I am getting a problem.. actually i want to edit my boot splash image..
Can anyone plz help me on how to decompile boot.img n how to edit thaf image or if i want to write some other thing there
I'hv searxhed about this n i've got many forums on this but its too complixated for me
So plz can i get an easy n fast method.. I have windows 7 on my PC.. do i have to change it for editing these files?

Install dsixda kitchen. Then extract it using dsixda kitchen. Then download the tool by pratyush.creed sir for changing png to rle. Make ur image (png-240*320). Then convert it to rle. Then replace d beni.rle with your one. Then recompile it back..

Hi,
Unzip the ROM you are going to use.
Navigate to system/framework/framework-res
Copy it to your desktop.
Choose the mod you want in the kitchen.
Go to upload files/system
Navigate to your desktop and select framework-res.
Upload the file.
Should work.

i did it!
i have copy it to my computer from my sensation at first.
but when i want to upload the file "framework-res.apk" to the kitchen,it takes sometime ,but in the end kitchen says "security error"!
it can't be uploaded sucessful.
so i don't konw why it can't......

The uot kitchen has been down for a couple of days throwing these errors out.
It is now back online and working.

I have the same problem. UOT wont upload the systemUI or framework res .
I tried copying on desktop as suggested above but still the problem exists . Any help?

Even me!!
Same here too,also when ever i try to enter uot, the kitchen will be full,i think the developers instead of cooking android,they sleep as if it is bed room.
All guys leave us place to do something in androi kitchen(for disgusting people who time pass in kitchen)

Uot isn't hard...if you see on the website, the instructions there are pretty straightforward and clear...

There is a step by step process on the website , you dont need a guide for that

The file is cooked within an hour!
Next day you won't find it, as uot handles loads of requests!

how do i add new smileys like "<3" and stuffs to stock gingerbread mms.apk? i donno how to add.. but i have the png off the smileys that i wanna add..

U should be rooted to do the following :
Copy ur stock mms.apk using Root explorer
then copy that file on windows and use APKedit tool to edit the png to need
or jst open dat apk with WINRAR / 7zip and replace the png
-----**-*-*-*------------------------------------------*-*-*-----
U will Find APK edit tutorial on xda-developers jst search for it

im already rooted and already started modding the stock mms.apk what i want to learn is how to add more smileys and even the "<3" so that when i recieve a message with a <3 it will show a picture btw i am modding 2.3.6 mms.apk for my samsung galaxy pocket..

Well in that case if ur trying to add more smileys jst more than they are present in stock then its jst next to impossible coz u have to write write separate lines of code for each new smiley u add , why dont u use any other app for mms instead of the stock one this will solve ur problem and u can try editing the png's of the alternative app this will WORK !!

but i love the stock mms.apk i tried once changing the mms.apk but the screen does not glow when i recieve sms thats why i really want to just edit the stock one even if its hard work i wanna know how
Well in dat case why dont u attach ur stock mms app with the nxt rply i will try to figure out wat u want and do it for u , also if successful i will post the GUIDE too

I am using cywgin kitchen for creating my custom i saw kid koala post for the same i edited every thing i wanted in system/app i edited the build.prop my concern is i am.not able to get the boot.img file or system.img file what should i do and one more thing after decompiling Systemui.apk what should i do with it and how would i be able to use my own wallpaper and tweak what should i do in build.prop to give my name to the rom and signature in the recovery and i have managed to give a boot animation to the rom i have chose samsung or nexus as experia is ownd by Optimus RS
What should i do in it to design the rom i have seen.the kid koala thread in which u told him to go.into.recovery and connect the phone.to the pc to.create system.img i did not understand it help me buddy help me plz i.beg u plz do.help me what should i do i have seen system.img in the zip of all ur roms all credits of this rom would be given to xbsall optimus Rs kid koala drastic faux sound or acid audio if i enter those apk in my system.folder plz help.me guys i beg u for this

I want to do some modification in my home apk bt apk tool for android is not working for me...even they didnt recompile apk without any modification... Is any tool whic can do this. .. I want to edit some xml file..
