Hi I'm unable to apply the OTA update from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1 due to a status 7 error on /etc/audio_effects.conf.
I've installed beats audio which seems to be causing the problem, ideally I'd like to remove it and revert the audio to stock but I cant find any information on how to do that, can anybody shed some light on whether its possible to revert beats, if not could somebody provide me with a copy of their audio_effects.conf file from a stock ICS build.

Thanks a million Ironia.
That got me past that file, now I need /system/lib/libSR_AudioIn.so do you have that as well?
I'm still unable to find a list of stock files that beats modifies so if, after reverting this file, I still have others to find I'll concentrate my efforts on extracting the contents of a stock ICS image. Right now the unyaffs.exe crashes when I try.
Thanks again
Your best bet is to fastboot flash system.img and boot.img from Google's factory images.
i quote rasengan82 , but anyway attached
up to you

Hi,
Im looking for original stock Camera apk. Im on sense 2.1, 2.3.3. I tired downloading different ROMs and extracting their camera apk to see if its the same but they are not. I also tried getting the RUU, extracting the ROM and using unyaffs to open the system.img but its not working for me. If anyone can provide me with the Camera apk I would appreciate it.
Thanks
EDIT: Never-mind I fixed the problem
ok, im running on latest insertcoin 5.5.0 with bricked kernel 1.1 and decided to go for stock kernel from stock zip rom. i extracted the "boot.img" from the rom.zip and flashed it with adb. rebooted and got a wifi error; wifi is trying to switch on but there is nothing to switch... after researching xda, i found a solution (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429787) that led me to the final solution which is to extract the original files from the zip rom located in <system/lib/modules> and paste them in the same location on the mounted system files on phone using a root explorer ("es file explorer"). the files were "bcm4329.ko" and "kineto_gan.ko". the instance i pasted the files wifi came on.
the thing i dont understand is why when i flashed bricked kernel 1.1 from recovery it didnt stick? i wiped cach, dalvik, fixed permissions ... whatever... only one problem contacts pics in stock msg app gone missing...
The drivers are compiled from source to match the kernel during it's compilation. All the kernels on here are flashed from recovery and include the matching drivers whether it be through Aroma installer or regular 4ext flash.
If you extract the bricked kernel zip file you'll see that the drivers are in there. He also released a flashable version of the stock kernel/drivers if you search the development section...

The first thing I need is a way to extract android applications from a KDZ file.
The second thing is a problem I have. I can't apply any JB themes. "This theme file is improperly compiled" is what I gt. I know they worked, I used them in ICS. I am running CM10 UNOFFICIAL JB rom you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901247
I would like to know a solution to the theme problem. Another thing is I need a flashable CWM zip of video codecs for JB.
Any help will get many thanks. ^_^
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone had figured how to bring Sony's stock ServiceMenu.apk to work in CM or other custom ROMs that don't have it?
ServiceMenu (*#*# 7378423#*#* from dialer on stock ROM) is very handy for battery test, GPS test, Compass test and calibration, all the Sony device-specific hardware tests.
I tried to make a recovery-flashable zip by extracting ServiceMenu.apk from stock ROM but it doesn't install. I did more searching to find it also depends on files in /system/etc/permissions and /system/framework so I also added those to the zip, but still fails to install.
Can anyone with better experience chime in? I think a flashable Sony ServiceMenu.apk zip would be useful for every custom ROM on Sony devices.
So far I'll attach my zip which puts all the files where they should be, but App does not install. Signing problem? Odex problem? Please any ideas
Hello, trying to debloat the phone I've removed the clock thinking that the android stock version had the same functionality. It did not. So, in order to get that back, I'll have to re flash the ROM but im too lazy to do that.
So, having the system partition file of the ROM, how can I mount it on Ubuntu and recover the APK of that app? And where is stored inside that image?
Or, it will be even better if someone can help by uploading the clock app apk from the global MIUI so I can use that instead of having to unpack it from the image.
Thanks
