Rooted inspire data connection problem, Plz help.

Hey guys,
I have a rooted htc inspire running cm7. I was running the Inspired asop rom when this problem started. The problem is that i seem to be unable to get a data connection, The icon on the status bar is greyed out, still has an H with the 2 arrows, and 4 bars, But still if i go to the browser or market or anything involving data it dosent work? I thought maybe it was the rom so i flashed different ones, same result. i reset the apn settings, still the same. now im at a loss. If anyone could please help me id greatly appreciate it! thanks

Did you make sure data was enabled under mobile network settings?
What radio are you using?

I have an AT&T HTC Inspire 4G on h2o wireless, last week i rooted my phone using Android Revolution HD 6.1.1, before I was rooted my internet and MMS were working fine now since being rooted they do not work at all. I had download from the android market the h2o config app and before it worked but since rooted it does not work anymore. can someone please help me?

I had the same problem, you didn't flash a new radio after rooting and the stock one was not meant to be kept so your going to neew to pick a new radio to flash.

Have you messed with your APN setting recently?

Data Connection issues on Inspire
Hi,
I have rooted my phone and updated it to ICS 4.0.3.. Since then my data connection is not connecting and when i also searched for Mobile networks, it returns with networks not found. I sense that there is something i might have not done or may be something gone wrong... Please help me...
Device : inspire 4G
firmware: ICS 4.3
Problem: Data Connection issues
Please help me.

Have u even checked ur APN settings, like the post right above yours asks the other guy? That's the first thing to check

Wifi not working at all.

Hi all!
I have a problem with my LG Optimus 3D. I cannot enable the Wifi, when I tap on the wifi enable icon or try to enable in the Settings it just flashes. A note, I forgot to disable the wifi when I went to sleep, and my phone was on wifi all night, but I think this cannot be the source of the problem.
Here's what I tried so far:
- Hard reset - Wifi not working
- Factory reset - Wifi not working
- Changed the ROM - Wifi still not working (I used this ROM)
Any suggestions ?

If the wifi is not working in any situation consider to put it back to stock, clean it up and give it to assistance to repair it.Might be a faulty WiFi module. Are you sure that you don't use a fixed IP on the phone or your router is faulty?Just asking...

Thanks for your answer! My router is working fine, I cannot even turn on the Wifi on the phone. :/
Any more suggestions ?

Well the return to stock and assistance is still valid.Try doing an emergency recovery using update tool from LG.Maybe the new version software- the 2.3.7 version with v21e baseband version, would do something good. Cheers mate and good luck.

This is certainly not the source of the problem. I keep my WiFi always on (from advanced settings, WiFi Sleep policy: Never) which doesn't consume much batter when the phone is on standby.

did the problem occur when you flash the rom ?
in which baseband you had
for example if it was 2.2 baseband and the rom was for 2.3 it can not be flashed with clockworkmod
you should flash the kdz files for 2.3 baseband and then flash a rom with clcokworkmod
i also had problems with wifi and i did flash a 2,2 baseband ( kdz files ) and the problem was fixed

Can someone help me? I got a wifi issue also.... sometime i can't turn it on... and it drains my battery so quickly... and whenever it happens, i have to restart it in order to use the wifi... i think i have a stock rom... i don't flash another rom again since the last rom from thaiz... and there're not a big improve at all...

I had WiFi issues (and signal issues) from wrong base bands in GB. Some ROMs and kernels aren't compatible with certain base bands and you can either lose WiFi, signal or both

unlock i9103 ics

hello and recently updated my i9103 to ICS, was released with samsung unlock and lost, and followed the process but does not work with ICS, is there any method that really works?

I think that he is looking for a SIMUnlock method that will works in ICS.
He had tried this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20670653 and didn't worked for him.

What's the error u got when u used the Galaxy_s Unlock app? Can u provide some screenshot of those error message. That application is compatible for ICS too.

with ginger using our application samsung unlock samsung galaxy r is unlocked for the sim, but with ICS This application does not unlock the sim galaxy r.

I actually have the exact same problem. After installing ICS Q7 or Q9 my network was dropped... which is a bit odd since it was perfectly working in GB even with foreign ROM.
I also tried to unlock... a couple of apps I believe. They all ended up not finding the unlock code.
I've tried to change the CSC and EFS files in order to have a specific source in them but still, the network was dropped.
Any thoughts?

I face the same issue on Nordic ics; I am in India. One solution that works for me is to set 'Network mode' to 'GSM Only'. This will effectively put you on '2G only' network, and seems to have solve the network problem for me. If you don't mind 2G, you can try this.
This can be found under: Settings > More...> Mobile networks > Network mode

I tried this approch but the network is still dropping even while using 2g only. It would have solved half the problem though

At least for me it works.
Though you might be aware of this, I thought it might be helpful - when you restart the phone network mode resets to GSM/WCDMA (Auto). You will have set it back to GSM Only after each restart.

How do you know it doesn't work? Does it say 2G in the status bar or does it say "H"?

Or it doesn't say nothing, maybe an APN issue...

Could have been a bad download, try redownloading and reflashing.

i have download more then one verson and try to format and dowload 7.1 or 7.2 nightly and the same problem
now i use the eaglblood (cyangonmod) and the same problem
but when i use stick rom 2.2.2 the 3g work normaly >>

Do you have an LG-P999 or the Tracphone G2x (which is actually a different model number). Look under the battery cover. If it's not P999, then these Roms won't work

the 3d work in sticky rom but not in cyangonmod

Seems like you don't really know what you're doing! Where are you using that phone(which country) and carrier? There is no problem with cyanogenmod... What's your baseband and ril? Download get ril from play store and install correct ril

ChaCha with Jelly Bean 4.02 network problem

Hi guys, I have rooted by ChaCha and flashed Jelly Bean 4.02 onto it and noticed that it won't turn the mobile network on after I enable it It will if I reboot the phone but never does when it is turned on for longer period of time. Do you know how it can be fixed? It is very inconvenient to reboot the phone when I need to turn the mobile network on.

I have other problem. My mobile network is not working. When I enable it in settings, E is shows on signal but browser won't load sites.

Yes, they work on Wi-Fi but not work on Mobile Network.

i have the same problem... wifi works perfect, but when i'm out of range of wifi, and i enable mobile network (3g?) i can't load any sites...

check APN. look if there is a proxy maybe?
