Do you like Jelly Bean lockscreen?
But our Galaxy S Blaze 4G is currently running Gingerbread, not Jelly Bean.
However, there is an app called Holo Locker that you can easily download free from Google Play Store.
This lockscreen is better than Go Locker.
Try it.

Have the exact same one along with Holo Launcher. Got to say, freaking awesome.!
Also, in the dark, I cant help but think my Blaze is a Galaxy Nexus.!! I swear.! Lol.!
Ha I use holo launcher didn't know there was a lock screen version to. Nice, but I always have a pattern lock on so I don't think it would make a difference for me lol

I want to use Go Launcher on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but I love the default ICS theme. But the reason for me wanting to use Go Launcher is the added functionalty and widgets, however, is it not possible to keep the ICS design intact? I've tried some of the ICS Go Themes, but they're not good enough/close enough to the real ICS. Is there any themes out there for Go Launcher that actually is 100% the same as the default ICS? Or is it stupid to use a ICS theme for an already Android 4 mobile?
I guess you should just use go launcher with any theme you like, dude, you already have ICS!!! You dont need theme.

After using it for a day I just could not accept the tw launcher and had to install ics launcher.
Just wondering if anyone has found the touchwiz launcher useful and if so why?
If you ditched it which launcher did you go to?

TW ruined the ICS that's all I can say.

It's not a terrible launcher.... Just boring. Not very customize-able. I have and will always use an aftermarket launcher. AdW eX to be exact.
I am using Nova Launcher. I have had no issues with it so far.

Even though I dont have ICS yet (****ty Rogers), I definitely agree with hawk
I was looking for a nexus experience but didnt want to get a galaxy nexus.
Thats why i would recommend Nova Launcher, Ive watched enough videos
I'm neutral, just looks like plain old touchwiz to me. Like the one we've always had, And I think we expected that. But with the added multitasking features And other added features its beem a pleasurable experience so far And I'm thourghly enjoying it.

I would definitely love you if you get it vanilla. I hate touchwiz, most useless software ever.
BTW you got any ETA as to when its coming out?
I ditched it for Apex. Much nicer.
I've always used launcher pro, so i'm super used to it. I just have it set up to have an ICS feel to it using this guide. I've had this for a while now, but now I actually have true ics

This is what it turns out to look like. Not too shabby, b/c I don't really like Nova or Apex that much.

Yea, the touch whiz completely ruined ICS for me. I had ICS running on my Inspire 4G before I upgraded to the Skyrocket, which was aosp ICS. I could definitely see all the differences straight away, and was quite underwhelmed by the ICS leak. I think some of the best parts of aosp ICS are missing. I used apex launcher for a while to try to make it a bit better, but in the end, went back to my NexusMod 4 backup.
Looking forward to some vanilla ice cream goodness.

Besides the launcher (which I ditched and bought Nova instead), I don't know what else is TW. I have no experience with ICS till today's flash-fest, so it all seems good to me (minus the TW launcher).

I've just recently started looking into rom development myself and if I thought I could help yet id offer but I'm not there yet. Keep us posted on how you're doing! I know I'm watching the dev section like a hawk!

+1 fpr apex. I use apex on my galacy nexus and now my skyrocket as well
The thing that annoys me most about TW on ICS is that they got rid of the settings button in the notification pull down. Like... WHAT THE **** SAMSUNG?

They also hobbled the lock screen. AOSP ICS allows for many music players to have controls on the lock screen. Samsung only supports it's own music player to have controls on it's TW lock screen. I just don't get it, why take away features?
On top of that to still not add a widget (since you are forced to use the stock TW music player to have lock screen controls) for the TW music player is just stupid. Makes you wonder how thought out TW is.
I am currently using TW Home and it feels kinda wonky, and with TW Launcher I can't switch the quickicons on the bottom so that's a negative. I have experienced Apex, and Go Launcher and do not like either of them. I am a firm believe that (most of the time) stock launchers are better. Has there been a port of the s3 launcher for our skyrockets? I tried Google and I could not find anything. I know that the regular s2 has a port of it, will it work with our s2?
Go, apex, and nova are the best launchers. Not sure what your problem is.

I Like Go Launcher and Nova. Go is a little on the heavy side, but has a ton of widget addons and they're all free.
I bought Nova Prime the other day. Takes a little while to get used to the setup process, but the app drawer is the best and most functional I've used to date. Nova is also pretty light on resources. Especially compared to Go and TW.
Only launcher I feel ripped off by is ADW. They used to update it almost weekly, but last I checked they haven't updated since december.

My sister is not a power user. So that is the problem, she has a whole bunch of options that she doesn't need or care about.

Well, i guess your either stuck with the wonky tw, or a well functioning launcher like apex, nova, or go that has too many options. Up to you, i like apex the best

I've used all of these, plus others. The free Nova is just faster and imho easier to customize. I use Faster Drawer (from play store) and replaced the stock app drawer shortcut with FD. It organizes apps far better than any launcher I've used. I don't want or need the added features of the paid Nova, though I may purchase to support the developer.

I want to know how to change launchers. When I installed the ROM I had an option between 2 launchers, chose to use one as default. Now I can't find how to change to the other. I am not 100% sure I want the other. But I'd like to give it a try again. Any ideas?

SGH-I727 using Tapatalk, running cm9. Trouble searching? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1754490
is there any rom or launcher for the skyrocket i727 that uses the touchwiz nature ux, with all the icons and screens almost exactly like the galaxy S3?
search only turns up the sky jelly bean rom, but that has different (nexus) app icons and is different in other features.
i saw that the salman ics rom comes close to the S3 rom... but that's available for the galaxy S2, couldn't find it for skyrocket
please suggest something, as I'm sure at least something has to be out there. doesn't matter if it's ics or jelly bean.
any help is appreciated.
thanks

thanks. without your link i never would've found it!
so i flashed cm10 to use it.
but it didn't change the contacts, phone or notification bar style from the default cm style
those are kinda important to me. any way to accomplish that?

Well I haven't read the OP closely enough to know if it was supposed to change those. You could try searching for a CM10 "theme chooser" TouchWiz theme. I know there's some out there.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
thanks. i searched and found a couple of touchwiz themes.
this comes pretty close to the one on galaxy S3.

this might be useful for others looking for something similar too.
OK, so im on the jelly bean OTA and my friend has a Verizon gnex running cm10. My android version is 4.1.1 and his 4.1.2. Not a big difference. I am aware s beam is different from android beam but my s3 has both options in settings and both are turned on. Now that my s3 is on jelly bean can it natively share photos the way stock android does using android beam (Bluetooth)? I tried and my phone started to send using s beam but failed and his phone received a play store link for my stock gallery app that obviously wasn't in there. I figured I would be getting the best of both worlds with jelly bean in the NFC department.
