So any word on the 3G version?

Supposedly Q4 (in Europe). Someone mentioned Q3 in the US earlier, but as TF700T was released in Europe first, I'm not sure what are the chances it's going to be otherwise in this case.

[Q] NS Release date in ASIA?

Does anyone know the release date for NS in Asian countries? Really looking forward for this one..
Looks like NS is coming to India soon.. That too for INR 24,000. This is 4000 less than the SGS!!!
infibeam.com/Mobiles/i-Samsung-Nexus-S-Android-Smartphone/P-E-M-Samsung-Nexus-S.html?id=Black
what about other countries beside India?
UK / Europe already launched
it'll be just a matter of time before it reaches Asia
Nexus S is listed in flipkart site as well. So this is indeed a good news for NS fans in India. But no confirmation on the release date though!!!

Ironically enough the Nexus S may not get to Korea as they want to add "value", i.e. force their crapware on their customers.
http://wwwery.com/10919-nexus-s-korea.html
But wont the unlocked phone get released in Korea? If not, this is a sad news since Samsung is a Korean company..

Any news on the release date of NS in countries apart from US and UK?

To me this just confirms that the Nexus S is a very good product for the end-user. Not so good for the carriers perhaps, but who cares about them?

À swedish guy from asus that is active in asus threads on most big forums in Sweden told us to NOT wait for 3G version. Hes very carefull and always use words like "if it comes" and "a potential 3G version".
I wont hold my breath for it.

Afaik, there was never a 3G version announced in the first place.
When ASUS demoed the tablet as CES, they mentioned 3G. A bunch of sites have also said that 3G will be coming after the initial launch, but no-one has any dates or anything.
Tentatively Q3 for UK AND/OR 2-3 months after the Wifi release.
Digitech.ch was supposed to get them by late June but now they are showing as mid July.
3G model does exist. But you may end up waiting way in August to get it. Almost the same for Galaxy Tab 10.1 too.

[Q] Import phone - MotoX - Using UK Sim

Hey all,
This is a bit of a speculative question as in theory we don't know what is happening until tomorrow.
But rumors at the moment from Handtec in the UK state the MotoX won't be available for sale over here.
So my question is, assuming this is true and the MotoX is available tomorrow but only in the US what sort of things do I need to be aware of if I want to import the phone.
The handset seems like its going to be unlocked from the beginning so I assume I shouldn't have any issue using a UK sim.
If its US only, will I find it hard to track down a supplier who will actually send to the UK?
Anyone imported a phone to the UK from another country got any advice?

I don't think this will be available in USA. But may if you buy it as an International phone for some $600+ this might work on AT&T. I need advice on the LTE data bands. I saw somewhere AT&T uses band 17 (700MHz) for LTE which I don't see in this phone. Not sure. But somewhere I have gut feeling this works with AT&T 100% right out of the box. Voice works for sure but data is what I doubt. I get 30Mbps download and 12 Mbps upload on my AT&T LG G2 here in Dallas Texas. Some times I get even more up to 50 Mbps download. Can Mate 7 (International) do the same?
Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

If Mate 2 supports AT&T LTE, Mate 7 should do it too.

This may be a "duh" question, but if it supports AT&T's network does that mean it will support T-Mobile's network as well? As both are GSM?

Yes Voice works for sure. But LTE bands not sure. T-mobile has AWS 12, 4, and 2 bands for LTE. My knowledge is limited only to so much. I don't see band 12 in the phones compatibility list. So can't tell if 4 and 2 are good enough.
Same goes for AT&T LTE bands (2,4, and 17). I don't see band 17 in the phones compatibility list. So can't tell if 4 and 2 are good enough for LTE. I too need an expert advice on this.
But the attached article above about Mate 2 in USA suggests the phone working with AT&T and T-mobile LTE bands. If Mate 2 can do it Mate 7 can do it too.

T-Mobile mostly use the 1700 (4) and 1900 (2) for 4G if I remember correctly. I don't think that the 700 (12) is up and running yet. I guess we'll have to wait until someone actually gets their hands on one and tries it for any real confirmation. But I have a strong suspicion that the AM7 will work on T-Mobile's network without any issue.
Huawei specifically released the Mate 2 in the US and included the bands for the US. So, don't assume unless it specifically lists the correct bands. Without full band support, I would not buy.

Agreed. I did read that they created GetHuawie.com specifically to sell the mate 2 to US customers. If they wanted to expand to the US with the Mate 2, I am "hoping" that it is a no-brainer that they will quickly do the same with the Mate 7 since that will surely be much more of a hit. I want one...

Think about it this way, the longer we wait, the more issues will be surfaced in the initial release of this device. The wait shouldn't be too long, but the bootloader might become unlocked, a few ROMs get made for this, I see only positives in waiting for a US-compatible version.
The price may even go down because by then there will be more on the market by then.

Has there been any confirmation about whether the bootloader is locked or not?
Edit: I checked what the package includes and the following was in the list > 4G:FDD-LTE:B1(2100MHz)/B3(1800MHz),TDD-LTE:B41(2555-2575MHz)
It supports FDD which is in use in the US and Canada but not the bands we use
Hey, no big deal. One thing the Mate2 did, at least for me, is made me realize, you don't need a super duper pixel screen and a screaming
processor to be a fast device. I came from a Note1, unlocked to the Mate2 and was blown away how good it actually is.
Clear bright screen, fast, responsive, no issues, even on JB4.3. I'm not a pixel peeper or one that tries to squeeze every drop of performance to make my benchmark scores look good. If it is stable and runs, it's good enough for me.
Unless the Mate7 has a similar price point to the Mate2 (which I doubt), I'll stick with the Mate2, even if the software doesn't get updated to 4.4
Heck, I left my note1 on 4.1.2 because it was STABLE.
right now for me it's either between the mate 7 and the new nexus that may or may not be coming out. Honestly while i slightly favor the Nexus line, i had a mate 2 for a while and was very satisfied with it especially the battery life. For me it's all about price, if there will be a release for the U.S and the price is right i'll wait for the mate 7 but if there is no info by the time the Nexus is said to come out then i might get that. Lost my mate 2 so i'm using burner phones at the moment. Saving my money for either or, i want the mate 7 more than the nexus but i'm almost sure that the mate 7 will cost more than it's predecessor.

Huawei Mate 9 on Sprint network in US?

I have been excited about this phone coming to the US for some time now, long time fan of the + sized Galaxy Note range. I can't find any straight answers about if the Mate 9 will work on Sprints 4g network or not at this point. If there is no simple Yes/No answer to that I would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction outlining the steps I may have to take. Thanks everyone!
Unless there is a sprint-specific version released, you could expect 4G data but no phone calls in the very best case scenario, and no data, no phone calls in the very worst scenario.

I see. So it sounds like I should give up on having one of these as it seems the best case scenario involves a phone that can't make calls.
I would wait to see what happens when it's released in the US. The Kirin 960 is CDMA compatible, but I believe it still has to pass certification to use it in the US.

Sprint doesn't use CDMA I have heard so it's looking grim for me on that network, maybe I'll consider changing to a different network, well see what happens Jan 6th but we're pretty close already and no good news on that front.
January 9th is supposed to be the official North American release, so you could just wait until then to see if what models are released. Not too far away really. But it is unlikely that a Sprint-compatible version will come out. Time to decide what you want more, the Mate 9, or to be a Sprint customer? If you're were willing to pay full price for the phone anyway (which I'm assuming you were), why not switch to AT&T or T-Mo prepaid?

I may switch, the reason to stay is actually a pretty good one and that's that as long as I'm on Sprint my phone bill is pretty much free month to month. I want this phone badly but maybe not bad enough to give that up

As I mentioned earlier, the hardware is capable. But this quote from Anandtech questions when it will be certified:
"It should be pointed out that CDMA certification for the US via the FCC takes 18-24 months, and I was unable to confirm when the process was started, so we may have to wait another year for a US-focused CDMA devices."
