I was wondering, I've been trying to download the ParanoidAndroid ROM but every browser I use loops in a failed/downloading message on the downloads app. I have used stock ics browser, dolphin HD, and chrome.

lg optimus one
either /data/app
/system/app
or if you use Froyos "move application to sd" it would end up in the .android_secure folder on your sdcard. If that's the case you'd have to move them back in Settings->Applications

I was getting some force close when trying to read a pm in tapatalk..so I uninstalled tapatalk & xda..then there was an update for titanium,,at that point the phone seemed to hang, so I rebooted the phone and then it would give me multiple force close of just about every app..keyboard force close etc...& some icons at the top of the screen that I have never seen before..ie a circular battery icon..
I was able to boot into rom manager..but not sure what to do next? Don't want to make it any worse..lol

Thanks.. Just don't understand why.... I don't know if this started with talkapk, it was force closing when I was trying to open a pm.. or if it was titanium or supersu?

Fixing force close issues
The best thing to do for force closes is to go into ROM Manager, scroll down to where you see "Fix Permissions" and run them. It fixes force close problems all the time for me

Thanks, but the phone was at the point where it was unusable... The only functionality was with the volume & power buttons... Lesson learned... Along with Titanium do a CWM backup weekly... It's amazing how much you can change on your phone, without realising it!

Sense the last verizon update I can no longer install any ap or content from the internet. Not even from XDA. I can download the files, but when I try to install nothing happens. I never had this issue before. Im not looking forward to the verizon version of the ICS update as im sure more things will be screwed up. I downloaded the amazon ap store, cant install, and the play store update from XDA today, no luck to install it either. All settings are set to alow outside installs. If there is an ap stopping out of market installs it had to come from verizons last update. As I have been following XDA now through the dink 1 and the TB and never had this issue before. Im not tech savey enough to root my phone, even though it sounds easy enough with all the instructions from XDAs fine people. I have a motorola zoom 4.0 wifi only and it downloads and installs everything just fine. Thats why I keep thinking its from verizons update. Any suggestions?

Odd though it may sound, this fixed it for me WAAAY back when bjust before I rooted. Brute force perhaps (as it may have only been the .android_secure folder that was toast), but it worked.
I'm trying to update CWM in order to be able to see my sd card on a rootbox rom I'm trying to dl... I want to update without having to plug my phone up to a pc. Any suggestions would be appreciated... Rooted SGS3 on Verizon. Thanks!

If you downloaded from the CWM website, it downloads as an img file not a zip. If its an img file, yes it will work.
I wemt to the website and wasn't able to dl the img file... Clicked on the Verizon SGS3 version and it showed a whole bunch of code... Nothing dl into my phone... Sorry for being a noob but how am I to transfer that code on my phone???

if you "long press" in dolphin, it'll give you an option to "Save Link." For some reason, sometimes, it just opens the file in html and displays it on the webpage and sometimes it doesn't.
Ever since I uploaded from 4.0.3 ICS my phone has been getting "stuck"... The screen gets crazy if I touch it, the other buttons won't respond. The only way I seem to fix it for like 2 minutes is by locking it and unlocking it... When I bough it, it came with 4.0.3... Since then I moved from ROM to ROM...
4.0.3=>4.1.2
4.1.2=>4.2 Cyanogenmod
4.2=>4.1.2
4.1.2=>4.0.4
4.0.4=>4.3.1 BeanStalk
4.3.1 BeanStalk=>4.3 PAC
4.3 PAC=>4.3.1 BeanStalk
4.3.1 BeanStalk=>4.1.2
I left cyanogenmod because I didn't liked the look of my phone and because I wasn't able to play some of my favorite games.
I left BeanStalk because the camera.app kept crashing and forcing reboot.
I left PAC because the keyboard wouldn't show up and I wasn't able to finish the set up.
I left 4.0.4 because some apps were too new for it.
On 4.1.2 I get a lot of times stuck, but in other ROMs (even on Stock 4.0.4) the frequency of stucks were less...
I'm sorry for my awful english. I am from Argentina.
I'm really freaking out because each day my cellphone gets stuck even more!
Flash back to stock and if you still have problems it's probably a hardware problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26056924

I am on stock. I placed 4.1.2 without any name because I was trying to say "stock. Not a custom". But if it worked before perfect on 4.0.3. How is that possible? I mean my phone fell a couple of times but from by bed... I don't think it would harm it a lot since I have a carpet...

Oh sorry I didn't understood before. Maybe it's screwed but the thing is that in BeanStalk it didn't got stuck but I wasn't able to use the camera. Also it didn't got stuck in PAC but the keyboard wouldn't show up and display error messages all the time. I might go back to 4.0.4 since it works better than 4.1.2 (in my case).
