Update: This happened to me because i shutdown the phone when it was activating in CM9, I powered down the phone. You have to tap all 4 corners clockwise to skip the initial setup. ...
But other people are losing their imei a different way too. not just by powering down their phone
I'd be careful flashing CM9. greekstile and I, and maybe some other users, have lost their IEMI today. When flashing, I wasnt connected to verizon. I did a factory reset via odin, and a reset dialing *2767*3855# for an out of the box re activation. That will get you voice back, and data BUT you will be roaming. I contacted verizon and I'm currently debating on whether i should get another gs3 or not.

Hi, I can't get data to work on my phone. I was installing a custom rom, and when I rebooted, the data stopped working. I then flashed back to the Stock image using Odin, and the Stock kernel. It still doesn't work. I did this about 3 times and nothing is working. When the phone boots, it says voice is blocked.
Please help, I tried turning airplane mode on/off and rebooted. And like I said, even used Odin multiple times. It says emergency calls only. And has a circle with the slash through it where that signal bar should be.

Okay, i went on verizon and put the imei code and rebooted. and did a factory reset. and i have the 4g icon. I can use the internet, but i cant place calls.
Sounds like you lost your imei. If you did, there is a thread in the development forum that is looking for a solution. Perhaps look there or post the exact process you used

It will wipe all data and have to be reactivated like when you took out of the box. If you run intro problem don't blame me, this will do a complete factory wipe and reactivate from SIM.
Keep in mind, this could make it to where you can't reactivate your phone! You may be able to restore a nandroid, not sure though.

Lifesaver. I did this, and it reset the phone. Now I can make phone calls. But now it says im Roaming. No 4g/3g.

yes, im on stock now. but im roaming, and can make phone calls. and vzw.com doesnt recognize my phone.
If you are still roaming I would flash back to stock and then try the factory reset again there were a couple of people that had a similar problem and that fixed it for them.

It looks like it may have corrupted your Sim card. You may just have to change out the Sim card at the Verizon store

i flashed the cm rom too. So i'll try this again in 30 mins or so. But if this doesnt work, should i call vzw and see what they have to say?

Not sure what your problem is. I have installed this on airfluip1's aosp rom, SimplySimple aosp rom, and Ravers aosp rom and have had no problems. When are you installing? You need to install a rom. Let it boot. Then reboot into cwm and flash this theme. Reboot and let run. Do Not WIPE System. If you do that you are deleting the rom and then installing just a theme which will definately throw you into a boot loop as there is no system to boot into because you have wiped it....

When you install the theme it lets you choose either ICS Launcher or the regular system Launcher...

What steps are you taking during install? I've seen a lot of people lately trying to flash their ROM and the theme at the same time causing loops..

I tried to install it over ravers stock kj6 ROM, didn't wipe anything and that caused a bootloop. Then I installed it on the ICBN kj6 Raver/dsexton ROM and that sent me into bootloop. I reinstalled ICBN, wiped cache, davlik cache, and did factory reset and still I bootlooped. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. :'(

Im probably dumb for saying this, but be sure you're using the kj6 version and not the Octane/Valhalla version, as that will definately cause a loop as well =X

No need to factory reset when flashing a theme, just wipe cache and dalvik.

I downloaded the one in the OP, and tried flashing it. Oh well, I think at this point I'll just wait for Raver to finish his new octane rom and go from there. Thanks for your help though.

This is the CM9 Trebuchet launcher with a few options. Its extremely stable and fast. All credits to the CM team.
You need to push the .apk to your system apps folder or your widgets will not work. I have only tested this on synergy but it should work on any ROM. Enjoy.

You are correct my friend. I just realized I put cm10 instead of cm9, OP updated.
I'll see if I can get the CM10 version working on ICS. I'm not sure if it will be as simple as changing the Android SDK version within the app itself. We'll see......

Mmmmmm. That's weird, I'm using trebuchet now without a problem. Try a cache/davelik cache wipe and reboot.

Cant add any widgets to home screen. When I attempt to i get a "no more room on this home screen" but there isnt 1 widget on there...ive cleared cache/dalvik cache and same thing.

Try going into settings/applications/All applications. Find Launcher.apk and select it, clear data then hit the home button and try to load a widget.... let me know of you still have problems..

That worked. Only widget i cant load is the stock digital clock with the date on the side, every other widget loads fine now though. Thanks again.

Unfortunately The stock weather widget is dependant on TW. It wont even show up in your app draw on another launcher.

Running real smooth for me, no random reboots or anything. I have LZ set to on demand and this sucker is fast lol. I was surprised the battery life was as good as it was being so snappy like that. I even have auto brightness, auto sync'ing, weather apps, and more and still got well over a day with over 2 hours with the screen on.

I would strongly suggest it. Just make a good backup first. You know you can use cwm to make a full backup, then use advance restore to restore apps (data)... or you can also use a 3rd party app like titanium...

i started a thread a while ago about the gmail attachments and its had many views and no answers, so i figured i would ask here as well.
i am running pa and i live it, but the gmail thats included in the rom wont let you attach from the app, you can share via gmail from gallery just not from within the app itself. any insight on this would be helpful. thanks

it doesn't come with Gmail. SO which Gapps are you using? I am using the latest and works just fine with me.

I'm having a bit more reboots on this one than CM10, I've had two since I woke up this afternoon. One while checking my texts and another while I was browsing XDA on chrome. Do we still not know why this is happening or is it CM10 based?

I downloaded the Gmail from the market an at first glance it doesn't appear to have an attach option but if you rotate the phone sideways you can see the option to attach just to the right.

First of all, hello! And yes, I'm a n00blet.
I have an AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G that I unlocked and rooted a couple years ago. I have never flashed a ROM to it. My sister borrowed it for about a year and used it. She has returned it to me, and I'm going to put it on Straight Talk (since it is already unlocked, and ICBF to flash my Sprint phone to Straight Talk).
With some tooling around, I decided to try and flash the Avatar ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174227&page=46). Of course, like an imbecile, I decided to try and do this at 1am last night.
I've installed the ClockworkMod app, and everything is fine on the surface. When I try to flash the ZIP of the Avatar ROM, it goes to Recovery like it should, but nothing happens. I feel like I am missing something stupid and will have a huge "DUH" moment when I figure it out.
I am trying to do this off of the internal SD (since the Infuse has the phone memory, internal SD, then optional external SD). From all I have read, this should be possible?
My tech level with computers is through the roof, but my Android tech level is still very elementary.

ETA: I always use USB Debug, and with the install of Clockwork used the i9000 option for installation, thanks to the internet. Which I'm sure is wrong.
if you are on froyo stock first you have to update your phone to gingerbread 2.3.6 here u will find all you need to do that read the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613523 the option C is rooted with CWM recovery and get the gingerbread bootloaders
After that you need to flash the entropy cm9 (ics) located in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601844 this requires a doubleflash.
And finally you can flash the jellybean rom you want (avatar) this also require a doubleflash and don't forget to flash the gapps.

You have to flash the entropy cm9 twice the first time the phone will get stuck in the Samsung logo you have to pull out the battery and boot into recovery and flash the rom again.

No problem, but remember if your phone is on froyo 2.2.1 first update to gingerbread 2.3.6 and then to the entropy cm9 and finally to jellybean 4.2.2 (avatar).

Well i think you can skip the ics gapps but for jellybean you need them.

Yep, went to Odin once I started using my brain again.
It has a Galaxy S/cyan screen. Do I still need to finish the double flash?

You have flash the entropy cm9? If you flash it once yes you have to do it again

Except now, I was trying to run a back up of ICS and now I'm in a recovery loop. Can't get it too boot into ICS now, stuck in CM.

Yes i am on a deodexed rom i have try all roms custome ones and stock and still get that i might tomorrow call tmo and see if they can help

I have 2 tmo accounts with different lines went on jansky and entered with my other account different number it activated the virtual line with the other number i deleted it and there starte with calls and sending me some rare messages from 129 number and some other. Number i called tmo they did some stuff blah blah the guy said something. I went today to tmo store and customer service is closed they said go tomorrow i did called 611 but they could not fix it either they can change the phone? Maybe is the phone or sim card
