FPse FTW! PS1 in the palm of your hand!

I just want to let people know what an awesome app FPse is. If you dont know what it is its a PlayStation 1 emulator. I had tried it out on my previous phone the MyTouch Slide but wasnt very happy with the performance. Using it with my G2x though is like holding a little Playstation in my hand. So far I have beaten Resident Evil Nemesis on it and I'm working on Metal Gear Solid and Road Rash 3D, both of which run beautifully on the G2x. No need for Tegra Zone games on here, I'd rather play full length PS1 games!

Is it comparable to PSXdroid?

i don't know about that last part buddy... i can't WAIT for Galaxy on fire 2 to drop. Played it on my itouch.. sold the itouch.. and i'm missing it bad. very good game with very good graphix. in the meantime the gameloft knock-offs are keeping me fairly entertained. LOL

Where can I get the app and is there **** a bios setup?

This emulator beats psx4droid hands down.

FPse is much better than psx4droid. The bios os avaliable online just google it. I find emuparadise to be the best rom site around. The only thing with roms on emuparadise is alot of them are .ecm file so u need to unecm them but that software is available on thier site

I need help I couldn't figure out how to use this app I download the Tom's but I can't seem to find the BIOS after extracting can some one give me a link for spyro

It might be better, but for the average user I think the "free" price tag of psxdroid sounds better

The price tag of free Is always good. Its always nice to support our app makers. It keeps them coming back to the android platform.
I tried both and fpse was way more polished. psx4droid only became free when It was pulled from the market.

I paid for psxdroid back when I owned an n1 and only received "updates" that worsened performance each time. Fsck psxdroid, I'm glad the dev got hosed.

The BIOS file is completely separate from ROM files. The same BIOS file is needed for all PS1 ROM files. I'm sure theres a rule against posting links to files like that so just google "scph1001.bin" and you shouldnt have a problem finding it.

also....
you can use your hdmi cable and play it on your hdtv! its like having a portable snes genesis n64 and playstation wherever you go! needless to say its pretty awesome

Download 7zip. Then right click the file and choose extract here. You have to do this on the pc.

Just an FYI.
Destroy Gunner SP (Paid), works awesome on the Nook Color (CM Nightly + CF 3d). I'm not sure if CF 3d is needed.
There was another user who posted that it didn't work on his Nook Color. Not sure why but I got it from the market with no problem.
Also put this on my Transformer and works as well.
The NC and Transformer play equally as well.
Highly addicting game. Great graphics.

Gunman Clive ( Xperia Play optimized )

One thing with me is that I love 2D platformers and this is one game I love. It's awesome proper Super Mario style gameplay.
I think this same developer has made Helium Boy which was a good game as well.

I agree but it's too short ! I want more levels added.

The music in this game is fantastic even though its like 2 tracks only i think....game is awesome!

Yup. I love platformers and I just hope that the developer adds more levels or releases a sequel.

Yeah mine does when on the highest setting. Just play it medium settings it still looks as good. I am on stock as well.
The beauty of this game is that it's a platformer and it works perfectly on the Xperia Play. Feel sorry for those people who play it on a touchscreen. It's rock hard !

And for some reason there's another version, 2.0 wich IS compatible..but why do we have to re-pay for the game?...

It surely taking times, i was installed one piece arcard for more than 30minutes, its apk size was 400++mb, i forget the actual size.. Anyway, good luck for it, waiting for review

I agree with DiKej in his first post - the game runs RIDDICULOUSLY smooth (high for every graphics setting and absolutely no lags at all!) and it's great. Gameloft guys should learn from these guys how to optimize the game. Another good game SCREAMING for Xperia PLAY touchpad support.
In my case 300+MB apk was installing for about 6 minutes (first attempt caused reboot).
Anyone has an e-mail for the developers? Maybe spamming their mailbox with optimization requests will be good strategy, huh?

Greetings Crescent Moon games. I already played through Aralon on my old iPod Touch more than a year ago, and that was the best iOS game I had ever played. Now I own an Xperia Play and I found out Aralon was released for Android on Amazon. Me, and the whole Xperia Play community, think that optimizing this game for our gamepad (including analog touchpads) would be the absolute best thing ever happened to our phones. That would be a true Elder Scrolls-like experience. I tried using apps like Joystick Center 6 and Game Keyboard with Aralon, but they don't work.

It seems like the only real issue is they don't have phones to test it out. Can we do something about that? Maybe a donation, or emailing sony, or even offer ourselves to test every beta optimized version. I'd do that.

Hmm... not trying to advertise my site here, but XperiaPlayGamer has a section especially devoted to developers who want to Xperia Play Optimize a game, but don't have a device to test on. It doesn't cover touch-pads but it could get it to a playable state on an essential basis. We could try e-mailing them that?

We *need* to email that to them. I'll take care of it. I also wanted to focus on the gamekeyboard fact about circle button working... i think it has to do with the relationship between the game and apps like that.
edit: he answered "wow thanks!!!" for his iphone. He seems really enthusiastic about this. If they manage to fully optimize this title, the Xperia Play will be on a whole new level, guys.

Stereoscopic 3D for Dead Trigger 2

Hi guys.
Wasn't sure where to put this but I thought it was pretty general.
After an app or mod that enables me to play almost any 3d shooter or game on my android phone through a headset like Google Cardboard.
I know Tridef exists, but it doesn't cover many games currently. I'm really after just Dead Trigger 2 at the moment. If anyone has any idea of what I could do, please let me know.

There are apps to play 2d normal movies in side by side 3d format.
There are apps to capture and play VR 3d images.
But there is no perfect app to play games in vr.
To play that. You have to get that game screen in side by side format.
And that is pretty not cool with a game like dead trigger 2 to play in fake 3d.
Just wait for technologies to do that the best way. Till the just enjoy 2d.
