Customize ATT ICS? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Happy to be stock, not liking the bloat though.
Just want normal contacts instead ATT junk.
Also how change default 4 shortcuts? I don't want the email button there, want messaging instead as an example.

In the app drawer hit the menu button and then edit then drag away the email app and replace it...hit thanks if I helped

root. get titanium backup ... FREEZE all bloat. you are still stock but you won't see the bloat on app drawer AND they won't run in the background (eat your batt). good luck!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium

no need for titanium or root , disable the unwanted apps from the application menu in settings

Try seanz SKYICS. The latest is based on the stock AT&T release but with no bloat. Runs smooth as butter.
Sent from my Skyrocket running SKYICS 4.2F 6 on XDA - Thanks seanz!

Try Embryo its stock with all bloat removed. No frills or extras. Works great.

tried searching for it and didn't find anything relevant - can you please post a link?
10x
You sure you're on the latest update?
I use go launcher also, and have no problems.
I even uninstalled tw, and go launcher is my only launcher.
If you have titanium backup pro, try freezing tw, and see if that stops the issues you're having.

I'd be especially careful when freezing TW. Make sure that you NEVER delete your launcher, because if you do even accidentally, you're screwed.
I did that once. Whole damn screen stayed black. I was trying out several launchers and was using sbp shell and did not like it. I messed around not paying attention and deleted it before switching default launchers. For like a half hour I just kept hitting buttons and through the grace of god got the little use this by default pop up for my launchers. I must say the whole experience sucked.

That sucks. I usually delete tw and what ever launcher comes with my custom roms because I love zeam launcher. I never encountered a tw related problem though

Same here, tw gets uninstalled as soon as I make sure go launcher is working properly.
I just freeze it for a couple days, and if nothing happens, I just smack that uninstall button!

Default Launcher

Hey guys. Whenever I hold the home button to show my recent apps and then I click the home button, it asks me which launcher I want to use. I always set the one I want as default, but whenever I hold the home button again and then click the home button, it asks me what launcher I want to use again even tho I already set one as my default. This is getting a little irritating and was wondering if theres a solution and if this happens to anyone else. Thnx

What launchers are you using? I'm using LauncherPro as my main and ADW as a backup. I don't get any problems with that. It might be a bad combination or something.

Could be TouchWiz related. I use Apex Launcher and it has it's own special gestures that you can customize for things like double-tapping the home screen.

Go SMS, love stock as well and if the group text function worked I'd probably use that instead.

I use Go SMS. I found that Go and Handcent functioned pretty much the same for me, only Go has a 'send later' option that didn't exist in the last version of Handcent that I tried.
I was using Go SMS but then i started using stock after getting the inverted gapps.
Stock TW for me.

Definitely Go SMS Pro. Well worth it in the long run, but plan on spending an initial hour or so getting it set up just right... and then you're golden.
what I miss, and I wish someone would come out with is the app from my droidx that had EVERYTHING in it. SMS, MMS, emails (exchange, and pop3), facebook messages, etc.. all in one app.
there isn't anything like that is there?
