[HOW TO] Port MIUI gingerbread rom to any device

Here is a guide to port MIUI gingerbread roms to any device.
Requirements
CM 7 rom for your device
MIUI rom of any other device having similar resolution as your device
First extract your CM 7 and the other device MIUI rom in different folders.
Open the system folder in the CM 7 rom and delete the app,media and framework folder
Now open the system folder in the extracted MIUI rom and copy the app,media and framework folder and paste them in the system folder in the extracted CM 7 rom.
Now make a zip by selecting the contents of the CM7 rom.don't select the folder.
Now reboot into recovery
Wipe all
Disable signature verification
Install rom and enjoy the beauty of MIUI
This rom will have the bugs present in your CM 7 rom

simple question my friend, i'd like to try port miui gingerbread to my samsung galaxy wonder GT-I8150, but, my device doesn't have cm7 already, just cm9, but camera still under development . . .

U can port a gingerbread rom only if u have cm7.if u have cm9 for ur phone then u can port miui ics.but ics porting guide is different

I have rom2.3.4 for my phone and I have 2.3.7 for a similar device.
Can I port 2.3.4 rom to 2.3.7 and make it bootable?

No.u can only use cyanogenmod and the android versions of both cm and miui should be same

Oh.. coz i tried this method on galaxy r.. using galaxy s2 miui.. it got stuck at the samsung logo while booting.. can u help me.. why is dis happening?

I used galaxy r cm7 nightly by epsylon.. and i used galaxy s2 from miui site.. stuck at samsung logo

Try another phone's rom having the same res.ported miui rom when used as miui base gives better results than official miui roms

That's strange it worked for me i tried many times and many different roms and different phone.Check of the processor of the two phones are same or not

And i have Xperia pro, ported Miui from VERY smilair devices [Arc, neo] but stuck at boot logo. i also think its not as easy as your tutorial, but you say it works by you? Plz add some details! Thanks~~!

I don't think you can port miui rom just like this... You will need to exchange few libs and more stuff to make it work... I saw a guide somewhere try searching for it i will post link when i find it...
Edit: you will need to change few lines in build.prop and one lib something like lib.something.runtime.... Thats all i remember... Will post link soon...

BASE and PORT both ROM have same CPU resolution are different

Can any of guys please tell me.any custom rom for this mobile. Which make the look better like ICS. I tried Cynogenmod but it was very slow and i could able to use camera. So i removed it. If any of u have any idea pls let me know..

There won't be any camera until you can get the drivers working, and given the Galaxy Ace's specs, I wouldn't expect it to run ICS well anyway.

If it's just about the ICS look just use Holo Launcher and Holo Locker to get the ICS/Jelly Bean look, but keep in mind it isn't a ROM and thus it won't give you things such as face unlock, multitasking or Google Now.

[Help] No internet! P725 custom rom!

Hello guyz!
I am making a custom rom for p725 ,p720h and p720 a.k.a optimus 3D max.
Just added update script to the stock system and boot.img.
And flashed using cwm recovery!
Everything else working but unable to connect mobile internet!
Help needed.

I was also curious to know if it would work the rom the CUBE for 3d MAX

Well, the source code is already available, now 3D MAX owners have to start working on it.

I am having exams right not.
I was going to start working on ics on optimus 3D max but have very less time.
And i even don't know how to unbrick if phones is bricked.
If there will be any way to unbrick 3D max i will start ASAP

Was on ICS Oxygen. Just flashed GingerDx for a change, but I find the Oxygen ICS is one of the snappiest ICS ROM for P500. My next change would be Hep's CM9 tomorrow....weekends are for a flashing spree !!!
