I have same problem with Donut HD 2.2.9, and now with ThJap ThGO2 v.17.

My gallery was also too much slow, many times even restarting the pictures.
Reinstalled Bravia, poke build.prop, etc, nope. Also installed QuickPic, but it has no Bravia support, so the colors was kind of fainted.
So...
Finally tried Cool 3D Gallery at Google Play and...
Tada!
A free, no-ads, cool, newer and very faster version of the default gallery, with Bravia support etc.
Hope you enjoy it and have a nice day!
But Cool Gallery doesn't sync with Facebook gallery...

Can anyone find the NEW MIUI photo Gallery, Not the MIUI 3d one... I have that one and its FAST but I LOVE the new one that allows you to hide folders... like wallpapers folders and other when you dont need to look at them all the time. Kind of like the STOCK HTC EVO gallery that you can hide folders.

Found there 3d one that is REALLY fast but I want there new one... i found the app but dont know what lib file goes with is, and found there music player that i love!!

Here it is, straight from the newest ROM. If there are any changes in this week's release (which happens tomorrow, March 11, btw), I'll post it here. Usually, there aren't. But on this one, if it works (it might depend on a custom MIUI lib file for mediascanner) has some neat transition animations.

Yep I need to find the lib file... for the MIUI Gal. I LOVE THIS GAL!!! I flashed miui just for this feat.. Hmmm I Might have to pull apart there rom and see if I can find that LIB file...
The miui apk that was put up wont install...is there something else I have to do or no????

You might have to push it to /system/app.
I was just wondering why the miui music app doesn't show the equalizer. Is that feauture just not supported with cm7? I know its also part of the lockscren in the miui rom and that also uses the framework so I guess it may be the same right? Just a qurstion. Thanks

Found a great link to make a copy of the miui lock screen... you cant pull the org one because its built into the framework. :-(

I have 6 Miui music apps all a bit diff... I re-flashed to CM7 to try them... so far no luck to get the equalizer to work. I have found some nice themed ones, found blue, grey, black, and others.
FOUND ONE WITH THE EQUALIZER!!! hope this helps!! Look at main post for the screens and apps.

won't work, the one from those Roms needs the HTC framework in order to run
cm7 does not have that, i would look into quickpic in the market
I really doubt you'll be able to just install Sense's gallery and have it work. If you want something closer to Sense's, check out QuickPic on the Market.
There's also a way to hide album art from the gallery. I think you just name them all albumart.jpg or something close to that.

Is this just an android issue? It has happened on all roms so I know it can't be the rom. Does this happen to you as well?

This only happens on the stock gallery. Quick pic gallery refreshes anytime I download a new image without any need to reboot. But I like the stock gallery better since it also has my picasa album also. It sucks it won't just work right.

Anyone recommends a nice slideshow photo widget (supports more than 100 photos)?
Been struggling finding such a widget. Most of them r either showing low quality photos or supports only a few photos...

On my LQ2 ICS UK Carphonewarehouse O2 Note there is a preinstalled photo slide show widget called "Photo frame". Just select more than 1 pic to be displayed and it transitions between them at good res etc.

Ive tried the preinstalled one but for some reason It keep breaking on my rom so im using an app called various photo widget has a few probs but as I write this I notice it has an update so will report back if it fixes my issues

Yeah it comes with the note gallery app. It's good but it's only limited to 100 photos.
Various Photo widget is good too. Nice resolution and I think unlimited photos (I have 400+ in a folder) but it gets stuck a lot of times and u have to re- set it.
Any other suggestions?

i use "turtle photoframe". Its a great slideshow widget.
Just install ICS gallery from google play. Its free and works even on GB rom.

But this is only possible with playmemories uploaded photos, right?
in my album app, the albuns like facebook, picasa, globe, maps, etc, neither of them appear, the page it's just empty.
