don't like the non stock launcher especially if you change from the default DPI settings.
Try it on the Asus Stock launcher and I bet you won't have an issue
I'll just find a new email widget. That one took up to much real estate for want it did anyway. Enjoying the JB 4.2 experience too much. Thanks for the help.

Asus Supernote 3.1.0 - Does it work on Infinity?

Hi,
I'm looking for a app where i can handwrite and the text conver for digital text (like Samsung S-Note).
After some search i've found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098807
So my questions are:
1- Will this app work on Asus Infinity?
2- Will Asus made the update of this app to turn possible the text recognition?
Best regards,
VGCC
Just tried it. Works. Could also import my old notes.
But it is not optimized for the large screen. Recognition does not work.
The font is even smaller than in supernote 1.55 and I have not found any way to resize it or zoom into.
Otherwise it is much better than version 1.55
Well it works. It's sort of like Super note version 1.1. It's nice that you can draw and write on the same bit of paper without having to insert a picture you draw separately.
Problems? Screen is too high res so it doesn't fill it properly and I couldn't figure out how to enable handwriting recognition.
If they updated this for the higher res screen it would be nice!
Thanks for your replies. I've tried, but happens all the things you said. I hope that ASUS made the upgrade on next stock rom.
Best regards
VGCC

Try "7 Note with Mazec" from the Play Store.
I think, that is the app you are looking for. l am writing this with a stylus. The app is a little pricey, but worth it in my opinion.
you can take handwritten notes and convert them to written text later or as you are writing, and you can also use this app as a text input method wherever you have a text entry field: Gmail, browser, search etc.
It installs as a custom keyboard so you can easily switch between keyboard and handwriting. It also does predictions and seems to get better the longer I use it!
This is my favorite writing method if I do not have the tablet in the dock.
It gets even better if you also use Keyboard Manager. I have Keyboard Manager activate the stock Asks keyboard when the tablet is docked, Swiftkey when undocked in landscape, and 7Note with Mazec when undocked in portrait.:good:

Yes I have bought 7 notes. It is an amazing app! That and FreeNotes give you Super Note on steroids. :good:
I'm unable to download the beta version of 7 note, says it is not compatible. Running clean rom 3.3...any ideas?

Set your dpi to 240
I'll have to flash for that right? Or does clean rom have a setting I'm not seeing? Thanks for the tip I really want to like this app!

You can either reflash which isn't really a problem as you will keep all your settings and apps if you don't do a wipe. Just choose everything again.
Or you can edit the build.prop in /system. Use es file explorer to open he file as text in es note editor and edit the very last line. Reboot and you will be at 240.
Yeah no dice... Changed build prop to 240 from 224 and still show incompatible. Thanks for the idea though! Any other ideas? It's weird because the free version had no problems.

Maybe its not compatible with our resolution. Have you emailed the dev? I've only used it on a nexus 7
Just went to the Store and it works fine. CROMI 3.4 213 DPI
That was my next option. Thanks dude!

Interesting, after flashing your 3.4 the apps is now available... You sir are awesome! Great work on the new rom, I prefer yours over cm.
