I have yet to find a ROM with the Sprint TV app. I have a friend that has this app on his blackberry tour and it is a fascinating app as you can watch full episodes of tv shows without lag. I tried using Miximo's ROM which featured this app but it does not work. What a bummer... If you know of any ROM that has this working app, please let me know. Peace to all. (Y)

For the Vodaphone 32B, This ROM was particularly slow for me and I did not see and Sprint TV app only Sprint Navigation and Nascar but no Sprint TV... I did not check if it was available as a widget... If it is available where can I locate it on the phone and if it is only available as a widget, does the Sprint TV app work and how well? Thanks

Hello? This has everything to do with development, this app is in the process of being developed DUH! I did not realize you wanted to be a moderator. You can think you are but in reality you are underdeveloped in the sense you have no business bringing your negative comments and dictating how things are run. Thanks for the update Eugene, that makes perfect sense. I suspected it was being blocked but I also thought it could have been an issue with coding because the Sprint Nav app works flawlessly on your ROM and is a valuable asset in my opinion. Well I guess I'll just have to wait and keep my fingers crossed until someone hacks it... The other reason I would like to see the Sprint TV app on the sapphire is because it would give more competition to those with Iphone 3Gs. I do feel slightly humiliated and obsolete when I'm hanging with my friends and they can watch lag-less TV on their Iphone's while I'm pretending the metal detector app on my sapphire works and I get laughed at. While this is all happening, I am reminded that we all have the same unlimited data plan, yet I paid more for my Magic and I have limited functionality in comparison. How sad... *Sigh*

Just so you guys know, this isn't an app you can pass around. Once you get the invite, its done through HTML5. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you dont get an invite, there will be no way to use it

Yeah we have seen that which is Google all over (the more in the cloud the better) but I have sent for my invite and according to sources they dish them out once a week. So fingers crossed...

I agree but I also think that although there will be a lot of crap there will be some really good stuff. Just that little spark of genius.
And personally I would like to build apps to help me out. Almost like macros.

I think because they are easy to code.

Currently there are technical limitations to being able to upload an App Inventor app to the Andorid Market but we are actively evaluating the best way to integrate with the Market.

Download the source from Google App inventor and find the code that gets detected and change it around a bit.
Thats how most things get past detection.
HOWEVER, I will not do this of course, I am going to use App inventor for personal apps or publish it out of the market.
I have a strange thing how I learn programming, I tend to learn more from examples of code and I have learned LUA(For Gmod) and PAWN(for AMXX) but those are scripting languages.
Some App inventor apps might be worth to be on the market.
There is already lots of messy apps out there but the rating system takes care of that.
I got my invite Monday but haven't got around to trying it out yet, but i don't think you'll be able to make complex apps with this i might take a look at it next week if i get a chance i'll let ya'll know if its really game changing or not .

So I started a site called zombiesaresexy.com and have wanted an app for it from day one.
The site is built on Wordpress and I just want a simple app that pulls in the RSS feeds and allows people to read the full post from the app.
I have tried App Inventor for Android but have no luck making heads or tails of it.
If anyone would want to help out (make it and share with me how its done) or just has a good framework for something like this that would be great.
Really, I have seen a lot of people wanting there own App this just pulls in the RSS from there site so I am amazed there is not a framework so people can just plug and play.
But any help would be great!

The only things I rally care about is that it has an icon, the app I have now just uses a slandered android icon

If you want to hire a developer to do it, you're probably looking at $1000 or more in the end. $50 doesn't really cut it.
Yeah I got a few quotes and the range was from $700 to $900.
Not really the money I want to spend just for having fun on a site so I thought I would ask here.
If I dont get any where with it I am ok with that and will looking it to making an app on my own latter down the road when I have time to learn what it takes.
But as you can see someone has offered to make me app. So I am happy with that and even tho he said he did not want money for it I will donate something thing.

I'm sure many of you are firmilar with evild's work on the n1, mt4g and other highend devices. I happened to flash his 3.0 rom on my wifes mt4g sand got to chatting with him. Hes interested in getting a g2x, so I told him id attempt to orchestrate a collection of funds to buy him a g2x. First things first, what will a no contract g2x cost? What is the cheapest anyone has seen one for sale off contract? Secondly, if anyone has an upgrade they are willing to donate, THAT WOULD BE PHENOMENAL! I'm good for $100 to start things off. That is why I hate xda bunch of free loading crack flashers that don't help the Dev. community just piss people off and whine for help when they get in trouble....... count me in for 20 bucks

Very good question... I can only assume so, since alot of his work is done with sense ui. I sent him a pm with the link to this thread, so as he reads through it, I'm sure he'll clarify on that.

Yea, I guess I didn't miss it all that much because I went straight from the n1 to the mt4g. So I almost immediately had evil support again lol.

have you been on the internet long? people are people. and you'll find people like that on any forum. i've seen people talking like that online since before the internet was mainstream. it's not only xda. there is no way to stop it. so just get used to it. but, i got your back on voicing your opinion as well. what xda needs is a dislike button. i've seen them on other sites. and after so many dislikes,your post gets hidden and members have to click "show" to see it.

People like you thinking it's ok to use these Roms for free without donating a dime is a FAIL!
These Devs work hard and long hrs. to make these roms for your phone to function and look better!
So a little donation wouldn't hurt for you to give!
Or better yet if you don't, don't bother commenting on it!
Don't look at it as paying for there phone, but rather an advance for work they are going to do for you!

Your idea is ingenious. I will take it up with a friend whose a mod here and see what he thinks. Not sure it will get too far but you never know.
That is a very good idea. Giving thumbs down to certain posters would warn other readers at this forum. It would also be useful against scammers who steal the Dev's work and pawn the mods as their own begging for donations. There was one on the Samsung Epic forum last year and on the Asus Transformer forum a few weeks ago.

I've been on the internet for awhile... a lot of forums and yes I know there are always negative people... I can be one of them... at times... but I hate how broad the ignorance on this site is..

I'm sorry to say but the original NeverAgain was a bit misdirected. In the end, it was T-Mobile who held up the update to support sales of the Galaxy S 4G, not Samsung who had already updated their international models to 2.2.1 by December and to Gingerbread as of now. I suspect this case should be the same as it is the carriers who determine if a update will be pushed. LG only makes the updates, but it has no say in whether or not it will be pushed to the G2X.
its a shame that the us has convinced so many to just sit and take it. people have forgotten the voice of the people works. whats annoying is when some ddecide to use this you get these people saying it wont work when there are so many examples of it working in the history of the us and business.
