Hey guys. Just flashed AOKP Milestone 6 and MMS is not working. Before I get flamed however you should know that I have changed the APN from the cingular to PTA one without success. Regular text messages and mobile data are both still working however I'm still receiving the message not sent error when I try to send an MMS. Anyone have any suggestions on a possible fix? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Shameless bump. Come on team. Surely someone out there has a similar problem or at least a suggestion for a fix!
This worked for me - edit the APN and set "bearer" to lte, then save and reboot. I actually think resaving the settings is what fixes it.

I'm using H2O wireless and it took me forever to get the right settings. Did you make a backup of the rom you had before aokp ? If so download apn backup and restore. It will backup and restore ics based rooms. Read the info about the app and it tells you how. Worked perfect for me.

What's happening guys? I've searched through forum after forum trying to figure out why my Boost EVO won't send picture messages and have yet to find a solution to my problem. I did the ##3282# thing, went to Advanced & changed the MMS Server URL to http ://mm.myboostmobile.com (I put the space between the http & the ://mm.myboostmobile.com because I'm a new poster so this site wouldn't allow me to post it due to possible spamming) & still haven't had any luck at all. I can receive picture messages with no problem, but when I go to send them, it appears as if they've been sent out, but the phone that they're sent to never receives them. I've tested this out myself by sending a few picture messages from my Boost EVO to my Cricket EVO, which has no problem sending or receiving mms, and it never receives the picture messages from the Boost EVO. Anybody have any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanx
i have same exact problem
Yea im frustrated it seems nobody knows how to fix this im running ultimate droid 3.3 and everything works flawless except i can not send mms can recieve sms and send but no matter what ive tried as far as apps deleting file and other fixes somebody with more experince please help htc evo on boost mobile oh and the data fix ##data#does nothing wont even ask for msl which i have i hit send and everything nothing /
I tried for 2 weeks to get mms on my new Evo (flashed to Boost). I finally found a solution! I had to post because 1) xda-developers is awesome and 2) I'm so grateful to the original author of the solution (sorry I don't have the name or link for credit) I wanted to pass it along.
Sounds like you guys are running CM ROMs...##3282# doesn't work with CM, but don't worry, you don't need it! OK, ready for the crazy simple fix?? Here goes:
Download and install GoSmsPro from Market
Open the app and go to Menu>Settings>MMS Settings>APN Configuration
Check the Fill APN Configuration Manually box
MMSC = mm.myboostmobile (you know the rest)
Leave MMS Proxy blank
MMS Port = 80
Reboot your phone
That's it! You should now be able to send mms. Still trying to find a fix to receive mms directly instead of having to use web browser. If anyone has a solution please post!

I really appreciated you posted the fix for this particular problem, could you or anybody out there finished the remaining sentence MMSC = mm.myboostmobile if there are more to follow that sentence. Thanks.

There are just 5 posts in this thread and the first post spells out the mm.myboostmobile.com. I can't verify whether setting this in GO SMS Pro is sufficient or not. I did go and get GO SMS but I also did the ##DATA# >Edit>Advanced thing and changed the MMS from the sprint one.
I am getting MMS messages working in BOTH directions. IMPORTANT: At first I was having failures in sending. That was because I forgot to use the whole 10 digit number to send to. They appeared to be sent but they didn't go anywhere. Then I tried sending one to my own number which happened to be complete with area code. A couple seconds later I received it back. Shortly after that I got a message from Boost Mobile telling me that my Media Mail account was activated. So, it may be that simple. Half-working is not good enough.

I dont think boost will be willing to help if I tell them that I have an evo on their network... it sucks on the stock rom that my evo was flashed, mms works fine, and my data wont drop... but if i go with cm7 my mms will not send although it says it was sent and I can receive mms... ohhh and my data goes out every 10 min, so I have to turn 3g on and off to get it working again... but I dont want a sense rom, I love cm7...

OK so its a CM based problem. Make sure you don't turn background data off or mms will not send on CM based roms. The fact that your data keeps swiping is my mms won't send.
I am trying to solve this problem too. I have changed the address in the advanced ##DATA# menu but that doesn't do anything.
I have the 1/11/2012 Energy ROM installed, fresh install actually. Any suggestions?
EDIT: This seems to be related to the ROM, I nandroided back to my original rom and outgoing MMS works.
Not sure where that leaves me now though
if u would like to know the easiest way to do this message me and I will give the instructions. it doesnt require any other apps just your meid.

I think you solved this without knowing.
I just flashed my EVO 4G LTE to boost and everything was good short of being unable to send MMS over 3g (wifi was fine)
You posted to leave the MMS Proxy blank.
So I went into EPST and made sure that mms destination address as correct and then wnet nad set the mms proxy to blank and now I can send mms over 3G.
Hey guys,
I have been trying to figure this out for quite a while now but I can not seem to fix it. I recently updated to the newest baseband 21y and with it came the OTA T-mobile flavored 2.3.4 rom. It actually works pretty nicely except for the fact that I can not get mms to work. I am from canada on the WIND network. The APN's show up appropriately, but It can not send mms or recieve mms. I have tried adding the apns again manually and I still get the same result. I have also search the G2X forums and I could not come across an answer to this particular problem. I think the rom is having trouble switching over to the MMS apn when I try to send an MMS. All the other unofficial roms I have tried have the ability to successfully send mms. If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for your time.
ILL.
Bump!
This might happen to me too if I decided to flash the T-Mobile ROM.
Please help, much appreciated.
Can you describe the actual behavior when you try to send?
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
Can you get online over cellular data? if so, it might be that the MMS apn information isn't right or that the device isn't being identified correctly after the update. Also when you send a MMS does there appear to be any data transferred?
I have a issue ive changed all apn settings and still cannot send mms messages what files has do do with sending mms messages and im on newtoroots info rom,any help ive googled and still have found nothing,im on tmobile and sms messages work fine????

Does data with out WiFi work? Its imperative that you check that since MMS travels through data. Also does newt support t mobile? I remember I had to choose a carrier

Yes it excepts tmobile and yes data works ive even turned off wifi to make sure and data works fine, this has me stumped ive tried every apn setting and still nothing thats why i was inquiring about what controls the mms file wise or if there is something in the build.prop that isnt right,it lets me choose either at&t or tmobile, keeps saying the dreaded "Generic network failure"
You may need to set to default apn. Google play has apps and downloads for it. Might not hurt to give it a try.

. Maybe try go sms app on market for kicks to see if its software related or something screwy . I had to actually call att once due to in there system mms pics was disabled on phn. Also see if you can recieve from other carriers and your carrier. You may just wanna ask for t2 support as t1 support just read from computer screen. Good luck let us know if we can assist you

Ok so after days of looking into this issue i used go sms pro and manual put settings into the apn setting of go sms and low and behold it works,so now ill just use go sms works fine, thanks for the assistance from everyone.I was going crazy even though i dont use mms feature often!!!
Hello,
I've been using AOKP mr2 for the last few weeks, and I love it, except for two things. I cannot seem to be able to send or recieve MMS messages. If I try to send them, it just says "sending" forever. When someone sends one to me, I get a notification of a message, but when I open the notification, it takes me to the send a new message screen, and if I go to whoever sent me the message in the messaging app myself, there is no new message there. I looked through the forums, but couldn't find a solution (though my search-fu isn't very strong).
The other problem I only mention because it could be related. My data connection isn't very stable, and requires me to set it to airplane mode and back to re-establish, especially after I turn off Wi-Fi. This problem I can live with, and as I said I only mention in case it is related to the MMS issue.
Have you checked your APNs? Mms problems are usually caused by incorrect APN setup.

I have, they are the same that they were back when I was on mr1, with MMS acting correctly.

I'd be going with this advice.
Get your apn settings from your carriers website, don't just rely on the settings being the same as they were before.
Three nights ago I succesfully sent an mms.
Yesterday mine were stuck same as yours.
Checked my carriers settings, ****ed if I know how but they didn't match.

I've done a done of searching and I have no idea how I haven't found anyone with this issue. I can't get MMS to work on my N5. Textra just says unable to retrieve MMS and that I should check my APN settings but I can't find what settings should be in there. All my searching just comes up with MMS settings for some prepaid service.

MMS works on hangouts just fine. Try using that or check your apn settings.

Google: LTE apns for ATT. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same issue with Textra. I'm not sure when it exactly started. I think when I updated Quantum ROM to 3.15, but maybe when I froze the stock messaging app. I froze messaging because I would get an alert for incoming message both from messaging and from Textra and even if I swiped the messaging alert away, it would just pop back. I've tried unfreezing messaging and that didn't help (but I'm not getting the extra alert, now). I've found the APN settings on another post in xda forums, but they weren't different from my own. I then when through all of Textra settings and found one for APN settings and it had different MMS APN settings than the phone (it was set to cingular instead of att). I've made them match now and am waiting see if I can receive MMS again. I'd be a little surprised if this fixes it, though, because Textra didn't have any trouble with MMS last month and I never went into the setting for it before.

If you're still having issues with this, I finally got Textra to work on AT&T by changing the size limit of mms to 1mb or below. I emailed Textra's devs and they told me that some carriers limit the size of mms. I guess Textra compresses mms automatically because I was able to send and receive photos just fine after I changed that setting. I was so frustrated with the APN settings, but it turned out to just be the size limit issue. How that helps.
