[REQ] Alternative to HTC News widget

Anyone want to create a scrollable news/rss widget to replace HTC News widget? Any other peeps out there want to see this? I don't want to use Sense and it's my favorite widget. Have tried to no avail to find something similar and nothing comes close. The other I was looking for was a replacement for Friend Stream, and Pure Messenger fit the bill perfectly. But haven't seen a suitable 'News' alternative.
I use Newsroom Pro.
I'm EVOing via tapatalk
Does it have a scrollable widget that integrates all the feeds not just one? I installed the free one earlier and immediately ditched it because it didn't do this. Maybe pro does?

[REQ] Mail Widget Mod

I really like the HTC widgets, pure messanger doesnt compare. on the other hand, htc's mail app doesnt compare the gmail app, atleast for me.
my request is for someone to mod the widget to launch gmail instead of the htc mail client. would be nice if the specific email opened, but the main gmail app would be good enough for me.
Bump please? Lol.

Email widget

Id like to know if its possible to install thale stock mail.apk and htc mail widget to a Nonsense Evo.
If not is there something similar I could install??
EVO nosense.
Specifically what are you looking to do? Non-sense ROMs should have a mail app. Not sure about widgets since I don't use mail widgets but do you just want something that displays emails on a homescreen widget?
Thats what im looking for. The stock rom has a mail widget where I can see my emails on one of the screens 4x4 size. Where I can check my 2 hotmail accounts and my gmail account.
EVO nosense.
Ive been using pure messenger. Looks a little nicer than the sense one, but can be a slight buggy with updating.
Ill give that a try. But more suggestions will ve read.

Using pure messenger. Almost perfect substitute for what I was looking.
Thanks for the info.

Sigh, I'm also looking for a solution to this. On stock I had the Sense email widget for my exchange emails and it was awesome. The lack of good 4x4 email widgets is appalling.
I've tried Pure Messenger but it requires K9 mail which I simply can't get to work with my server.
I've tried "email widget" from the market, had to do some terminal work to get it to install as a system app, and it works, but looks like crap, text is way too small and runs together.
Really missing that Sense email widget.

Hi,
Can I get this people widget apk.
Thanks,
JM
It's not a standalone widget, only comes packaged with LauncherPro. I believe it works fine in the free version, but LP Plus is a great app for the ~$1.99 it costs.

[Q] What happened to the Google Calendar Widget?

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm coming from a N1 with CM7.1 and I don't know if this was a Vanilla Android thing or a CM thing, but one widget that I LOVED was the Google Calendar widget that would give me my schedule up to a week in advance on my home screen. After my daughter threw my lovely Nexy down 12 flights of stairs in an obvious act of jealousy, I got the Skyrocket, and I can't find anything equivalent to the old Google Calendar Widget I used. Was that a Vanilla/CM7.1 exclusive feature or am I doing something wrong? It's not listed in my widget list, nor can I find it on the market.
TIA
Hate to bump, but does anyone have an answer or solution to this? I really do miss that widget..
Missing Google Calendar Widget
Even on my stock Galaxy sII Skyrocket I do not have access to the Google Calendar Widget.
I rooted the phone & installed Titanium Backup, Rom Manager, etc.
Haven't been able to find a stock Google Calendar widget.
I have now also removed some of the bloat-wear on the phone from AT&T and Samsung. This has resulted in the stock calendar widget that Samsung installed being unavailable as well.
Any assistance in being able to install a stock Google Calendar Widget would definitely be appreciated.
BUMP
Actually I'd like to know as well, or if there's the working widget (originally on the stock Gingerbread OS) for ICS.
Try
smooth calendar
In the store
Edit: I use pure calendar, btw
