hello all,
sorry if this has already been covered, but im having trouble getting the background of my widgets to extend to the entire span of the screen. the backgrounds seem to just stop 0.5mm short of the left and right side of the screen. is there a fix for this? or is this a limitation of the htc one???
Im running apex launcher if that helps =)
oh yeah.. to be alil more specific... im using minimalistic text and ive added a semi-transparent background.. i cant seem to get this background to extend all the way to the left and right edge of the screen no matter what i try...

Hi mst_mugen, in the apex launcher settings there is an option to manage the width of the margin. You should set it to none. That should fix your problem.
done!!! thanks heaps for that and much appreciated =)

Hey, i just wanted to start a thread about LauncherPro themes. i change my phone's appearance alot so i wanted to see other people's ideas. please post ur dock backgrounds and app icons! here are screenshots of my phone
btw, im using lockbot pro for the lockscreen
Here's mine.
Only the main screen here -- found some nice, minimalist icons. Not using an icon background atm.
Anyone have good sources for high quality icons?
Hey - any reason you're using LockBot for that lock screen? You could get the exact same lock screen without needing the extra app by simply removing the "HtcLockscreen.apk" (if you're rooted, of course). Check around the Themes area for more info about the vanilla lockscreen.
I know this isn't really launcher pro, but I ripped the launcher icons out of here to use with LP.

I recommend you don't remove the HTC lock screen. From what I understand it will screw up the alarm clock.
No Lock is an app that does a great job of disabling the HTC lock.
Here's a few I've put together. Red dock by prodigy2007.

Look at my post, I posted a port of Rusty Metal some where in the T/A section.
The thread to start what everyone is proud of using Launcher Pro/Plus with the Sprints Hero!

My setup
My setup. I only take credit for the dock background, battery icon, and notification dropdown list.
Nissan, is that a theme with the text instead of icons? Reminds me of Rainmeter.
I use LPP, but the icons are totally stock. I only got it for the twitter widget. That's the only thing I missed about Sense, but I don't have to deal with it anymore. I have a recurring issue that comes up every few days, where it force closes, but I'm not really sure what's causing it, and haven't been able to figure it out.

Well the ROM itself is CM6 Stable, I just tweaked it a bit by theming the Notification bar and dropdown list. The icons in the dock, however, were not my work. I found them while I was browsing the net for custom Launcherpro dock icons a few months ago. I cant really remember where I got them from though...
The desktop icons that you see (market, xda, etc...) are from Signals23's Neue theme which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799623 then I just used Desktop Visualizer (which can be found in the market) to add the icons to the desktop and used the widget resize function built into Launcherpro Plus to change the size of them. However, all of the icons in my app drawer are completely stock.
As for you force closure problem, I find that a bit odd. I don't use any Launcherpro widgets so I have no idea why it would be doing that. might be something you should ask in the development section. the guys in there are geniuses, unlike myself

Can someone please identify the widgets that I circled in red on this screen shot? I found the screen shot on an CM7 theme, and I have searched everywhere for it, so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Bottom weather widget is definitely Beautiful Widgets.
I'm going with minimalistic text for the top one
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
I think the clock is wpclock
OK, y'all were right, the top one is minimalistic and the bottom one is beautiful widgets. one more question, anyone know how to make that horizontal line that separates them? lol
Maybe this line is on the wallpaper?
This is probably a newb question, but I wasn't able to find it through searching: Is there a way to fit more icons on the screen in Touchwiz (like maybe a 5x5 layout w/ 5 apps in the dock like the Galaxy Note)? Or would I need to use a new launcher?
I know Go Launcher has this feature, but it didn't resize the icons/widgets. So some of the icons ended up overlapping each other on the screen. I don't mind Touchwiz. Just thought I'd take advantage of the extra real estate of the screen.
Touchwiz 4.5 (modified Touchwiz) has this feature, stock does not

Not by default, but you can tell it to resize when moving the phone from portrait to landscape.
Just click on settings/preferences/screen settings/auto-fit items.
I've found I actually prefer 4x4 though. It works better with some of my larger widgets. And makes my full-page sized Calendar easier to read.

Beautiful Widgets does the same thing with better animations.
Yeah I got that now and it's good but nothing like the HTC. The clouds don't hover across and the HTC also had a windshield wiper that swiped across when it rained. Thanks though I appreciate ur time..

You sure about that...HTC has had that dating back to the Touch Pro days (I had one in...2009, IIRC).
Plus htc's animations don't stop when u hit the screen these other ones do..

I want mine to stop when I command the phone to do something else. I set mine down to as low as 3 seconds duration. No need to wait on animation to do what I need to do.

That's not true. HTC has had these animations since Sense for windows. They created more animations recently but they didn't copy anyone. Beautiful widgets and many other copied from HTC. If I remember correctly, 1/2 years ago, HTC sent Beautiful widgets a letter asking them to stop copying their widgets and animations otherwise they would have to take them to court.

Hey dude, I've been looking for this widget as well. I remember having it on my iPhone and it was gorgeous with the animations across the clock. I have an android now and ive been spending the last month trying to figure this out. Did you come across anything in your searches?
