Wow thank you so so much. This is amazing I've wanted this app for so long ever since I transitioned over to my Asus transformer. Your most certainly works on that device too. My only question is there a dictionary aspect to this app as well? On my original galaxy tab there was and I assumed there would be on the more modern gtabs too. Am I mistaken? Fantastic find, thank you.

This app alone was the main reason for not updating to ICS - JB
i tried many pdf readers but none is as good as this one
and works so well with all of then even when you have coff coff badly scanned books coff coff
Many thanks

Sorry man, I´m a NOOB.
Can you explain better what i have to do ?? In what folder is the file .epub ??? Can´t find it on ICS...(CM9)

EBook files are normally having extensions as. .epub.
Go to /sdcard/eBook/import.........there u can find the oz inbuilt eBook which is in .epub format.....
Download some .epub extension books online and then u can use the file manager method
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app

Ok, i´ll try it. THKS!

Don´t work...
I download a few ebooks with the .epub extension ( about 1.5GB in Portuguese ) put a few ones in sdcard/ebook/import... open the ebook program and nothing on the shelf beside the OZ book that came with the program...
What can i do more ?

Tried to install this app on my galaxy tab running JB, but when trying to install it fails...
Any idea whats wrong ?

I am also running jellybean cm10 and it,s working fine.....I installed it normally and the app was installed...works perfect......try installing it again....or push it in system/app in the root of our phone by using any explorer....also provide appropriate permissions...and reboot.....if still no progress then redownload the app

edit & sign ur apk "application not install problem" (for newbi)

hi,guys.. i know all of you wanna create or mod an android apps and wanna use it or share.
i think newb like me already tried to change the image files from res folder of apk but the problem is edited apk files just dont install,it always say application not installed, the problem is the apk isn't signed, you have to sign it.. most of newb dont know how to sign apk. so here is an android app "ZIP SIGNER" it can sign your apk file. in this app just input your edited apk and chose output location and press Sign, and your apk will be signed. and you will be able to install your edited apk...... so try it.

I think so too, here in Sweden Samsung is pretty heavy on the advertising for the note products and the last thing they want is bad publicity for their main party trick - the SNote. I did actually contact them by mail and after describing the problem I requested a "downgrade" file of some sort, preferably an apk. Even though I'm not very hopeful to get a apk file from samsung, stranger things has happened
Please do tell if you are more lucky than me in contacting samsung though!

The thing is, pinch to zoom and pan with fingers while in only SPEN mode have always worked and I don't really see any problems with that as long as it works at least most times which it did at previous versions. There are a couple of ways of implementing this, for example a minimum distance between the fingers and maybe only two fingers pan. These kind of algorithms seems all gone or destroyed, maybe after modifying it to add extra functionality.

Okay, that's kind of what I expected. I'm not that use to modding android apps, but as far as I can tell changing name the app so that the tablet doesn't see it as SNote but maybe "SuperNote" wouldn't be impossible? That way one would, at least in theory, be able to install the application just like any apk even with a Stock OS. Or maybe the problem is that it's impossible to even open the apk and make the changes?
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda app-developers app
I just tried it with rename the apk, but it still doesn't work. Further I think the key is, to find out which files are in corporate with Snote.apk and copy them all from the older firmware into the new.
So what we have to do is simply to find out which files Snote needs. Do you have an idea how to achive this?!

Here's a better way:
Use an app like "App Backup & Restore" from the Playstore. It will copy the apks to a folder on your SD card. You can then use a File Explorer to send those apks via Bluetooth. :good:
Try finding it in CM file manager.
I hope you find it!

original samsung ebook app

Hi all,
Just thought I would share my ebook app files from the original tab 10.1 that they stopped developing but which gave the best eboom experience on android IMHO. To install you unzip this (doesn't work as a flashable zip). Then you need to remove the myfiles apk from system app (called sec-tablet.my files) and replace it with the one from this zip. Then install ebook.apk as a normal app. Reboot your tab and enjoy!

Hi smegg,
I'm looking for the stock Ebook reader, version 3, for some time now. My tablet is on Android 4.1. So far I found two versions, one ebook, apk worked well but it's version 1.xx. The other one is version 3.xxx, it opens my books but does not show any "ç " or "Ç" (along with other missing accents).
I searched this thread but since it's old, the links are already broken....
Do you still have the tw flasheable version of this app? The app you have is at some 3.xxx versions?
Thank you!
mot sure mate, i'll have a look
Hey smegg,
Very thank you for your reply! Turns out I found a way to fix the newer version's app. I decompiled it and saw that it was using system font, droidserif.ttf. Turns out that this font in my tablet is zero size, more like a placeholder, i don't know...
Since I didn't wan't to mess with these, I opened the .smalli on the apk which called this font (smali\com\samsung\ebook\reader\settings\font.smali) and changed it to Helvetica.ttf. Recompilled it with apktool and gave it a try. Don't have the correct MyFiles, apk so I have to import books by clicking on them from any explorer. Apart from that, it's all working very fine! =)
