For me it automatically shows me. Just swipe out the notifications which are not important for you. For example it tells me traffic to home notification and when I swipe it starts showing weather after few min.

Turn off google now and then turn it on... it'll display weather in notifications

For me, it started showing up only after I asked it what the weather was going to be like. Now the weather is in my notification tray automatically. I think same goes for sports and traffic when you leave your home.

Press the "Search" shortcut to launch Google Now, then go in the parameters of the app via "Menu", choose "Google Noew" and there is a "On/Off" or "Yes/No" switch in the upper right corner (in the "title bar").

How to get current weather conditions directly on the home screen

Next to the Google search shortcut on your main home screen, my Pixel shows date and day. I see others shows weather. How to change that?
You need to go to google now and set it to keep updating you on weather conditions:
1. Swipe to the utmost right on home screen to reach google now (now called Feed, whatever...)
2. Swipe right once again to access the "hamburger" menu
3. Choose customise, then Everything else
4. Choose Yes for the following options:
Interested in weather updates for home?Interested in weather updates for work?Interested in weather updates for your location?Continue to get weather updates?
This will make the weather card visible in the Feed which will automatically make the homescreen widget display the weather info
I did all that but still doesn't show up. It worked before but since I factory reset the phone it doesn't show up any more. Any advise?
Does the weather card appear on the feed though? Ou need to make it appear on the feed first. There's a switch in the Feed settings about weather, maybe that's turned off in your phone?
I've got everything on, and it's showing in the feed, But not on my home screen

In my case, turning those options on (I had them off) instantly enabled the weather in the homescreen. Have you tried a restart after setting those options to yes?

You need to update the Pixel Launcher. I had to update it via a PC as it was not working on the play store on my phone.
Installed it on my phone through the PC and it updated the weather within seconds.

Oh yeah, good shout! I updated mine too
Update through Play store on internet, pushing it again to the pixel phone triggered the update on the pixel
Thnx all
I updated all those except for location at home & work (those just seem repetitive with "my location" marked as yes) & it showed up for me.

must have apps for unrooted ?

Hey all, since we don't have root or custom ROM's yet, what are some of the must have apps to add additional functionality you find missing from your favourite roms? Things like additional tiles for the notification tray, etc. I'm looking for whatever you can't live without!
@mikeandjaimie
Immersive mode is cool, especially for video/games:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/razer-phone/how-to/tip-immersive-mode-root-required-t3714812
An Ad blocker is #1 on my list, whether rooted or not.
For unrooted,I go with Block-This:
https://block-this.com/
Real easy to use:
1) Choose whether to have auto-start on boot
2) Whitelist on a per-app basis

Yes, that's what I do. The phone vibrates but nothing happens.
I'm on UK 3 branded, so maybe it's been disabled in some way.

Didn't open anything but "settings" for me but then when I scroll down the menu ,it is above "about phone" and below "developer options"
Also I noticed my settings icon also has a wrench on it. I held it again and turned it off just to test, then I was able to turn it back on and even got a toast pop-up saying congrats it's enabled...

Question WTF is this little stick figure icon on the left/notification side of my status bar? UPDATE, screenshots and found out what it is

Every now and then I'll see a stick figure icon on the left side of my status bar by the clock and on the lock screen/aod in a bubble.
when I unlock the phone or pull down the notification panel any info disappears.
Anyone know what this little guy is for and how to get rid of him?
and the screenshot is.................? kinda hard to help if we don't see what it is..
The only icon I can think of that resembles a stick figure is the SMART THINGS icon.

It;s a stick figure, like the stick figure that was coming up on peoples nav bar on 8's and 9's for accessibility settings
it looks JUST LIKE THIS ONE IN THE PINK CIRCLE without the dots under it but its a icon by the clock
When you need a hug. Push this. That makes you more accessible.
here are screeenshots, I got it in action.
It has something to do with one of the apps I enabled in accessibility mode.
Anyway to stop the "check access settings" little guy notification from coming up

If you tap on the icon and bring up that app's notification settings, there may be an option to never notify for accessibility notifications.

Thanks, no clue then. It must be one of the apps, maybe the Galaxy HZ app having access to screen as it shows the stick figure in the notification as well. Check the app in Accessibility settings and try disabling it.
Also, what is the other app with moon and glowing clock? (screenshot attached)..looks cool

Weather neon, TONS of customizations for it, from dozens of widgets of all sizes down to changing colors of every piece individually.
that's just the notification one I liked but there are a ton more, and a big main one with different clocks
it's worth checking out, some stuff is iffy with it tho

My stickfig has a purpose, I can dim the screen at night or brighten it up. The icon comes up when you slide out the 'stick'. You can park this feature anywhere, to enable go to 'visibility enhancements' >>'extra dim'(screenshot is from S22)
So I'm guessing you can disable your stick figure somewhere there as well.

Question Pixel 7 Pro Notifications?

Can someone walk me through this? Totally new to Pixel phones. Been using LG for the last 10 years.
I have Nova Launcher installed and it seems to be working properly with no issues.
I'm getting written notifications on my lock screen whenever a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to posts a new video. I don't want that. (This is happening on most of my apps)
In the past with the LG, i'd just get a tiny colored bubble with a number on the app's icon on my home screen. That's what I'm trying to accomplish with the P7P. Is there a way to get the phone to do this?

I've tried that on the lock screen, and it takes me to a page asking me if I want to unsubscribe from notifications from that YouTube channel. Is this correct? I do still want to get a bubble on the app's icon on my home screen letting me know I have unseen content.

Hmm, I don't think so. Have you tried it once you've unlocked the lock screen? Please see screenshot.
Didn't make a difference.
If "notifications “ are turned off, will I still get the little dot on the app icon?
Ok, I may have an idea.
In the notifications settings area....
Pic below, set hide silent notifications from the lock screen. Then long press the notification in the status bar and set them to silent.
They will still show in your status bar and app icon.
Downside to my plan is if you have, for example, text messages set to silent they will no longer show on lock screen if you want that.

Yes, at the bottom of the list of notications, there is an option to have the dot separately.

Question AOD notifications

Sorry, me again!
I'm working on the notifications, and how to get them coming through, I'm on MIUI 14 now. I've got the always on display set to 'on' and to show notifications. But they don't seem to be showing for some reason.

Probably not very useful for your case but on MIUI13 I have no problems with AOD notifications. everything appears there.
Have you enabled all the apps in Settings>Notifications and Control Centre>Lock Screen ?
I think they are connected with the AOD ones...

I popped out for a bit this morning, and Strangly, I had a missed call, and text notification waiting for me. Seems to take a bit of getting used to the notifications on this, some apps only notify when I open them, even if they're set to lock screen.

MIUI Battery optimizations...
You need to disable this for every app you need consistent notifications. Hold your finger on the app icon and then select App Info. Then scroll down until you see " Battery Saver" Change it to " No Restrictions" for all the apps you need. Also from that page, you can enable the Autostart option
